Chapter 14

I had woken the next morning to find myself laying next to a sound asleep Harry. His lips were parted and soft snores were escaping from them. I smiled as I noticed his hair sticking up in every possible way. I looked down to see both of his arms wrapped tightly around me. After my few minutes of distraction, which was staring at the attractive boy laying next to me, I froze as I couldn't recall last nights events. I slowly lifted the blankets to see that I was still wearing clothes. That's a good sign. When I looked back up I noticed a pair of sleepy green eyes watching me.

"Good morning, drunkie." His deep, raspy, morning voice spoke.

"Hi..." I replied, slowly sitting up as pieces from last night starting coming back to me. Oh no. I felt the weight of the bed rise and his arms leave my body as I watched him stand from the bed.

"How are you feeling?" He asked, searching the room for his black jeans.

"Um.. better. I'm really sorry.." I mumbled, a bit too fast. He brought his attention back to me, as a huge grin took over his lips.

"For what?" He teased and he cocked his head to the side, acting clueless.

"Harry.." I groaned and fell back into the bed, pulling the covers over my face. I heard a low chuckle and what sounded like a belt buckle do up. After a few minutes the blankets were torn from my face and I looked up to see a fully dressed curly headed boy hovering over me. Too close.

"Get up, we're going for breakfast." His thick accent still gave me chills, and a smirk was playing on his lips. He left the room and I soon heard the tap from the bathroom running. I used this as a que to get up and change back into my clothes from last night. I mentally patted myself on the back as I was thankful I decided to go with my flats instead of the heels. Once I was fully changed I ran my fingers through my hair and entered the bathroom just as he was exiting. As I was brushing my teeth I couldn't help the thought of what waking up beside Harry everyday would be like. His playful mood automatically puts me in a good mood and I could really get used to it. I exited the bathroom to see Harry leaning against the fridge, his keys in hand.

"Ready to go?" He asked. I nodded and followed him out the door and down the hall. We rode the elevator in silence and I found myself desperately wishing I could read his mind. We arrived in the lobby just as Seth was walking in. Talk about bad timing.

"Hey, Emma!" He called from afar as he made his way towards me. "I barely got to see you last night, did you end up leaving early?" I looked over and saw Harry standing a couple feet away, smirking to himself. Oh man. Now I'm wishing I didn't remember last nights events.

"Yeah, Audrey wasn't really feeling well so I decided to take her home.." I watched as Harry bit down on his lip to stop himself from laughing at my pathetic excuse. I rolled my eyes and brought my attention back to Seth.

"Oh shit, well I hope she's feeling better." He said sincerely, while pulling out his phone. "Hey, I noticed I never got your number. I was going to text you when you left last night but, well... " He laughed as he held out his phone for me to take. I awkwardly typed my number into it and smiled as I returned his phone. When I looked over at Harry, there was no sign of humour left on his face.

"Alright, well I guess I'll see you later Emma." He smiled and gave a quick nod to Harry. Well that was awkward. The walk to Harry's Range Rover was silent. He picked up his pace as he made his way over to the passenger side to open the door for me. I smiled to myself. I guess some things never change. I thanked him and buckled my seatbelt, watching as he walked around the front of the car. Once he pulled out of the school parking lot and made his way onto the road, I thought it was best to break the silence.

"So where are we going?" I watched as he kept his eyes on the road, a small smile placed on his lips.

"That's a surprise." I let out a loud groan. He knows I hate surprises. I took the advantage of the red light and turned my body to face him, giving him the best pout I could manage. He looked over at me and simply shook his head. I let out a frustrated sigh and kept my eyes on him. He truly was the most good looking guy I've ever laid eyes on. The way his hair was sexily pushed back, left with the many prints where he constantly ran his fingers through. His plaid shirt almost fully unbuttoned, showing off his toned chest and lovely tattoos. I personally don't think there was even a point on him wearing the damn shirt. I continued to let my eyes travel down his body. His beaten up black jeans that had one too many holes in them, and were extremely tight. Not that I was complaining. A deep voice broke me from my dirty thoughts.

"Having fun?" I looked up to see him raising a brow, the same smile still playing on his lips. I felt my cheeks heat and forced myself to look out the front window. After a few more minutes of torturous silence, I noticed we had pulled into an iHop. I gasped and couldn't control the excitement that suddenly took over my body. Getting excited over food, typical Emma.

"I remember you telling me you've always wanted to go to an iHop, so here we are." He brought his attention to me, grinning like a little boy. I don't know what got into me, but at the moment I leaned forward and gave him a peck on his lips. He raised both brows, but kept that amazing smile of his on his lips as he stepped out of the car. I followed behind him quickly, eager to try the food. In all my life, I've never been to an iHop but I've always heard about it and have seen commercials that made my mouth water. After holding the door open for me, we made our way over to a free booth. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't packed, but maybe that's because it was still early morning. Although this is a breakfast place. I watched as Harry slid into the booth across from me and locked his eyes with mine.

"So Emma, can you tell me.. since when do friends do this?" Without giving me time to understand, he leaned forward and placed a small kiss on my lips. He pulled back and had difficulties fighting back the smile that was making it's way onto his lips. I knew he was right, but it was extremely hard to not want to kiss him, or hold his hand, or just simply touch him. I knew friends didn't do that because if I caught him acting this way with another girl friend of his, I'd probably die. I frowned and suddenly found the table separating us very interesting.

"Hey, I didn't mean it in a bad way. I actually enjoy it." That caught my attention. "I'm just having a hard time understanding it." A few seconds passed by before I forced myself to reply.

"Some friends kiss each other.." I mumbled, finding it hard to look back into his eyes.

"That may be true, but..." He placed his finger under my chin, forcing me to look up at him. "Most friends don't grab each others crotches and pretty much ask for sex." He smirked. This was humiliating. I moved my face from his hand and he must have noticed my mood change because he was no longer laughing. When I looked back up at him, he was frowning.

"I'm just kidding, Emma." He casually started to flip through his menu,

"Well I didn't find it funny." I snapped. He raised his head in surprise to see me standing from the booth. I made my way down the aisle when I felt an arm tug me back.

"Emma, wait.." I turned to see a hurt expression written on his face. "Please don't go, I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that I just thought you would have found it funny as wel-"

"I'm just going to the bathroom." I simply replied. "I wouldn't leave my purse and my jacket behind if I was leaving." I watched as his face changed from hurt to embarrassment.

"Oh... right." He nodded and kept his eyes on me for a few seconds before casually turning around and walking back to the booth. I laughed to myself as I entered the ladies room. Although I didn't find it funny, what he said was unfortunately true. I groaned in embarrassment as I looked at my heated cheeks in the mirror. I shook my head and turned the tap to splash some water on my face. I sighed as I ripped some paper towel off and began to dry my face. I looked at my reflection one last time before making my way back to the table. He raised his head from his menu once he saw my arrival. He gave me an apologetic smile before talking.

"I think I'm gonna get the Chocolate Chip Pancakes, what about you?"

I opened my menu and began flipping through the pages. There were so many different foods that looked absolutely delicious, I wanted to try them all! But I eventually decided on the Strawberry Banana Pancakes. After placing our order, the silence between us started to become uncomfortable. I shifted in my seat as I looked up at Harry, who was staring back at me.

"I thought you were going to leave." A soft voice came from his lips, leaving me to feel bad when I really have no reason to be.

"I wouldn't leave over something that was unfortunately true, Harry."

"Unfortunately, huh?" A small smirk formed on his lips. "That's unfortunate that you find it unfortunate, because I don't find it unfortunate." What..? I gave him the weirdest, confused look I could manage. He chuckled quietly, before rephrasing himself.

"It's a bummer that you find the situation, grabbing my crotch and all, unfortunate, because I don't. If you weren't so drunk, maybe we could have had some fun." That stupid smirk never left his lips. I hid my face in my hands as I heard plates being placed on the table in front of me. When I finally looked up, my mouth was practically watering. Harry had already dug into his pancakes and put a forkful of his into my mouth for me to try. Once I finally tried mine, I could literally moan from the satisfaction.

"These pancakes are more pleasurable than you." I let a giggle escape my lips as I watched him raise one of his brows.

"Mm, is that right? I guess I'll have to change that.." He smirked, returning back to his food. My stomach twisted in butterflies just from hearing those words come out of his mouth. Of course I was only kidding, as good as the pancakes truly were. I suddenly felt full, finding myself wanting him instead. He hadn't noticed, as he was too busy cleaning off his plate. Once he was done, he looked down at my half empty plate and furrowed his brows.

"Full already?" For food, yes. For you, no. I nodded my head and watched as he called for the bill. After paying, and me thanking him one too many times, we grabbed our jackets and made our way out the door. As we were walking side by side, I caught him staring at me.

"What?" I asked. He shook his head and smiled the one smile I know I'll never get sick of. He opened the passenger door for me and waited as I got in and buckled my seatbelt. I don't think I'll ever get used to his gentlemen like manners. I always find myself smiling when I'm with him. Maybe I should really give him another chance and forget this whole friends thing, although he did mention that he hated relationships. What if he only wants to be friends? He has been teasing me about it so maybe he's just as confused as I am. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't even realize we were back on the road.

"So Seth, huh?" I turned my head in confusion to see his face holding no emotion.

"What about him?" I watched as he pressed his lips together, keeping his eyes on the road.

"Are you two a thing now or something?" What? He couldn't be serious.

"I hardly know the guy.." I stared at him in surprise, waiting for him to speak. He nodded his head, coming to a stop just as we were pulling up to the school. He finally looked over at me and shrugged. Okay... Just as I was unbuckling my seatbelt, I looked down at my phone to see I had a new text message from an unknown number. It must be Seth. Great timing. I brought my attention back up to Harry to see him staring down at my phone, his jaw clenched. I waited for him to say something, anything really, but nothing left his mouth. Once I had gotten out of the car, I looked back to see that he was still sitting.

"Aren't you coming?" I asked, looking at him in confusion. He shook his head.

"I have things I need to do. See you around Emma." And with that, he drove off leaving me standing in shock. So much for a great morning.

Is it possible to see both Emma's and Harry's P.O.V? Sometimes you don't know what the other is thinking so it would nice to see both.
