A few days had passed, it felt like Liam and I had never lost touch. He was my best friend again. He had introduced me to Louis the moment I told him I may have a teeny crush. Louis was cuter than ever as I had gotten to know him but we hadn’t had the chemistry that I believed we had. Liam invited us both over to his house that afternoon.

“Liam, stop killing me!” I yelled at him as he made another head shot as I regenerated. I sucked at C.O.D. and he took advantage of it. Louis was dying of laughter as I began to push Liam with my elbow to try to get away in the game. Louis killed Liam to give me a chance.

“Louis!” Liam got up and sat on him. Louis started screaming, June, Liam’s sister walked in to see the sight. She didn’t even react.

“Can I use your-- Minnie?” June asked. She ran over to me to give me a hug. June was Alex’s age. June was the sweetest girl you’d ever met. We spent the rest of the afternoon catching up. She was a tad boy crazy as I soon learned. She loved country music. We had been really good friends when we were younger but it was harder to click with her now because we were so different. She was still the sweet little girl from when we were younger but she was much more of a tomboy and way more concerned with her friends than seeing me.

Liam parents got home and it seemed like everything was back to the way it was when we were kids. Everyone was talking and laughing. They were so glad to see me and asked me how my parents were. Louis was like an honorary member of their family. He had moved across the street from them and Liam and him had been best friends ever since. I had never been so happy in my life and I barley even know these boys. I knew in my heart that I never wanted to lose either of them. Then ran in Barney. Barney was a big goofy dog. He was a brown Lab and he clearly loved the family to no end. He jumped around from person to person clearly over whelmed.

I had to call my dad come pick me so he could see them again after such a long time. We didn’t stay long cause he needed to pick Alex up from rugby. I sat in the car smiling to myself. I’d finally made real friends. Friends I knew cared even if I’d only just rekindled my relationship with Liam and just met Louis. I knew they were good guys and that they’d always be there for me.

The next day was the best since I started here by far. Liam and Louis were waiting for me on the surfboard benches and they walked me to class even though I insisted they didn’t have to. They really were just so overly amazing.

“Promise I’ll see you later, but Minnie you should really eat lunch with us today,” Liam hugged me so tight I could barley breathe, he lifted me off the ground. Louis’ hug didn’t live up to Liam but it was still amazing.

“I’ll walk with you to Geo after class?” I nodded my head in response to Louis’ question. I head into the classroom and sat in my regular seat. Bio went by slow as ever. I had a few friends in this class but our teacher was very pregnant and I wasn’t it the mood to be her object of her projected aggression. When class finally dragged to an end, Louis was waiting patiently across the hail. He smiled when he saw me and stuck his arm out.

“Shall we?” I laughed and took his arm. Off to Geometry.
