ALYSSIA'S POV:

~Dream~

Me and my mom were playing with my Nikki and Taylor. We were throwing a Big red ball in the backyard.

"Mommy catch" I said weakly throwing the ball to her.

With a laugh she picks up the ball. "I got it"

Taylor then playfully grabs the ball and runs off with it. "It's mine now" he said with a laugh,

I laugh loudly. "Tay, give it back" I yelled as I chase after him. "Nikki get him!"

Nikki Intersects Taylor and tackles him throwing dim to the ground

I laugh and notice a car pull up. "Whose that?" I asked curiously.

They all look at the car and mom's face hardens.

"Nikki, Taylor" she said "Take Alyssia inside"

Taylor gets up and walks over to her side. "Why?" he asks "Who are they?"

"Just go inside"

He swallows and picks me up. "You wanna go play some Life?"

I nod. "But what about mommy?"

"She'll come inside after she's done talking to her friends"

I remain scilent as he carries me inside wit Nikki. He sets me down and I go over to the window and watch as mom talked to the strangers. they looked mad and they were yelling at her angrily.

"Why are they mad?" I asked

Nikki looks at Taylor nervously. "They probably just think mom never hangs out with them anymore"

I look back out the window and see one of the men pull something out of his jacket and points it at mommy. My eyes widen as he suddenly pulls the trigger. "Mommy!!!"

~end of dream~

I wake up with a yelp as I gasped in shock. My face was wet and my hair was plastered to it with cold sweat.

I grab my phone off my nightstand and look as the time. 5:59....... Fuck I thought to myself. I then rolled myself out of bed and went to take a shower.

~Skip shower~

I walked into my room and and put on fresh panties and a bra. Then I pulled on a cute batman lowcut top and a pair of skinny jeans. Then I grabbed my bag and I slipped out my bedroom.

I quickly and carefully made my way down the hallway and down the stairs as I try desperately try not to wake dad or Taylor.... Dad would lash out the second he took one look at me. He would always blame me for mom's death, so he beats me for it.

I make it down the stairs and I grab my keys off of the table by the door.

"Alyssia?" said a voice making me jump.

I slowly turn around and see Dad standing there with a beer bottle in his hand and a drunken face...... Just great.

"Where do you think your going?" he asks as he shakingly walks over to me.

"I-I was leaving for school" I stuttered nervously as I backed away towards the door.

He looks at me for a minuet then suddenly smacks me across the face sending me into the table and onto the floor. "Why would a bitch like you care about school?"

I open my mouth to speak but end up screaming as he throws his beer bottle at me, hitting me in the leg. I hear a door open from upstairs and look up through blurred eyes as tears began to form and see Taylor come into view with ragged hair and a bewildered look on his face. He sees me and dad and immediately bolts down the stairs, skipping some on the way down. He puts himself in between me and dad and stares at him angrily.

"Leash" he said "Go and get straight to school"

Dad laughs. "Your not going anywhere till I'm done with you"

"Leash" said Tayor not taking his eyes off of dad. "Go"

Without a moment of hesitation I gathered my fallen items and hurry out the door with the sound of dad yelling following me. I get in the car and insert my keys and rush to school tear streaming down my face.

I get to the parking lot and my phone buzzes.

Sis: Hey where r u?

Me: In the parking lot..... would have gotten here sooner but dad caught me as i was leaving

Sis: OMG! R U OK?

Me: ya just a beer bottle to the leg...... would have been worse if Tay wasnt there

Sis: oh hey i see u so well talk in a bit

Me: kk

I put my Phone away and look up. I look up and see Nikki waving at me I wave back when I notice a group of guys near the entrance of the school that were practically glowing with white light, and for some reason they were staring at me.

Two had curly hair, one with tattoos and one without, one guy had blonde, another had a buzz cut, but the fifth one caught my attention the most. He had black hair that stuck up with gel and his jaw was perfect in every way.

God he's beautiful

He looked at me and we made direct eye contactcausing me to quickly look away a my cheeks began to burn. Wincing a bit at the pain in my leg I quickly gather my things and got out of the car, locking it behind me.

I walked over to where Nikki was standing and saw her staring at me with that 'I saw that' look.

"What?" I asked looking at her

"I saw you checking those guys out" she replied

I laugh. "I have no idea what your talking about"

"Ya right" she said. "you were totally gaping over the one with the black hair"

I rolled my eyes at her as we entered the school.

"What?" she said "I can't blame you for staring"

"I'll see you later Nik" I said without another comment

Nikki grab my arm and whispers to me. "You can have the black haired one" she said "The buzzcut one is mine." Then she turns around and heads off to class.

I laugh slightly before turning the opposite direction in where my locker and my first class is.

I get to my locker and begin taking out the things i need for my first 3 periods when I feel some one standing behind me. I look in my mirror on my locker door and see 3 guys staring at me with strange looks on their faces. I quickly grab the rest of my stuff and was about to walk away when the guys surround me.

"Hey babe" said one with dark hair. "where you off to in such a hurry?"

I look at the ground nervously. "Wherever I want" I replied as I try slipping past them.

One of the other guys step in my way making my step back.

"oh what's wrong?"

I tighten my arms around my things as tears start to form in my eyes.

"Leave her alone David" said a voice.

We all look and see the guy with black hair walking towards us.

"Why should I do that, Malik?" said the boy with dark hair, who I now know as David.

"Because I said so that's why"

The 3 guys get away from me and step towards him. I thought they were going to start fighting then and there till the bell ring making me jump.

"Saved by the bell" said David turning around. "This isn't over" then he walks away he glances over his shoulder and looks at me. "I'll be seeing you later." Then he turned around and walked away.

I swallowed down a lump of fear that formed in throat as I stared after him.

"You okay?" asked Malik.

"Y-yeah" I replied quietly as I slide past him and began walking to class.

"Hey wait" he said. I tun and look at him. "What's you name?"

"A-alyssia" I replied

"I'm Zayn" he said. "What class do you have next?"

"Math" i replied

"great same as me" he said "I'll walk with you"

I nod without saying anything and begin walking to class. I wince slightly and i grab my leg in pain.

Zayn looks at me with concern. "Are you sure your okay?"

I just nod and we walk the rest of the way in scilence.

ZAYN'S POV:

There was something about Alyssia that made me really curious.

She was extremely beautiful, but she was limping for some reason.

I asked her if she's okay but she insisted that she was fine. and I didn't push the question any further and we walked to class.

Once we get there we went straight to our seats. Mine sadly was next to Chloe Sparks, A blonde that constantly bugs me in every class she has with me. She just doesn't understand that I am not interested in her.

"Hi Zayn" said Chloe as I sat down at my seat.

"Hey" I replied

she leans over to me with a seducive smile.

"Do you like my new shirt?"

"ya" i said looking away and at Alyssia who was scribbling down notes.

Chloe opens her mouth to say something but is interrupted bell,

"Cya later" I said as I get up and follow Alyssia out the door.

I eventually catch up to her as she was making her way to her next class. "Hey can I ask you something?" I asked.

She looks at me and nods.

"Do you know if we have any other classes together?"

She tightens her grip on her books as she swallows a bit. "We have all our classes together" she replied. "I sit next to you in most of them"

Suddenly feeling bad for asking I rub the back of my neck.


"Oh ya" i said "sorry I asked"

"It's okay" she said. "I'm used to it"

We continue making our way through the halls when I look over at her.

"Do you want to hang out with me and some of my mates at lunch?"

She looks at me. "Me?"

I chuckled. "Who else would I be asking?"

She looks down as her cheeks turn a light shade of pink.

She's actually really fricking cute

"Can I bring some people along with me?" she asks quietly

I nod "If that will make things less akward for you"

She smiles sweetly. "Then ya, I'd love to hang out with you and your friends"

"Great" I said "I'll let the guys know." I pull out my phone and select all the guys and began texting to them.

Z: hey you guys free at lunch

H: ya why?

Z: I invited some people to come hang out with us

Li: are they cute?

Z: The one i met today is

N: louis and I are ok with it.

H: same here

Li: ditto

Z: ok see ya mates later

I put my phone away and look at Alyssia.

"They're fine with it" I said

"Mine too" she said.

I look down the hall. "We'd better hurry if we don't wanna be late for class"

She nods and we walk down the hall to our class.
