Half A Heart

I walked into the living room to see Harry on the couch and his legs propped up on the coffee table. It's been three days since Niall and Sandy told us about their relationship, and Sandy still hasn't come home.

I hope she's okay... I want to tell her that I'm not mad... I was just shocked to find out. If she's happy with Niall then why should I be mad? Now All four of us could double date.

I sat down into the couch next to Harry and he put his arm around me.

" I was thinking." I said.

" About?" He asked, playing with the ends of my hair.

" What do you do know? I haven't heard you talk about work yet." I asked. I smiled.

" I actually got a job a year ago back into the teaching feild. I'm a professor at a community college. It's not much but it's something. And since I didnt apply to teach summer courses, I get the summers off." He smiled, kissing my cheek. I chuckled.

" I still need to find a job. I feel bad for making Sandy pay for this apartment." I sighed looking around.

" Move in with me then." He murmered, biting my earlobe.

" What? You don't even have a place to live!" I said. He chuckled.

" I'm actually going House hunting today. Like for an actual house, not an apartment, and I want you to look for them with me." He smiled. I was in shock.

" But I just moved in with Sandy! Like a month or two ago! I can't just leave!" I said, watching the smile on his face only grow bigger.

" But see, if you come look for a house with me, we can sign both of our names on the lease, but I pay for it all."

I gasped.

" No. That would not be fair. No way."

He wrapped his arms around my waist and scooted closer to me.

" Wait you didn't let me finish! How about I pay for the house, and you pay for the electricity or phone bill or some other small bills once you get a job and start making a steady income." He smiled. How could I say no to him. " Sandy and Niall will probably live together soon anyways. If it's been eight months." he added.

i sighed rubbing my temples.

" You should be a salesman or something because you're good at talking people into things." I laughed. His face brightend.

" So you'll move into a house with me?!"

" Eh- I never said I would. But I'll think about it. Give me sometime to talk to Sandy about it and think it through before we go look at any houses though." I stood up. He shook his head.

" Of course. I'll call my realter and tell him not today." He smiled running after me. I ran down the hall way giggling but he eventually caught me and lifted me up, wrapping my legs around my waist.

He walked into the kitchen and set me on the counter.

" Let's call Sandy and Niall and ask them if they wanna go out I night with us. Like on a double date." I smiled.

" And maybe we could bring it up then?" He asked. I nodded.

" Yep." I bent down and quickly licked his neck.

" Did you just lick me?" He laughed I nodded. " You are so weird Maria. And that's why I love you." He pressed his lips against mine.

• Sandy's pov •

" Can you believe it?" I beamed.

" No I can't, but it's amazing." He laughed, wrapping his arms around my waist and picking me up to spin me around.

" This is the best news ever!" I squealed.

" Yeah it is. We should get together with Maria and Harry tonight. I want them to be the first to know." Niall picked up the phone. I nodded. I wonder if they were still upset with us. Nah. I doubt it. Maria never holds grudges with me.

Just as Niall was about to dial their number, the phone began ringing while it was in his hands.

" Maria! Hey! Sandy and I were just about to call you." He said. I stood there anxiously as Niall yapped away.

" Yeah... Uh huh.... Yeah that's exactly what we called you for actually... At seven? At Olive Garden?.... Yeah, okay. See you then. Bye Maria." He hung up.

" We will discuss it with them at Olive Garden Tonight at seven." He smiled. I squealed again out of excitement and hugged Niall again.
