Chapter 1
I have no idea why this first chapter is all unorganized like below but I can't seem to fix it no matter what I try! So I apologize, but all the other chapters are back to normal after this one!
It was a lazy Friday night where my best friend and I were just relaxing, eating junk food, and
talking. A typical Friday night really, until I got a text about a party that was going on in a couple
of hours. I told Audrey about it, and we sat there debating on going, when we decided we might as well. All I could think of while getting ready was if Harry would show up. Harry was a normal teenaged guy who moved from England and had went to my high school, who I was extremely attracted too. He wasn't popular and he wasn't a loser, he mainly stuck to himself which made him come off extremely mysterious. He had this effect on me, where I couldn't help but want him, and want to know everything about him. The sad thing is, I've never actually spoken to Harry, but he's sent a cute little smirk to me in the hallway before, which absolutely killed me.
I finished applying my lipstick and made my way over to Audrey, ready to go. As I got out of the car, I walked inside the house to see a mob of teenagers dancing. I looked around the crowded room to realize that I've already lost Audrey, so I decided to make my way over to the drinks. After filling myself a cup of straight vanilla vodka, I heard someone coming through the front door and just my luck, it was Harry. I quickly turn the corner and chugged my drink, nervous just by the sight of him. After minutes of my mind going absolutely crazy, I decided to just go dance, hoping that I'll bump into Audrey on the way. As time went by, and I was feeling pretty good, I felt two strong arms wrap around my waist from behind.
"Hey.." I turned my head to the side to see a very shy Harry standing directly behind me, his breath on my neck. I must have went pale because a very amused look beamed across his face.
The only thing running through my mind was how good he looked and why his arms were wrapped around me, talking to ME. I awkwardly turned around to face him, which made his arms fall from my waist, making me instantly regret doing that.
"Hi."
Was all I managed to say, smiling up at him, not able to keep eye contact. He smiled shyly and moved his lips, but I couldn't make out what he was saying because of the loud music.
He leaned closer to me, asking, "Do you want to step outside with me?"
I nodded my head, not able to process what was happening, especially since I was still a bit tipsy. I started to make my way out of the crowd, feeling Harry's hand on my back, leading me out the back door. I sighed in relief as I began to hear the music slowly fade away, but completely froze when I looked around to realize the two of us were pretty much alone, beside a few smokers outside the house, who weren't paying much attention.
"Let's try this again," Harry chuckled. "Hey.." He said once again.
"Hi.." I repeated.
I felt majorly awkward, and prayed he couldn't see the pinkness spreading across my face in the dark lighting. He sat down on the back deck steps, patting the empty space beside him, motioning for me to sit. I walked over and sat beside him, making sure there was a good amount of space between the two of us.
"You looked a bit bored in there, I was too, thought it'd be nicer out here." He smiled, as his eyes roamed the yard around you.
"Yeah." Was all I could manage to say.
He looked over at me, and I could see the disappointment in his eyes. "Hey, are you okay?"
I nodded, probably a bit too fast.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I smiled. "Just a bit distracted."
"Why's that?" He asked with the cutest smile on his face, raising his eyebrows.
"Good question.." I smiled to myself, looking at the ground. I felt a large hand placed on my knee. I looked up to see a shy smile spread across Harry's lips.
"Hey, why have I never talked to you before?" He asked, keeping his eyes locked on mine.
I shrugged. "I'm Em-"
"I know." He said, cutting me off with a smirk. He already knew my name. He was so mysterious, it drove me crazy.
