Suicidal Fate - ON HOLD

"Hey" Kassi and Harry said at the same time.

He chuckled and offered his hand to shake with a small smile on his face. "I'm Harry"

"Kassi" She took his hand and shook it firmly, returning his smile with a small one.
They stood there in an awkward silence, due to the fact they just met at the top of the cliff they were both about to jump off.

She felt she needed to talk but didn't know what to say, she was still curious as to why a boy like him would want to end his life.

Harry only wanted to know why she was up here, trying to kill herself. He knew he couldn't just ask her the second they met so he sat down with his legs dangling off the edge and patted the ground next to him, inviting her to sit.

Kassi took Harry's invitation and sat next to him, swinging her legs off the edge.
Once they were starring out at where the grey ocean and the stormy sky meet at the horizon, the silence wasn't awkward. It was comforting.

Harry and Kassi had been sitting in silence for around 20 minutes. Neither had spoken since their unexpected meeting. Both have been thinking the exact same thing for the whole time: Why do they went to end their life? Their curiosity was building by the minute and it became too much for Kassi to handle.

"Can I ask you a question Harry?" She asked him, not taking her eyes off the horizon.

"Sure" He glanced at her then moved his gaze back to the ocean.

"What were you doing up here?" Kassi was now looking at Harry, waiting to see his reaction to the question.

"I think we both know what we were going to do" Harry replied sadly, slowly turning his head to face Kassi.

"Yes, but why?" She enquired. Now she felt like she shouldn't have asked. She had only just met the boy and now she's asking him why he almost killed himself? A little personal for their first actual conversation.

"Um..." Harry doesn't know what to say. He can't talk about why he was here but curiosity was eating at him, he knew that if he didn't give her his reason, Kassi would never give him hers.

"Never mind, just forget I said anything" Kassi said quickly, after seeing the confliction on Harry's face. "You clearly don't want to tell me and that's ok" She was disappointed but she'll live. Well, maybe.

"No I um, I want to tell you, I just… Can't"
