Chapter 27
Arianna's P.O.V.
It's been two days since Edward and I kissed. In those 2 days I couldn't think properly. And in those 2 days he avoided me. I was quite stressed in those 2 days because I still haven't told Taylor the truth.
Tonight is the night that I have to tell her. We're attending a party hosted by some dude. A lot of people in school were going and I didn't really want to go but Taylor begged me. She's gonna pick me up tonight. I know that it should be Tyler who's picking me up, but we decided that we'll both tell Taylor at the party.
I added more lip gloss, then walked downstairs to wait for Taylor.

Ah! Just my luck. Edward's sitting alone in the living room. He looked up from the sound of my footsteps and his eyes widened when he saw me.
He immediately stood up to leave but I grabbed his arm when he passed me.
"Edward we need to talk." I said feeling nervous.
He gasped. He looked at me then at my hand. Still holding his arm.
"Arianna. Let go." he whispered in a pained voice.
"No. I'm not letting go until you explain what happened 2 days ago." I said stubbornly.
"Arianna. Let. Me. Go." he said through gritted teeth.
I narrowed my eyes at him. I've waited long enough. I've had enough. I can't think about anything, but that kiss. "No! Not before you explain!" I said, my voice getting louder after every word.
"Let go!" he growled and tried shaking me off. But he accidentally hit me on my shoulder and there was a loud bang as I went flying into the wall.
I sat there shocked at pieces of wood fell onto the floor. In a second everyone was downstairs, staring at me.
"Arianna what happened?" Emmett asked sounding shocked and concerned. He rushed over to me and helped me up.
I brushed off some dust on my shirt and hair. I turned to Edward, glaring at him.
His face looked shocked and pained. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but no sound came out.
"Ask that freaking bastard." I growled and pointed to Edward.
I walked over to him and said, "I just wanted to talk about it. To fix what happened. But I guess that's not happening." I could feel the pain in my chest. Tears pooled in my eyes. Tears that will never fall.
"Arianna I..."
I stopped him before he can continue. "Don't bother. I get it. I get that you don't want to talk. Don't worry, I won't bother you about it. I'll stay out of your life too." I could barely finish the last sentence. It was too painful.
*Beep beep*
We all turned our head towards the sound.
"That's my ride. I have to go." I said.
I ran out of the room, vampire speed. I slowed down right before I stepped off the porch so she wouldn't see my unnatural speed.
I walked quickly towards Taylor's car.
"Hey Taylor." I said, faking a smile.
"Hey Ari. Hop in." she replied smiling.
I entered the car and sat in the passenger seat. She glanced at me as she drove out of the forest and to the party.
"Have you been crying?" she asked suddenly looking concerned.
"No." I whispered.
"Ari. I know you. What happened?" she asked, more insistent.
I sighed. Why does she have to know me so well? "Okay. Edward and I had a fight." I said.
She nodded understandingly.
We rode in silence to the party. At last we arrived at the party. We both got out of the car and headed towards the open door.
As we were entering the house filled with loud music and dancers, she turned to me and asked, "So did you ask Tyler yet?"
Crap. I was hoping she wouldn't ask yet.
"Can we look for Alex and Tyler first?" I asked trying to stall.
She looked puzzled, but complied. "Sure."
We walked around for a while, people I don't even know greeting us.
Finally we saw them at a corner talking. We walked over to them.
"Hey guys!" Taylor greeted them. She kissed Alex full on the mouth.
Tyler and I shared a glance. He nodded slightly at me. It's time.
"Taylor. You need to know the truth." I said, interrupting their moment.
She first looked at me with a puzzled look. But realization replaced that puzzled look. She nodded and said, "Follow me. Let's talk somewhere quiet and private."
Alex opened his mouth to ask questions but I put my hand up to stop him. "Not now."
He gave me a questioning look but stayed quiet.
We walked through the thick crowd and finally we stepped out in the backyard.
The cool breeze swept my hair around.
"Okay. Tell me now." Taylor said, shooting nervous glances at Tyler.
I took a deep breathe and explained. I told her everything. I told her that Tyler is her old neighbour and her first love.
She stood there in shock. Tears welled in her eyes.
Alex stared open mouthed at the revelations.
Tyler stared at the ground with a stiff posture.
"I'm sorry." his deep voice broke the painful silence.
As if his voice broke some spell on her, she finally spoke. "It's you."
One minute she was standing 2 meters away from him, the next she was in his arms.
There's one thing more to tell. And I don't know how she'll take it.
I took a deep breathe. It will be worse if she found out later.
"Taylor. There's one more thing."
She let go of Tyler and looked at me with raised eyebrows.
"What is it?"
I glanced at Tyler, asking for his permission. He nodded yes.
"Tyler and I are together." I said strongly.
