Chapter 8
Arianna's P.O.V.
I got ready for school the next day. Edward and I spent the night hunting and just talking. He wanted to get to know me. And the more I tell him, I think the more he accepts me as his sister. I'm pretty sure we'll get along from now on.
I found out a lot about him too. We have a couple of things in common.
I changed to this for school:
Edward stared incredulously at my boots.
"Anything wrong?" I asked while getting in the car. Today it was only me and him. The others rode in Rosalie's car.
"How can you walk in those things? Let alone run!" he said shock coloring his voice.
"I'm a girl Edward. Girls are able to wear these kinds of shoes. That's why people make them." I replied rolling my eyes.
He didn't answer. He just sent me another incredulous glance and drove quietly to school.

"Uh, hey Arianna. I was wondering if.....ummm......you want to....uh....go hangout sometime.... with me?" Corey's voice broke at the last word. Why me? Again!
Three guys already asked me out today, and it's only my second day of school.
I sighed "I'm sorry Corey, but I just moved here and it's only my second day of school. I just want to get settled first."
"Oh. It's fine....I guess." he walked away dejected.
I sighed again. Now I'm having second thoughts about being so social. Maybe if I become anti-social like the others, guys won't ask me out so much.
"Why the sad face? What's wrong?" asked my bestfriend Taylor.
Yes it's my second day of school and I already have a bestfriend. I asked Edward to read Taylor's mind to see if she really wants to be friends with me or she just wants to be friends with me because I'm already so popular. But I don't know why she would do that because she's already the most popular girl in school. And besides Edward said that Taylor really wants to be friends with me.
I already liked her when I first talked to her. We have so much in common.
"Three guys asked me out this morning, and Corey just asked me out a minute ago." I said looking down.
"Wow, I feel really bad for the guys. This is your second day of school and you broke four hearts already. Nice." she replied laughing.
We spent the next hour talking and waiting for lunch. I haven't talked to Edward since this morning and it kind of makes me feel uncomfortable for some reason. *Lunch Bell*
Taylor and I rushed out of our seats to the lunch room. I didn't bother waiting for Edward.
"So are you gonna sit with us today?" Taylor asked hopefully.
"I'm sorry but I'm sitting with my family today." I said sadly. I watched her face fall and I feel really guilty. "You know what maybe I'll sit with you guys today, but I need to tell my family first so I'll meet you there."
I saw her face light up "Ok see you there." she gave me a quick hug and walked towards her locker.
I walked in the lunch room, greeting a few people on my way to my family's table, where they were all already seated.
"Hey guys, I'm sitting with Taylor and the others today ok?" I said greeting them.
The others looked surprised but they all nodded.
Edward was well.... he looked hurt. He didn't say anything, I can see from my peripheral vision that Taylor is looking at me expectantly. I gave him one last look then turned away walking towards the other table.......
