I sang the last line in a high clear voice. And Taylor is staring at me her mouth wide open. Then she started clapping wildly.
"Oh my gosh!!! Your voice is perfect!." she shouted hugging me, not even flinching when she touched my ice cold skin.
She's used to my ice cold skin. She never questioned me about my skin, my unnatural golden eyes and also unnatural pale skin. And I'm thankful to her for that, because I don't think I can lie to my bestfriend.
Taylor is in my/Edward's room. Apparently she's the first person to be in the mysterious Cullen house. Lauren was giving her the evil eye when she heard that Taylor was coming to my house. Technically everyone in Forks knows that Taylor is coming to my house. Jessica was practically begging to come with us but I had to refuse. Actually it wasn't that hard for me to refuse. I told her that Taylor and I aren't exactly gonna have fun. That we'll be working for Carlisle. I lost her at working.
When I asked Carlisle and the rest of my family if Taylor can come over, they said yes although they were worried that Taylor will get suspicious because there's no bed in my bedroom. I reassured them that Taylor won't get suspicious and that I'll handle everything. They agreed that I can have Taylor come over.
Edward just walked out of the room.
I don't know what's the matter with him. We're like on and off and on and off. I haven't seen him since this afternoon.
"I agree. Your voice is perfect." a quiet appealing voice said from the open door.
I whirled to see Edward leaning on the door frame. I heard Taylor squeal in surprise.
"What is wrong with you?" I screamed at him. I don't know why but suddenly I was blinded with rage. I saw Taylor flinch from the corner of my eyes.
He looked surprised and hurt. "What did I do?"
I took a deep breathe "Tay will you please excuse us?"
She nodded understandingly. I told her everything that happened between me and Edward. I had to edit out the vampire parts of course, but everything else was true.
I dragged Edward outside the room and once we were out of Taylor's sight, I ran dragging him with me out the door with vampire speed.
I stopped when we reached the meadow. Edward showed me the meadow before. He said that it's a very special place to him.
I rounded on him "What is wrong with you?" I repeated.
"What?"
"First you hate me, then you don't, then you do, now you're complimenting me? That is absolutely messed up!"
"I'm sorry." he looked at me with regret in his eyes. Also pain.
All the rage that I felt towards him evaporated.
Why is this happening to me? When I'm this mad, I don't forgive them this fast. Technically I haven't forgiven him out loud but I know in my heart that I do.
I must be going crazy.
