Chapter 5
Arianna's P.O.V
I was fuming! Edward dragged me up to Carlisle's office without saying anything. Right now Carlisle is pacing across from me. Edward didn't even say anything for crying out loud! He just saw my face and started pacing. I mean it would be nice to say something. I'm sitting here confused and fuming.
"Can someone please tell me what's going on?" I said angrily. My patience is running out. I've been sitting here for 20 minutes and Carlisle is still pacing and Edward is just sitting there staring at me like I'm some kind of a science experiment go wrong.
Carlisle sighed "How many times do you hunt Arianna?"
Hunting? this is what's it about?
"I hunt when Edward hunts." I said confusingly. Carlisle held my gaze for a few moments. Probably thinking if I'm telling the truth, which I am.
Carlisle started muttering very quietly. Too low for even my vampire ears to hear. But I did catch a two words which is -unbelievable and unnatural.
I am honestly so lost right now. Edward stood up suddenly, startling me in the process. I had forgotten that he was there because he was so silent.
He opened Carlisle's top drawer and pulled out a hand mirror. Now what?
He crossed noiselessly across the room to me, holding out the mirror.
That's when I saw it.
My eyes.
My eyes that was a deep burgundy colour.
Which is now......
Golden.
I stared at my reflection. My golden eyes.
I looked up at Edward meeting his eyes. What's going on? How did this happen? I asked him silently with my eyes.
And his only response was to look away.
"We don't know how this happened," Carlisle spoke at last, "But it's a good thing, since you're going to go to school tomorrow, you don't have to wear contacts."
"Oh, ok I guess it is a good thing." I spoke quietly. "May I go now?"
Carlisle looked at me for a moment and finally nodded.
I walked out, appearing calm. But inside I was freaking out. I reached my room in three seconds.
I sat down on the couch, looking down at my hands.
First, I have this extraordinary self control. Now my eyes are golden, even though it isn't supposed to turn gold yet, it's supposed to turn after a few months or even years. What next?
