" Yeah. It's really me." I whispered, still taking in his appearance. He looked the exact same. I guess guys don't age very much.

"' What are you-"

" I'm back." I said.

He took a few steps foward.

" You look great." He got out.

I swallowed, clearing my throaght.

" Yeah thanks. you do too."

" It's been so long." He whispered. It's almost as if he didn't believe I was here.

" Yeah... Look, I've got to run. Nice talkin to ya Harry." I said.

He stood there in shock and watched as I walked out the door.
I walked through the cold weather quickly, trying to forget everything that just happened.

" Maria!" He yelled. I acted as if I didn't hear him and continued walking. I passed my car... I didn't know where I was going. Just letting my body lead the way.

" Maria wait!" His voice sounded closer and I could hear him trying to catch up.

I felt him grip my arm to spin me around.

" Why are you ignoring me?!" He asked.

" because, I can't talk to you right now." I said.

" Why not? We have a lot to talk about." He said. I realized his hand was still wrapped around my forearm. I snatched my arm from his grip.

" We have nothing to talk about." I hissed. I turned around and continued to walk, which only made him run infront of me, standing in my way.

" Why didn't you ever visit?" He asked.

" Why didn't you call?" I threatened.

He sighed.

" It was too hard." He said.

" For what? To pick up a phone and-"

" No. To hear your voice. I wouldn't be able to hang up. I didn't want to risk anything over long distance. Distance never works."

" Doesn't matter. We would have broken up sooner or later. Harry, what you and me had was illegal for most of our relationship and should have never happened. It's was a stupid crush and I was a dumb girl who risked a lot just to date a teacher I thought was hot." I said.

I was lieing through my teeth. He stumbled back, as if I had stabbed him in the heart.

he looked at me in the eyes like he didn't know who I was.

" Is that what you thought of us?"

I gulped. I couldn't start crying.

" I need to go." I said. I ran back to my car without stopping.

He didn't chase after me this time.

• Harry's pov •

I watched her run off to her car. I let her.

She looked different. A good type a different.

She had matured, and her dark, brown, beautiful hair was long and full. Her eyes were bright blue with the weather.

I knew for a fact that she had lied. Our relationship was a one of a kind thing and she knew it.

I stomped to my car in anger.

As soon as I got in I slammed the door shut and began driving like a maniac.

My knuckles were white, as I gripped the steering wheel hard enough to rip it off.

How could she say what we had was nothing?

It didn't even look like she was happy to see me!

How could I be so stupid? I'm the reason we lost contact.

I never put in eany ffort.

I didn't notice the car stopped at the red light infront of me.

I slammed on my brakes, causing them to squeak against the pavement but it didn't matter.

I clashed into them.

And everything went black.
