Through the Dark

Autumn POV
God these boys are better looking in real life then pictures. We pull up at the house I get out and they follow.
"What are you doing isn't this your van?" Luke asks me.
"No I still have rusty gates this van is my bosses Heath he is gonna drop around later." I say chucking the keys to Harry who catches them effortlessly.
"Kay we'll give him the keys." Cal says I give them all one last hug
"Kay bye guys have fun." I say walking over to my crappy car I start the engine and take off.

I get out of the car and walk into the empty shop front I hear the voices from the stairs float up.
"Yes of course anyway he is the biggest dog ever." Liz says angrily talking about the date she went on last night.
"Wow sounds like a dumb ass." Jessi agrees I walk down the stairs to the shop.
"Honey I'm home." I say stepping into the basement where Jessi and Liz sit and do stock take.
"Hey boys get home OK?" Jessi asks standing up and smoothing out her outfit.
"Yup, Ash looks quite cute." I say making fun of her secret crush on Ash.
"Oh shut up Autumn, guys I gotta go how do I look?" Liz asks I look over her outfit.
"Girly, why?" Jessi asks cocking her eyebrow up.
"Cuz silly I have a date." Liz says smiling.
"What about douche from last night?" I ask confused by her fickle heart.
"Already forgotten." She shrugs I nod.
"I'm working counter." I say following Liz up.
"BYE." Liz calls walking off.
"BYE." I call back as I sit down.

I hear the bell to shop door ring I've had a blessed silence for about 30 minutes.
"Hello I'm Stephanie I saw the help wanted sign on the window." A girl says I look over her outfit shes messy but what attracts my attention is the ghost standing behind her yelling.
"HELP MY BABY PLEASE HELP HER." I gulp and nod.
"Yes we are how old are you Stephanie?" I ask.
"17." She answers taking her glasses off I see faint bruises on her face.
"Ah yes and your current living conditions?" I ask.
The ghost screams.
"HOMELESS NO HOME HELP HER."
"I have a stable home." Stephanie lies looking at her shoes.
"Don't lie kid." I say as she looks up and sighs in defeat.
"Homeless." She huffs.
"What trouble are you in?" I ask her taking her hand lightly.
"Um, none." She lies again.
As the ghost screams.
"SHE'S LYING HELP HER."
"Stephanie let me tell you something you have probably been feeling cold chills and weird sensations." I state she nod.
"Yes well this is going to sound weirded but that's a ghost I can see them and this one following you is screaming for me to help you." I say waiting for her to run out but she just cries soft whimpers.
"Is the ghost blond has brown eyes?" She asks her voice breaking.
"Yes she does." I say encouragingly nodding.
"She's my mum." She cries harder I hold this girl gently rocking her back an fourth like a small child.
"Stephanie I'm going to make you a promise you don't have to tell what trouble your in now but you can live with me I'll protect you." I say she nods still crying.
"Thank you." Her mothers says I close me eyes I will make sure this girl is okay no matter what.
