Love, Money, Party

"No, call him and tell him I won't do it!" I screamed, stomping my right foot. Amara had come back with two loafs of bread and a few bags of chips, she had other things but I refused to listen to Lady Bell name them off as I grabbed Amara and took her to the library. You can guess what has happened since.
"Louis I can't just call Simon because you're complaining," she spoke smoothly, shrugging her shoulders partially at me for at least the third time in this conversation. I groaned, growing impatient, well more than I was that is, with her.
I took two steps to her, which made her back up a step. "Then give me my damned phone back and I'll call him myself!" My voice was thick, controlling almost. I was getting even more pissed off throughout each second.
Amara shook her head at me, "I can't, Louis, the rules. You have to get a job. Earn your own money. And even though I think it'd be quite ridiculous, when you have enough you'll have to buy a new phone." She shrugged again.
"This is compete shit! I can't contact my best friends, I don't have any of my shit, I have a damned babysitter and a hag living with me! What else is there?" I tugged at my hair and started pacing up and down the old-styled carpentry.
I heard Amara's footsteps as she stepped toward me, stepping in front of me before I could move forward again. This time though, she was holding out my phone. "Our secret, okay? I don't want to get in trouble. And, about the job thing, I got you a starter job at Starbucks. It starts in three days. I'll by picking you up and dropping you off, considering I have most of my shifts with you." She smiled slightly. "I'm not that bad Louis, and neither is this."
Yeah, right. As if I'm going to believe that. I rolled my eyes, but took my phone from her hand, muttering a small 'Thank you and whatever' her way. She nodded. "Oh, and Niall will be calling the house phone here. He also doesn't know you have your phone. I wouldn't let anyone know, okay? Not even Lady Bell."
I nodded this time, shoving my phone into my back pocket. "I get it. Phone's a secret."
She smiled at me again and this time I kind of liked it. Her smile was bright and it seemed as if it was always genuine. It's been a long time since someone who didn't seem like a fan sent a smile my way like this.
I didn't let myself get too mesmerized though, because I looked around the room before letting my eyes fall back to her. "This sucks, you know. You might be used to shit like this, but I'm not."
"Oh, no, I don't live near here." She shook her head quickly.
I raised an eyebrow at her, "Where do you live, then?"
"Just outside of London, it's just, I like to visit Lady Bell, so I got a job closer to here so I could be nearer to her, you know?" She smiled again, seeming to be thinking about something.
I shrugged but noted in my head that I'd have to be extra careful around her because her happiness radiated off of her smoothly and I didn't necessarily like it much. "Actually, I don't know."
Amara sighed. "I'm not even going to try with you if that's how you're going to act. You know, I didn't have to take this "gig" as your "babysitter"." She turned her back on me and left the room, soon enough I heard the front door slam. So not only had I pissed her off, but I also made her leave.
Oh well.
I shrugged and moved over to the large red recliner, sitting down into it and coughing as a bunch of dust flew up and also made me sneeze. I shook my head for a few moments and looked down at my phone, typing in the lock code and flipping through a few pages of apps. Then I noticed I didn't even have cell reception.
You've got to be kidding me, I thought, hitting my head on the back of the recliner.
I already want these two months and two weeks to be over with, but sadly, it's only the first day.
