*Harry’s P.O.V*
Samii looks like an angel when she sleeps with her hair fanned out around her on the pillow and her mouth slightly open. I should feel guilty for sleeping with my best friend’s wife but I can’t no matter how hard I want to. I move a bit of hair that has escaped from her ponytail out of her face.

A loud knock at the door causes us both to jump, Samii sitting bolt upright in bed. Samii scrambles out of bed trying to find her underwear while I pull on my jeans.

‘Are you expecting anyone Harry?’ Samii says buttoning her top off.

I can help but to stop and stare at how hot she looks in just her denim top and panties. Until panic shoots through as I realise who it is at the door. Another loud bang rings through the flat again.

‘It’s Liam. We were supposed to meet for training.’ I mumble staring at Samii who has now got her jeans on.

I see panic slowly rising in her eyes and her eyes start to water. Our mistake has finally hit her.

‘Just stay here ok, I will get rid of him.’ I say walking to her and pulling her into me.

Samii pulls away and puts her head in her hands. ‘My coat, shoes and bag are by the door Harry.’

I nod and pull my t shirt on before leaving the room and quickly jogging down the hall. I scoop up Samii’s stuff and throw it into the cupboard with all my shoes. I straighten my hair out in the mirror and finally open the door to Liam who is in is training gear.

‘Jesus christ mate you got a bird back there or something.’ Liam laughs and I force out a laugh.

‘No I was just having a shower, didn’t hear the door.’ Liam walks past me into the flat.

‘Ready to go? I’m in the mood to kick your arse today.’ Liam says flatly.

‘What’s up mate?’ I ask but I’m pretty sure I know the answer to his complaint.

‘Urrgghh don’t worry just Samii seems very distance. Wasn’t even there this morning when I woke up.’ Liam rubs his forehead.

I look down not being able to bear looking into his eyes. ‘I’ll just get my bag and we can go.’

I walk back down the hall and into my bedroom. Samii isn’t in the room but I guess she is in the bathroom as the door is closed. I walk over to it and knock gently. There’s no answer for a few moments but the door slowly opens. Samii has her head down and is refusing to look at me. I gently take her cheek into my left hand and rest my forehead on top of her head. She doesn’t pull away like last time.

‘I’m sorry Bird.’ I mumble into her hair before grabbing my bag and walking out of the room.

*Samii’s P.O.V*
I don’t know where I’m going but I keep walking with the rain soaking me. The guilt finally overcomes me and I collapse onto a park bench, tears streaming down my face.

How could I have done this to Liam after only 3 weeks of marriage? It has taken me this long to realise how spoilt I am. I thought I could have them both when they are both better without me. The people walking past takes no notice of me as they are desperate to get out of the rain. I feel so small and alone.

‘Samii?’ I instantly recognise the voice but I’m unsure as I haven’t heard it in a long time.

I look up into the eyes of the first man who broke my heart. Tom looks like the last few years have been good to him and here I am snivelling on a bench in the middle of a park. A small part of me feels ashamed so I try and calm down. Tom sits down next to me.

‘How’s it going?’ Tom asks but I don’t feel like talking about it so I stay silent.

After a short pause Tom clears his throat. ‘Wanna go and get drunk?’

I laugh and it actually sounds like a good idea with the mood I’m in.

‘That sounds perfect.’ I smile standing up and Tom follows me down the path.
