Recap:

Charlotte's mother was lying about Dylan and Charlotte getting married. She was just trying to scare Harry off and she knew it would annoy Charlotte. Dylan tried to explain to Harry that Charlotte and him were not getting married. Then he tried to explain why his mom would say they were so he said she was joking- April Fools. Charlotte's mother wasnt joking, she was trying to get Harry to believe her lie.She realized she couldnt just continue lying to Harry right after Dylan's explanation. Charlotte was disgusted by her mothers actions (who wouldnt be?) plus she was confused on why her mother would do something so dramatic and irrational just to scare Harry off.

Basically...
Savanna lied
Dylan explained that she was joking because he obviously couldnt say his mother is a liar in public
Savanna gave up on her lie
Charlotte ran to the barn, upset, and Harry comforte her...

By the way, you may nothave realised but I've given some very small hints throughout the chapters that Dylan and Charlotte aren't blood related siblings.

But even though they arent, they still will NOT be getting married
