Chapter 10
Arianna's P.O.V.
I couldn't stop staring into those deep blue ice. I just stood there and stared smiling like an idiot, until Taylor nudged me.
"Aria!" she whispered.
I snapped back to reality.
"I am so sorry! I didn't see you." I apologized to the guy. He is absolutely gorgeous.
He laughed "It's alright. I'm Alexander by the way." he held out his hand to me.
OMG!!!! Even his laugh is amazing! And his sweet. I mean, I'm pretty sure if I bumped in to another guy, he would either swear at me or check me out. But Alexander is different, he seems really sweet.
"I'm Arianna and this is my bestfriend Taylor." I introduced myself and Taylor, taking his hand.
I saw his eyes widen when I shook his hand. Probably because of how unnaturally cold my skin is.
"So I guess you're new here?" I asked hastily taking my hand back.
"Oh....uh...yeah my family just moved here from L.A." he replied blushing.
"Must be a huge change for you. Coming from a huge city, then moving to a really small town." I said giving him a small smile.
"Yeah it is." he said smiling back. The bell rang exactly right after he said the last word.
The three of us started walking back to the school to go inside.
He turned to go to the office and Taylor and I to the lockers.
Before he went inside the office I called back "Good luck on your first day Alexander. Maybe we'll have some classes together."
He smiled at me "Thanks and I hope so." he winked before going in the office.
I looked happily at Taylor who was smiling at me with an evil look on her face.
"No! Don't do anything! I'm serious." I groaned.
"What? I'm not going to do anything." she said suddenly with an innocent look on her face.
I narrowed my eyes at her "You better not. Come on we're gonna be late."
We entered the classroom and I took my usual seat beside Edward. We waited silently for the teacher to come.
"What's up?" I asked trying to make small talk.
He glared at me and didn't answer. By then the teacher came and started the lesson.
What now? What did I do? I thought we were cool. He seemed to be accepting me as a member of his family. So what's with him giving me the cold shoulder.
I glanced at him and I saw something in his eyes. Something I have never seen before. Not when he and Emmett had a huge fight.
Something that made my heart break.
It was.............
Pain. Pain in those beautiful golden eyes.
He held my gaze. I looked away first. I couldn't stand looking in those pain filled eyes.
