Zayn POV~~

I ran around the house looking for my keys as tears ran down my face. My vision was becoming blurry from the salt water flowing from my eyes.

"Ow Shit!" I cursed to myself as my knee slammed into the coffee table.

"Niall have you found them yet?" I screamed; we need to find those keys.

"N-not y-yet babe," I heard Niall stutter, his voice cracking at the end. I knew I had a right to be paranoid but why did it actually have to happen like this.

I kept searching as my mind flew back to the phone call I received this morning, the heart wrenching voice-mail that I had found when I came home from the grocery store.

I fumbled with the bags as I tried to fish the house keys out. I cursed at myself when I dropped them in a bush. I searched and searched but I couldn't find it,oh wait, we have a spare under the mat. Yeah I know not very safe, but hey it's really convinent. I grabbed they spare key and unlocked the door as I heard the phone ringing. I locked the door back. I huffed trying to get all of the food into the kitchen when the phone went to voice-mail. I sat the bags down and clicked the little button to listen to the new message.

"Hello Mr. and Mr. Malik, this call is regarding your daughters' attendance. We in the office needed you to confirm your girls' absence from school today for our records. We hope that the girls get better because it is to our attention that they have both become ill. Please connect back with the main office as soon as possible so we can get this mess settled up. Thank you for your time and hopefully we will see Sophia and Naya tomorrow; bye bye."

My jaw dropped open and my hand flew up to my mouth in a gasp. My heartbeat is starting to speed up. Oh God I can't breathe, this can't be right. I dropped the girls off at daycare myself, I walked inside with them in my arms, what do they mean they weren't there?!
This can't be right, it just can't. Perrie, one of my best friends works at the daycare maybe she just pulled a prank on me and the girls are at daycare playing with blocks and laughing at the little boy who eats glue...ya that's what happened...but...just to make sure...

I picked up my cell phone and pressed Perrie's number and listened to the dial tone go on and on. 'No no no Perrie this isn't funny anymore Pick up your phone,' I thought out loud. I was sent to voice-mail. DAMN!
About 2 minutes later in my panic attack, I got a text from none other than Perrie.

XX Hey Z, sorry just got out of the shower, did ya need somethin' XX

Wait what?! There aren't any showers at the day care, how is she taking a shower??

XX Hey Pez, do you not have work today? XX

I paced back and forth waiting for her reply... then it came.

XX Nope I got the food poisoning and this is the longest I’ve gone without puking, why? XX

Oh my God! "No no no no no no..." I whispered to no one as my shaking hands tugged on my, now messy, quaff. I picked up my phone once again and called Niall. He picked up on the 3rd ring.

"Hey ba-" I cut him off.

"Niall, come home right now, I think something happened to Sophia and Naya!" The line went quiet. I checked to see if he had hung up but nope he was still there.

"O-o-ok I’ll be right t-there." He said slowly and hung up the phone.

As Niall and I searched for the keys. Your probably asking, "Why don't you use Niall's car," Well his key are gone now too. I don't know what is going on here but this doesn't fell right...not at all...

"Z-Z-ZAYN..." I heard Niall say from our bedroom, "c-come here, n-now!" I ran to the room and saw it...

There were words on the wall that weren't there 10 minutes ago. Someone was in our house... but that isn't the problem right now the problem is who wrote this message, this awful message that made my skin crawl, my hands get clammy, and my face go pale.

"Zayn, I picked the girls up from daycare for you, they didn't look too well. They screamed for you but you weren't there. I really wish they would just shut up...Love - T"

My heart shattered.

"Za-"

"Niall don't say it." I interrupted.

"Zayn-" I gave him a death glare, "I-I think the g-girls have been....s-s-tolen..."
A tear dripped down his cheek. I ran up to him and embraced him like he was the last thing I had to hold onto...

"I know.... I know..."

But reality,

I really don't...

WOOP WOOP CHAPTER 3!!

sorry about taking so long to post this, but I have been really busy getting ready for finals. I have 2 more tests tomorrow and them i'm on break!!! yay! How are finals going for all of you guys? I hope really well!! Comment below telling me your least favorite subject and the best comment will be featured in my next chapter!
