The Broken Ones
Chapter 2
I woke up to beeping sounds.
Great, I'm back in the hospital.
I looked around and my parents and my both sides of my grandparents were there.
"Oh my god she's awake!" Wen cried out.
They all ran to me and embraced me and I couldn't stand my mom hugging me one bit.
I winced and they all stopped hugging me.
"Are you hurt, my dear?" Dana asked.
"Just a little bit." I held out my arms for proof.
"Please put your arms down. We don't want them to bleed." Dr. Olsen, my family doctor, told me as he walked in.
"Sorry sir." I said sheepishly.
He turned to my parents. "Sorry for the excursion but we need to talk about Ms. Natalie here." He turned to me, "Me and your family members will talk outside."
He ushered them outside, shutting the door firmly closed.
About 20 minutes later, I heard the door open and my family members came in teary eyed but joyfull.
"Y-you have infections. But we can f-fix them through medications." My mom said.
I looked down at my hands.
"You made me do it, Mother." I stared at my them.
"I know. And I will never forgive myself." She started choking up.
"I just want another way.. to redeem myself."
"You won't be forgiven." I looked at her. "You know you never will."
She gasped and ran out the door crying.
"Natalie!" My dad glared at me and ran after her.
I stood up from the bed.
"W-where are you going?" Grandma Dana asked.
"Anywhere but here." I slipped on my shoes fast before anyone could stop me and grabbed my bag on the chair. I ran out of there as fast as I could.

Once I was outside, I called a taxi over and told them to go to Central Park. Once I payed the taxi driver, I tried to find a place where I could be alone when I found the best hiding place. Ever.
There was a large oak tree right next to a pond and there was a little human sized hole in it.
I walked to it and went around to sit in the hole and sure enough, I could fit in it.
I had to squeeze to fit in the hole but once I was inside, there was a lot of space for me to sit and have stuff with me.
Once I sat down, I took out my phone from my jacket and began reading some text messages.

That last one struck me. I got up and left the tree. I took a razor from my hiding spot in my shoe and traced a skull on the tree so no-one could inhabitat it when I was gone.
I left Central Park and tried to go home in the traffic of New York City.
I accidently hit someone in the shoulder and I almost got lost before I finally saw the skyscraper I called home.
I went up to the front desk and they immediately recognized me and gave me my key card.
I headed to the elevator and went up to my floor. Once I was on my floor, I headed to my front door and walked in as quiet as I could.
I walked into the foyer and slipped of my shoes before I headed to the living room where apparently-- Harry was.
He turned to me and looked up with his puppy dog eyes.
"Where were you? I was worried. The doctor at the hospital called..He said you ran off." His eyes were watery.
"I just wanted to walk around. I was tired of the hospital." I murmured.
He kept on staring at me. "I'm going to bed." I said.
"At 5 in the afternoon?"
I walked toward my bedroom without answering him and slammed the door.
