The Cherry Game

~ Niall's POV ~

As I walked back into my bedroom from the bathroom, Bridget was staring at her phone, and typing frantically.

"Babe?" I asked, and she looked up at me, anger crossing her features.

"Can you explain this to me?" She asked and handed me her phone.

I read over texts between her and Alex...Zayn's girl. Oh no. I studied a few more before setting her phone on the bed, and running a hand through my hair.

"Look, Bridget....I can explain." I said, but she got up from the bed and started pulling on her pants, and shoes.

"No, I'm going to save you the trouble of breaking me. You won! Congratulations! Niall, I can't believe I fell for you! You......fuck." She didn't bother putting her own shirt on, she just walked out of the room, with mine.

"Bridget! No! It wasn't like that this time!" I had no words at all, for the pain I vas feeling in this moment.

"How can I believe you? This whole time, I was falling harder and harder for you! But, it was all a game to you....I loved you, and I gave up my virginity to you, because you wanted to win a bet! You aren't a girl, you have no idea how much this hurts to be dumped by the one you love! We are fragile, and you and your little friends take advantage of that." My heart sunk completely at her words, but she was right we do take advantage of that. Tears fell down her face, and I opened my mouth to say something, but nothin came out.

"Don't say a word, I'm completly done here." She said, her voice cracking towards the end and she walked out of my house.

I'm such a dick!

~ Samantha's POV ~

I sat, curled up in Harry's arms on the couch. We just to Megan to bed, and were watching some movie that was playing on the tv. Someone rung the door bell, and I groaned.

"Be right back." I said, ans stood up from the couch, earning Harry to pout. I walked over and opened up the front door, to see Bridget, crying her eyes out with her makeup smeared all over he cheeks.

"Bridget...what happened?" I asked, pulling her into my arms.

"Niall...." She said, and I sighed. Harry walked into the room, and Bridget tensed, pulling away from me.

"You are sick! Don't you touch her! Do you even have a heart? Because it takes a heartless person to do something this twisted!" She screamed at him, and I looked at Bridget in shock.

"Calm down...what happened with Niall?" I asked, ignoring her outburst at Harry.

"Let Harry tell you! Yeah, he'll fill you in...please tell me you haven't slept with him." Bridget was pleading, and I was confused.

"W-what? No, why does that matter!? Just tell me what happened with Niall." I said more sternly, and she completely turned to face me.

"Niall, slept with me...and then I got a text from Alex saying that Niall, Zayn, Liam, Louis, and Harry are apart of a bet. By the way, Niall won." She directed the last part to Harry, and I watched as he tensed up.

"What the hell are you talking about?" I asked her, and she looked at Harry, who stayed silent.

"You fucker! She deserves to know! Tell her right now or I will." Bridget snapped, and I turned to Harry.

"Harry...what bet?" I asked, and he sighed, his eyes tearing up.

"We've done it every year for four years...but this year, I actually fell for you and-" I cut him off.

"What bet?!" I yelled, and he looked at me, letting the tears trickle down his face.

"We each pick a girl, and make them fall for us. Once they give up their virginity to us...we have to leave them, never contact them again." As he said this my heart shattered. I covered my mouth with my hands to muffle the sobs that erupted.

"No....No you wouldn't do that to me! I-I....no!" My knees hit the floor, and Bridget crouched to my level, bringing me into her arms. I pushed her away, and she sighed.

"I'll go....I'm so sorry." She whispered, and walked out of my house.

"Sammy, let me explain." He said, and sat on the ground next to me, pulling me to his chest. No matter how mad I was at him, his embrace was relaxing, and comforting. I couldn't respond, I was just shocked.

"No." I shook my head and pushed him away to stand up.

"Please....I quit this year because I realized that this game...is stupid! And I actually fell in love with you." I looked at him, and shook my head again.

"How do I know that? You have been lying to me this whole time! I told you all kinds of personal stuff, and you knew about what happened at my last school...you knew what he did to me! You are only doing the same thing." My sobs became more frequent as I cried, he just stood there....stunned.

"I know.....I know that, and I'm so sorry for what I did. My intentions were very wrong...but I really really ended up falling in love with you, I want you to know that before you kick me out." His voice was understanding, but completely devastated.

"Harry, jus answer me this one question." I said, and he nodded. "Why do you do this?" He sighed, and rubbed him palm over his face.

"Me and the boys wanted to be popular, and what better way than having a girl on your arm, and hopes of getting some? We were young, and stupid...I'm sorry." I nodded, and looked at the ground.

"Harry I need to be alone. I'll see you at school." I gave him a fake smile, and he rolled his eyes coming closer to kiss me, but I turned my head so only he gave me a peck to the cheek.

"Okay. I love you." He said before walking out the front door.

"I love you too."
