Chapter 11

Chapter 11:

"Niall! Hurry up! He's not moving and his breathe is shallow!" I screamed at Niall.

God what is taking him so long? Isn't he always there for Harry?
"I'm here, what happened?" Niall slid to my side.

"He beat up that Sawyer guy and mid way though, when I was trying to get him off, he just fainted." I explained.

"Shit, let's bring him to his room. I'll deal with him them. You go back and relax with the others. No need to get all worked up over this, you've already have enough. Just go back and send out Zayn." Niall's voice was calm as he studied Harry.

"I think you need to—"

"Please Paris, we know what to do." Niall snapped.

"Fine." I swung the pool door open and marched my way in. "Zayn, blonde wants you." I strut passed him to talk with Jack.

Jack raised his brow his eyes lingered in my direction. "What's with the sassy walk?"

"Niall snapped like a twig." I smirked.

"Ah, Styles in trouble?" He seemed so calm and relaxed.

"Yeah." I raised my eyebrows and licked the inside on my teeth, unimpressed.

"He's just stressed, he's always cleaning up Harry's messes." Jack took another sip of his beer.
"Yeah no kidding. Anyway, what time is it? I think I'm going to head back up to my room." I rolled me eyes, completely annoyed with everyone.

"About three." Jack looked at his phone.

"Thanks, I'll see you around later. I'm gonna go catch up on homework if you need anything." I gave him a smile before grabbing a towel and walking out.

I didn't even blink an eye as I walked past Niall and Zayn in the hallway. Zayn gave me a warm smile, but I stuck my ground and kept walking towards the elevator, strong and independent. Sticks and stones may brake my bones, but words will never hurt me.

Once back in my room, I stripped my swim suit and made my way to my shower. I nearly gasped at the little surprise dangling from my shower. What at first looked like a large spider on its silver web, turned out to be a caught necklace. Strung from my shower head, and wrapped around a shampoo bottle was a long silver chain, with a silver cross.

Detangling it, I peeped my head through, letting the necklace drape down on my neck. I must admit, it's kind of cute on me.

Washing and conditioning my hair always gives me the most time to think. For some reason, showers and science class always get me thinking on life. Like why the hell were we made? All we do in life, is grow up and go to school, then work for the rest of our lives. Even when you achieve greatness, you only solved or cured something humans made. Cleaning up the mess we made. So really, why are we here? What are we suppose to do?

Stepping out of my steamy bathroom, I nearly jumped, yet again, at the sight. Harry sat, admiring my pictures of my childhood, next to my bed.

"Can I help you?" I wrapped my towel even tighter around me.

He jumped. "I, uh, I forgot my, um, necklace." Harry tripped over his words, scratching his neck. "Oh, uh, never mind, you can, just give it back some other time." Harry changed his mind after noticing its position.
"No, it's fine, just give me a second." I fumbled with he chain around my neck.

"No really, it, uh, looks good on you." He fiddled with his fingers.

I blushed at his nervousness. Honestly, is that the same Harry who bitch slapped his 'friend' earlier today?
I reached down to grab my bathrobe off the love seat. "Thanks."

"Uh, yeah." His eyes watched my slip my towel off, under my bathrobe. "I'm, sorry for today." Harry rapidly spit out.

"Which part of today, cause not all of it was bad."

Harry shrugged. "Most of it." He paused for a moment. "The part with Sawyer."

"The world is filled with monsters with friendly faces." I smirked but watched as Harry stiffened. Clenching his fists, he abruptly got up and started towards the door. "Wait, Harry! I didn't mean it like that!" I called after him. "I was talking about Sawyer, not you."

"Promise?" Harry snapped his head back with a stern voice.

"Of course." I sweetly replied, hoping he would come back.

"Sometimes you just need someone to tell you you're not as bad as you think you are." Harry huffed. "Some things you can't forgot."

"Only a fool trips over what's behind him."
"Then I must be the world's biggest fuck up, cause the past is always with me, just waiting to mess up the future."

"What could have been so bad to make you think that way?" I took a seat next to him.

Harry didn't respond, he just looked down at his left wrist. Words scribbled in a tattoo. Those words meaning more than his voice could ever preach. He has so much to say, but he doesn't know how. I've never heard silence quite this loud.

Fight Off Your Demons

Without thinking, I wrapped my arms around him. I'm a strong and stubborn person, but my heart aches when I see misfortune or struggle. And frankly, something broke Harry, clearly he's not as bad as he seems to be. Everybody's got a story, and it may not be pretty, but you can't let it get in the way of seeing the true person on the inside.

Again, you didn't say or do anything, just staring at your tattoos. Clearly you weren't fazed with my actions, so I stopped. Letting you sit on the edge of my bed, back towards me, I started changing, slipping into a sports bra, white v-neck and grey sweatpants.

"I'm going to catch up on my studies, feel free to stay." I grabbed my backpack and assembled my books and folders on my desk, next to my laptop.

I'm easily consumed in my reading and writing of history and english, not even bothering to check the time. I periodically parsed Harry, making sure he was alright. And after nearly two hours of not glancing back at him, he had fallen asleep. His heavily tattooed arms snuggling my pillow, pressing it hard to his chest.

I smiled and covered him with my duvet. Moments later his phone buzzed loudly next to him. I lunged for it, to keep from waking him. A text from Niall appeared on his lock screen.

> Dinner is in 15, you better not be late or I will shoot you <<br>
Pleasant.

I set his phone back next to him, and left Harry to sleep. Maybe I could explain to Niall that sleep was the best thing for him.

Nearly seconds after I pressed the basement key in the elevator, my door burst open. "Paris." Harry was breathlessly panting.

"Uh, yeah?" You didn't say anything so I just waited, doors wide open. "Are you coming or not?"

He gave me a dull look before making his way to the elevator. His breathes were uneven and shallow, as if he had just ran two miles.

"You checked my phone?"

"No, the message flashed on the screen, it was only from Niall." I defended

"Don't ever touch my phone." His voice was husky and rough.

"Sorry." I mumbled.

The rest of the elevator ride was an awkward silence. Nothing to be said, although it seemed like there was something between us creating distance.

"There you are, everyone will be down in like two minutes, where have you been?" Niall acknowledged Harry but not me.

"I'm here now, aren't I?" Harry put up his arms and pushed past Niall.

I gave Niall a look and humbly walked by. Shortly after I sat down at a table in the corner, Zayn and Casper stumbled in, completely drunk. Normally we sat together, all of us, Liam, Zayn, Niall, Jack, Finn, Casper, and I. But currently I sat alone, everyone else split up, sitting by there other friends.

"Aye, listen here." Harry shouted, grabbing everyone's attention. "Lou is ordering new clothes for us, so if you have any requests they need to be approved by the both of us. Casper and Zayn! If you don't detach yourselves in three seconds I will have a gun to your head!" Harry snapped a mere two feet from them.

Damn, I really hope they don't keep their threats.

"Next week is packed and I don't want another shower of cunts to get in the fucking way. All of you little shits better be on your best behavior. Now get those asses up and eat." Harry stalked over to the food on display on the kitchen counters.

Today's dinner consisted of chicken noodle soup and breadsticks or a turkey loaf and mashed potatoes.
Settling down at my empty table with my soup, a chair slid out. "This spot taken?" An unfamiliar face smiled.

"Depends, are you going to be an asshole with cheesy pick up lines?" I was not in the mood for some tattooed prick, I could have sworn I saw in 8 Mile.

"Damn, what's wrong with you bitch?" Great, exactly what I didn't want.

"Fuck the free world." I kissed my three fingers and out my middle one up the sky. Hunger Games meets Detroit. My best comeback, humor.

"Damn, slut, who fucked you too hard?" The guy smirked as I made my way towards the door. "Like we all know you been shagging everyone here, but shit, who's the lucky guy?"

I stopped in my tracks. "Go on, go ahead and tell these fucking people something they don't know about me." I stopped and gave him the center of attention. They guy just sat there, utterly shocked and confused. "That's what I thought."

I swung the door open and marched towards the elevator. Literally how many times to I have to put up with shit from these people. Why did I move in and become friends with these people. It seems like all they want to do is see me fail.

Returning to my room, I started getting dressed. I'm going out, getting away from all this just to purge my mind.

"Paris." A voice called right as I opened the front door.

I literally want to punch everyone in the face and just tell them to all fuck off. "What?"

"W-where are you going?" Harry stuttered.

"Out." I was literally being so rude for no reason.

"I'm coming with you." He demanded without telling otherwise.

"No, I want to be alone." I crossed my arms deifying him.

"Do you know how dangerous it is for a pretty little girl like you to walk around these streets alone?"
"I don't know, I guess I'll find out."

I turned and marched out the two large doors. Harry might have an inkling about this, but I couldn't care less. For some reason whenever I seem to do what he says, disaster follows closely behind. But I can't dish out all the blame in him, I've made some pretty bad choices too. Like why the hell did I even move here? Why have I been stuck in the middle of every fight or blood incident? However, even with the world's question racing around in chaos thorough out my brain, two question bothered me the most. What could have possibly happened Harry to make him the twisted soul he is today? - and - What do the markings on my wrist mean?

"Paris, stop." I glanced over my shoulder, to find Harry pulling up in his car.

"Can I help you?" I didn't even bother to turn around. I just kept looking forward at what lies on these dirty streets.

"Yeah, you can stop walking and deifying me and get in the car." He was stern with annoyance, not so much anger.

"Now why would I do that?"

"Because you know that if you don't I have no choice but force you into the car before you get mugged, kidnapped, or raped."

I stopped in my tracks and cringed, raped?

"Come on Paris, I couldn't live knowing I'm one man down." Harry tried to but sweet but came across to me as an asshole.

"You drive a hard bargain, but I'll take my chances." I continued walking.

"Fine, you give me no choice."

Harry slammed on the brakes and crawled over the divider, jumping out of the car window, like NASCAR drivers. Moments later my feet were taken out from beneath me and I was flipped upside down. Flopping, with my head bumping into Harry's hard back, my stomach digging into his collarbone while I awkwardly sat on top of Harry's shoulder.

"Put me down asshole!" I kicked, and punched his back repeatedly.

"Alright." He dropped me into the passenger seat if his car and ran around the front to get in his own door. I attempted at opening the door before repeatedly gripping the handle and pushing. "There's no way your getting that open Paris, kid lock." He smirked.

I wiggled my eyebrows and tried to roll down the window so I could reach my hand out and open the door. But once again it would not budge. Glancing over at Harry, taking notice of his cheeky grin, his fingers were on the window lock.

"Damn you, I hate that window lock button, gives you way too much power."

Harry just let out a strangely funny laugh, a very excited and happy laugh. Obliviously he was very entertained by something.

"What's gotten into you?" I raised an eyebrow.

"You crack me up sweetheart." Harry chuckled some more. "Alright, so where are we heading?" He contained himself long enough to speak.

"I don't know where you are going, but I was justing wandering while I think."

"I do that, walk until you've made up your mind on something." Harry admitted.

"It's calming." I agreed. "I'm kind of hungry, any suggestions?"

Harry smiled and put the car in drive. "I know just the place."

Notes

Sorry for not writing. I've written 16 chapters but my iPad has been SO glitchy lately. anyway, I've been so busy lately! I just got back from Y.I.G (youth in government) from a four day hotel thingy. Like we were in this huge Hilton hotel, everyone getting rooms on floor 7-24 and then going to the capital or takeover the convention rooms in the hotel and writing and passing bills!

^that sounds really boring! but there was a dance, and damn, I've never seen so much grinding. I literally everyone was in a most pit of couples. And this one guy came up to me and started grinding on me. Ew.

thats all, hope you like it!
