~Peyton’s View~
I woke up to a text from the one and only Harry Styles. It read good morning beautiful(; This boy could make me smile from three simple words. He was coming over around eleven with Niall. Liam, Zayn, and Lou decided to go to a Red Sox game, which I of course was against considering I’m a die heart Yankee fan. Aubrey had been up for about an hour now and was making Nico pancakes. I walked in the kitchen to a big mess. It seems as the two had a food fight, and to be honest I was jealous that I wasn’t a part of it.

I looked at the fridge and realized my parents left me a note.

Got in late last night, didn’t want to wake you. Dad and I will be home late tonight – were going to Sarah’s wedding xoxo and please do some laundry. ~Mom

Typical. This was my mom, I loved her to death and we were so sort close but she was always out and left me to take care of Nico. I love my little brother but honestly, I was going out tonight. Maybe Zayn could babysit? I needed to talk to Harry.

~Aubrey’s view~

I woke up around nine, feeling amazing. Last night had gone perfectly and all I wanted to do was see Niall. I went to go get some water when I heard Nico crying. I walked in his bedroom to see he was sobbing. “Nico what’s wrong?” his eyes were bright red and tears were streaming down his face like a waterfall. “I miss my poppy…” was all he managed to say. I suddenly remembered the date. June 11th.

Of course a year ago today was probably the worst day ever in the McKenna household. Peyton didn’t talk about it much but I could tell she thought about it often. Last June her grandpa had a sudden aneurysm, it was the spring formal at school, we were so excited, and we got our hair and nails done. Everything was going perfect until that one phone call. We immediately rushed to the hospital; he had to have a very risky surgery. Her grandparents were divorced, she was close with her grandma but her grandpa was also a friend to Peyton. Since Peyton’s parents were always working growing up he took care of her and Nico. He taught her how to play hockey. He always believed in her and that even though she was a girl she could play. He never gave up on her and they had that special bond. He was on life support for a week and then they had to take him off of it. It wasn’t a way of life. I know it bothers her that she never got to give him a proper goodbye. But looking from a best friend point of view her grandfather loved her very much.

Nico was different because he was still small. It is amazing that he remembered the date. I grabbed him into a hug and rubbed his back. “It’s okay Nico, remember where he is, remember where he is.” Nico looked at me and tried to show a smile through all those tears “heaven.”

I picked him up and decided to make him breakfast. He threw the flour first and then we realized we made a huge mess. With that Peyton woke up, we ate, cleaned up and got dressed. Now waiting for the boys to arrive.

The minute Peyton opened the door I realized she was drop dead gorgeous. Her outfit made her look wow. That’s all I can say. “Hello Gorgeous” she immediately started blushing after I said it. I pulled her into a big hug and we stayed that way. I kissed her on the forehead. “What shall we do today? I have something special planned for us tonight, but it’s a surprise.” A wide smile appeared on her face. “I’ll teach you how to play hockey” she almost whispered.

Niall and Aubrey decided to just relax and watch finding nemo with Nico. It was weird not being attacked by paparazzi but no one really could find us since the bus broke down. I kind of felt like I did before the x factor, just hanging out with my friends. I loved being in One Direction but having this freedom made me happy. Peyton gave me her dad’s skates; it took me a good hour just to skate in a circle. Damn this is harder than it looks.

It was about 3 o’clock when we stopped playing. I was exhausted. Peyton did a little twirl around me and lost her balance. I caught her. She got back on her feet and I put my hands around her waist. Her arms went around my neck and we kissed. I started kissing her neck and then she said “save it for tonight Styles” and with that she walked inside.

All I kept thinking about was the big date tonight. “I’m going to go back to the hotel and get changed, I’ll pick you up around eight” with that I pecked her quickly on the lips. “How should I dress?” she asked. “Wear a dress, it’s a little formal” I said with a wink.
