Stuck In A Room With Harry
Chapter 16
Harrys POV.
She knew.
Hunter knew exactly what happened this morning….or at least how she found herself. I continued to hide behind one of the curtains in the corner until Alola passed. I was going to go up there to see Niall but as I did, he came back here. I guess to get some sleep.
I decided that I should talk to Hunter about what happened this morning and get it off my chest but Alola had gotten up and so I hid until she passed. Little did I know, they were talking about Hunter and how she go into my arms in between the night.
I sighed and closed my eyes, brushing some of my curls back. I really hope the boys didn’t think I like her. I mean yea, some aspects of my thinking of her have change but I still don’t like her still. I just… it’s too much to think about without going crazy. The one thing that Alola said though stuck in my mind.
“Just let it happen naturally.”
What did she mean let it happen naturally? Did Hunter like me? Or have any other type of feelings towards me that isn’t hate? Uggggghhh. This is way too much to be thinking about in a cramp corner.
I peeked around the corner and made sure no one was around, looking left and right, I stepped out and headed back to the seating area. I push the curtain open and saw that everyone was awake, talking. No one noticed that I came in so I quietly sat back down on the couch nearest to me, taking out my phone.
I pretended to be busy on my phone, trying to ignore the side conversations going on around me. At this point, I could feel everyone’s eyes on me and it was super uncomfortable. I peeked up and to my luck, everyone’s eyes were on me.
The look on their faces basically gave it away that they were talking about me and Hunter. Their just lucky I tuned them out and concentrated on my phone. “What?” Someone had to say something so I decided to break the silence.
“Oh...uh... nothing. How ya feeling?’ I was mentally laughing in my head at the fact that they could be so obvious and a little freaked. I’m guessing they all saw or Alola told them. I swear if its one thing Alola had, it was a big mouth. “Uhh yeah, why?” They all kind of hesitated and looked around at each other before answering me. “No reason. Just asking.” I nodded, a little annoyed and stayed on my phone.
I scrolled down all my pictures and stopped at one particular one. The one of me and Hunter. We looked so happy. So calm and no hate shown in this picture. No one knew I had this picture. I don’t know if she remembers it but it was something that I kept because in so unknown way it was special to me.
I just had to figure out why.
Hunters POV.
Worried.
The only emotion I could possibly feel right now. I mean I don’t understand why I feel any type of emotion towards Harry, which is bad. The worst part is the rest of the group getting ideas but what could I tell them? I don’t even know what’s happening between us. The fact that my hate for him is not that strong as it was low, and i have the feeling that I’m not the only one who can see that.
Without even realizing I was here, I parked in the dirt driveway and stopped the van. Thank god we were here, I need to clear my head.
I pulled the keys out and got up from the seat. I heard the faint noise of the back doors opening so I figured that they knew we were here. I went to the back and basically everyone was up and heading out, clearly wanting to stand up and stretch.
“Good morning guys!” I jumped out the van and onto the ground, crushing the tiny spectacles of dirt under my boots. I turned towards the big cabin and stared in awh. The amazing features of this house will never stoop to amaze me. I could hear talking but they were faintly drained out as I continued to memorize every piece of the outside of the house that I could.
I looked over to the fountain that was in far right area surrounded by the trees that were curving around the fountain. My body instantly went over to it, never taking my eyes of it. I can still reoccur the fountain being built, it was just like it was yesterday.
Flashback…
“Mommy!” her little feet carried her over to her mom, single flowers tickling her legs as she went along. She jumped into her mother’s arms who swiftly lifted her up. Little small giggles escaped the mouth while her mother swung her around happily. Both laughing under the blazing sun.
“There’s my little bunny!” She nodded her head at the little cute pet name her mom had for her at the time. It’s what she always called her, although she never forgot her birth name but it seemed like it.
She put her down and bent down to her level, making eye contact with the little girl. Her mother’s swift green eyes stared into her daughters cold blue ones. She put each hand on the little girls’ shoulders, steading her so she fall. “Bunny, I want to close your eyes, okay?” Hunter’s cute little face scrunched up into a confused look, not sure way.
“But why mommy?” Her mom smiled a sweet smile, not denying the hint of surprise evident. “I have a surprise that I want to show you.” The little girl jumped up and down in happiness, joy taking over her body. “But you have to close your eyes” She nodded, anticipating the surprise that she just had to know. The petite girl squeezed her eyes closed, her mother’s laugh ringing in her ears which made her smile also.
She felt her mom’s soft hands cover her eyelids and turn her around. She held her small arms out, feeling nothing but air but not wanting to bump into anything even though her mother had her. ‘Just walk a little bit more.” She did what she told, her feet leading her behind her mother’s pushes.
“Okay stop” She stopped in her spot and waited for what was next. The silent anticipation of what her mom was hiding from her was slowly killing her inside. She had to know and the suspense wasn’t making it any better.
“Can I open my eyes now mommy?” Her mom chuckled once again, humored by the little exact replica of her little need to wait. “Okay bunny, go ahead and open them” Her mom removed her hands and she slowly opened her eyes, afraid yet jumpy to see what was the surprise.
Her eyes widened at the site of the beautiful marble statue-like fountain in front of her. It was huge with 5 small pillars on each side, a stone like block resembling a seat with a woman sitting on top looking down. It was absolutely gorgeous and the small child loved it.
“You love it?” She looked over to her mom and nodded frantically. Her mom smiled widely and bent down to hug her little child, the only one close to her.
She pulled away and looked deep into her daughter’s eyes. “Hunter, I want you to know that I love you deeply, don’t forget it. The fountain represents our love to each other. A bond so strong. Okay?” The little girl didn’t understand to the full extent of what her mother meant, but she nodded anyway.
Little did she know, her mother would be killed that night.
Flashback ends…
I felt a single tear slide down my cheek as I brush my hand softly against the marble fountain, fear of breaking it. Fear of breaking the lasting love between me and my mom, something that was taken from me.
“You coming Hunter!” I didn’t look to the direction of the voice but nodded, hoping they could see that she agreed. Now she understood. She understood what her mother meant about what she said.
But, It was little too late.
