(Listen to: Say Something (I'm giving up on you) while reading this chapter. It sets the mood lol)
~ Samantha's POV ~
He slowly wrapped his arms around my waist, bringing me close to him. I cried into his neck as he rubbed soft circles onto my back.
"I"m sorry, Sammy...So so sorry." His voice was pained, and slightly weathered and he apologized to me. It's weird to think but he's just as broken as I am. We were both torn apart the day I made him leave.
"I don't hate you." I cried harder and He hugged me tighter to his body.
"You should..." He trailed of and I sniffled.
"I love you so much, though." I whispered and he pulled away from our embrace.
"How? How could you possibly love me?" His raspy voice was strained as he spoke to me.
"At this point...how can I not? Harry, what you did hurt me...but I'm just miserable without you." He wrapped his large hands around my smaller ones.
"Samantha I don't deserve you...but I'm too selfish to let you go." I laughed through my tears and he kissed the dimple on my cheek that appeared whenever I did.
"I'm sorry about what Brianna said...she can be a-uhh...bitch face." He confessed and I let out another laugh.
"Yeah, I guess she can." He chuckled and I looked up to meet his those stunning eyes of his.
"Harry, is everybody saying those things about me at school?" I whispered and he tensed.
"Uhh...yeah. But I'm trying my best to convince people that it's not true." He was quick to assure.
"Ugh." I rested my forehead on his shoulder and he kissed the top of my head.
"Don't worry. They'll all be proven wrong when we show up on campus as the real couple we are." I smiled at his words and I tugged him into my house.
"Will you stay here?" I asked and he nodded happily before turning and shutting the front door behind us.
~ Harry's POV ~
She walked over and sat on the couch as I observed her. It felt different when I hugged her. She was so much skinnier than I ever remembered.
"Sammy?" I asked and she hummed in response. "Have you lost weight?"
"I don't know...Maybe a little, but it's not a big deal." She shrugged and I sat next to her on the couch.
"Samantha, you don't need to be losing weight...you're skinny as it is." I said and she looked at me.
"I just haven't had much of an appetite i guess." She said and I stood from the couch while grabbing her hands and dragging her into the kitchen.
"Well, that"s going to change." I opened her snack cupboard and pulled out a package of Top Ramen noodles. Her favorite.
"You little shit." She giggled and I laughed as I filled a pot with some water and started to bring it to a boil.
We talked for a little while as we prepared the food we were to share when her dad came through the front door.
"Sam, shouldn't you he at school...and why is he here?" He asked and Sammy just looked around nervously.
"Oh, I went home sick and Harry's here to keep me company." She shrugged and her dad laughed.
"Sure. We'll go with that.I'm just dropping by to pick up my suitcase. I'll see you and Megan in a few days okay?" He kissed the top of her head and she nodded.
"Yeah." she sighed and he disappeared down the hallway.
"He doesn't know about what happened?" she looked at me and scoffed.
"Why would I tell him? He would never let me even look at you again considering what happened last year." I nodded and she transferred her soup into a bowl.
"He's in a really good mood," I observed and she nodded.
"His new girlfriend. That's why he's going to Las Vegas. to be with her alone." She explained and I smiled.
"That's good. How about Megan? How's she?" I questioned while grabbing the fork from her hands and eating some of her noddles myself.
"She misses you..." I chuckled and she let out a small laugh. "That made two of us." She muttered and I kissed her cheek.
How did I get so lucky?
