Louis' POV-
"So you're not together anymore?" Liam asked.

I shrugged, "I guess not."

"You don't seem too sad about that.." Zayn mumbled.

"She's not mine anymore, you can stop pretending you care about my feelings towards our relationship. Why don't you go and comfort the person you actually care about?" I spat.

He stood up, "Fine. I will. But don't act like I don't care about you Lou, cause I do. You just can't expect me to be on your side when you did a pretty good job pushing her away."

He slammed the door and the other three boys looked at me. I wasn't sad I guess, I had had time to prepare myself. I knew it was coming. I think the only thing that really hit me was her giving me back the ring. She wasn't mine anymore. She was just Sophie again. How did this happen? When did everything go to shit?

"You alright mate?" Harry asked, putting his arm around my shoulder and resting his head on me.

"Yeah Haz. I'm alright.. It's just a lot."

"I'm sorry to be a dick, but we have a meeting with Simon in an hour. You up for it?" Liam asked.

"Yeah of course. I'll be fine."



We walked into Simons make shift office and sat around the large executive table. Zayn was kept as far away from me as possible.. probably for the best. How can you comfort the girl that just broke off her engagement with one of your best mates? Why would he think that's okay?

"Boys!" Simon said, sitting at the head of the table.

"Simon!" We replied, mocking his excitement.

"What's new? How is everyone?"

They all looked to me.

"Fine! I'll go first. Soph and I broke up," I said numbly.

"I'm sorry. But this could be good for you guys. For the first time EVER, all of One Direction is single. This changes everything. We can do interviews about what you want in a girl, set you up on some great dates; you're in the capital of hot women.. Enjoy it!"

I scoffed, "You're kidding right? I just broke off my engagement with my girlfriend of over a year and-"

Zayn cut me off, "Actually mate, she broke it off with YOU."

"SEMANTICS. Point is, I don't want to date right now."

Simon sighed, rubbing his temples, "You're all trying to kill me. Okay since I now see the clear tension between you two that the fans have been noticing, you'll be spending the next couple of weeks together. Louis and Zayn do not have to go on dates because of the current relationship situations they're in. Niall, Harry, Liam, we will set you up with girls."

"Wait! I don't wanna date either!" Niall said, clearly thinking about Serena.

"Yeah.. I'm with Niall." Harry added.

"Brielle would cut your dick off," I said, snorting.

He nodded, "I'm aware! She's terrifying!"

"Who is Brielle?!" Simon asked.

"Harry's bird. Well not really. She's a girl he likes who doesn't like him."

"There's a girl that doesn't like Harry Styles?" Simon asked in disbelief.

"I think that's why he likes her," Liam said, grinning.

"No way! She likes me she's just... indifferent. Whatever," He scoffed, giving up.

"Well I had an idea a couple of weeks ago that I wanted to go over with you guys. It's for charity." Simon said.

"Well were in!" Liam said, all of us nodding.

"We auction off dates with you five. No one is in a relationship. Fans can bid on you and take you out on a date." He grinned.

"So we'll be like prostitutes?" I asked.

"No, you don't have sex with them."

"Can we have sex with them?" I asked, grinning and earning giggles from the other four.

"I don't care as long as you do it and they sign a confidentiality waiver. Oh, and they're 18."

"Cool! Set it up!" Zayn said.

"Are you alright babe?" Nathan asked, frowning through the camera.

I sighed, "Yes I'm okay. I just don't want anyone to think this had to do with them."

He laughed, "So, me. I get it. I shouldn't have interfered."

"It's fine. So how are you?"

"I'm alright. Therapy's going well. I'm feeling a little better everyday. Won't be singing for a while. But I'm alright."

Nathan had miraculously healed his vocal cords, he was still croaking but he sounded more and more like himself everyday. He was going to AA meetings, per my request. Going to therapy to take care of his depression issues. He seemed happier. More Nathan.

"I'm proud of you babes. You and Max okay?"

He sighed, "Yeah I guess so. He seems like he isn't even mad and it's driving me crazy. I need him to be mad at me. Like I almost killed him! How can he not be mad?!"

I smiled sympathetically, "You know Max.. He can't hold a grudge. He loves you so much Nathan. You're the little brother he always wanted. You're family. People make mistakes. He wants you to forgive yourself because he's already forgiven you."

"I don't deserve it!" He yelled, tears falling down his face.

"Nathan, listen to me. You deserve all of the love in the world. So you made a mistake? You're one of the most amazing people I've ever met. You need to move on from this babe. You need to get back to being yourself."

"Soph.. I have to go. I'm sorry. I love you, okay?"

"Okay Nathan. I love you too. So so so much. Call me if you need me to come home, I can come home."

He rolled his eyes, "Alright. Bye."
