~Peyton’s View~ 4 months later~

Today is the day that I am graduating high school, May 24th. This past year has been such a roller coaster and it feels so good to finally be done. College now was the next step, I have decided to go to Yale on my scholar ship but in all honestly I want to go to school in London. My parents pretty much forced me into this decision, but I know they only want what is best for me.

“Peyton McKenna, high honors all four years” I hear my principal call my name. I got up shake his hand and get my diploma. As I walk down the steps I see my father, mother, Nico and of course all of One Direction. I was so relieved that I hadn’t fallen down or tripped on stage in front of everyone. Holding this diploma honestly makes me feel accomplished, it’s the best feeling in the world.

Aubrey was also graduating; she worked so hard after the baby was born to catch up on all of her work. KJ was a handful but he was the best thing that could have happened to her. There was a change in Aubrey she was more mature, Niall and her had the best relationship, he was the perfect father and KJ had the best and most loving parents.

Harry and I have had our ups and downs, he was the best boyfriend but we had fights, after KJ was born our relationship hit rock bottom. He kept questioning the scar that I had on my body, it honestly was nothing big, my father sometimes just used to get angry when I would do something wrong with hockey and hit me, or when he was drunk but it really never bothered me, as long as he never hit Nico I just let it go. I still have never told Harry this; I was pretty surprised that he was here today. We didn’t talk for a few weeks after the fight but he eventually came back around, we never broke up because we truly do love each other.

Aubrey and I decided to have a joined graduation party; we were having it at this fancy restaurant. I wore a beautiful blue dress, with white heels and the necklace that Harry gave me for our anniversary a couple months back. Aubrey wore a really cute dress as well, after KJ was born she went to the gym every day, she lost all the baby fat and looked really good.

I felt someone’s arms around my waist, I turned around and there he was my boyfriend Harry Styles.

“Well don’t you look just beautiful, congrats love.” He said kissing my cheek, he looked absolutely stunning today, his dimples were showing, he wore a blue blazer, he could tell that I was looking at him because he said.

“Like what you see?”

I nudged him in the stomach, “I always like what I see.” I said smiling, he kissed me and we went to go take our seats.

~Harry’s View~

“I always like what I see” Peyton said and I kissed her. Every time I kissed her I felt the sparks, well really bombs go off. I kept eyeing her father, for some reason I knew the scars on Peyton weren’t “nothing.” It bothered me that she wouldn’t tell me the truth, I just wanted to be with her always and protect her. That’s why the next thing I was going to do made me feel like I could always protect her and she would never be hurt again.

“Excuse me everyone” I got up and was going to make a little speech.

Everyone turned their attention towards me, KJ started to cry but Niall started to feed him so he became quiet. He was already like his father, always hungry.

“I would like to congratulate Aubrey and Peyton on this very important day in their lives. I am so proud that Peyton is going to Yale, as you all know I love her very very much.” I looked down at Peyton and she was blushing but smiling ear to ear. “Finishing up this speech I would like to ask you a question Peyton.” I got down on one knee and pulled out a box, I opened it and inside there was a ring. Peyton looked shocked but happy.

“Peyton will marry me? I love you so much baby.”

“YES, YES, YES! I love you too!” She answered; she started jumping up and down and flew into my arms.

“I will always protect you Peyton you don’t have to keep acting so strong, I am here for you forever and always.” I whispered in her ear. We were hugging for a few seconds when her father screamed.

“NO! What are you insane! Peyton is too young to get married! I DON’T LIKE YOU HARRY AND I NEVER DID.” Mr. McKenna screamed at Peyton and me. He slapped her in the face, in front of everyone, I was shocked. I now knew for a fact where those scars came from. I punched him in the face, I didn’t even know what I was doing it was an instant reaction. Peyton had tears streaming down her face and ran out of the restaurant. Everyone was looking at me, I ran after Peyton, feeling awful for our perfect day being ruined.
