It's like high school all over again..
Chapter One
I’ve has gone to a bunch of different schools, at least 5, and this time I’ve begged and pleaded to my parents to promise that I can go to one high school for all four years. My wish has been generously granted. We’ve never moved from our home but the boundaries for schools where I live kept changing or the school I went to was bad so I got put into a private school but I am finally attending a really beautiful A+ school. The population is over 5,000 students which is giant for just a small town high school but other parents actually try to get there kids to come here and why wouldn’t they its perfect.
I’m the oldest of 3. My parents met through their respective jobs and have been happily in love ever since. All of us were accidents but happy accidents. My brother, Alex , and I are 2 years apart and my sister, Janie, was born 9 years after that. We’re a happy little family of five with a wiener dog, Kelly, living in a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale in the Sunshine State.
My first few days of high school went over pretty smoothly, I had a few friends from all the schools that I had gone to and all the sports I played around town. Classes were going great. I had been taking T.V. Production, Geometry, Biology and English. My favirote was by far my T.V. class the teacher was great and funny and loud and every one was decently nice. It was also the class we had our Lunch period after so I was usually pretty satisfied and not grumpy.
I had kind of started to develop a crush on this kid in my Geometry class, Louis. He was just so sweet and understanding and I had barley even begun to get to know him. I had never been anywhere long enough to have a relationship or even crush on anybody. I thought people were cute but I never got close enough to any one to develop feelings. I instantly had clicked with him. I just needed a way to get closer. I noticed him sitting with some other guys who were in my T.V. class one with ridiculously curly hair and tattoo and the other looked oddly familiar. I waited all day to get to T.V. I sat next to one of the guys I had seen at the table.
“Hey, you know Louis right?” I mentioned as I sat next to him.
He looked up at me with simmering green eyes as I looked down at his doodles. He had scribbled someone’s name with a bunch of hearts and other little drawings. He shifted in his seat and ran his hands through an unruly mess of curls as he replied, “Yeah, but that guy knows him better.”
He pointed at a guy with messy hair, he was the other guy sitting at the table with Louis earlier; I hadn’t even noticed that it was Liam before. Liam and I went way back, his parents had gone to high school with my dad but we had begun to grow apart as we got older. I looked back at him, with a confused face. Why was he so quick to make me go away? I looked back at his doodles; maybe this ‘Sasha’ was the reason. I sat in my chair puzzled. I ended up moving after the teacher had finished role. I tapped the other curly Liam on the shoulder. His eyes lit up when he saw me. His face was chiseled, he had a little bit of stubble but his smile hadn’t changed at all; he had grown so much since I last saw him. He looked me up and down and put his hand out.
“Liam,” he introduced himself, with a chuckle, he’s playing games.
“Minnie.” I replied shaking his hand, he then pulled me into a much over due hug. I forgot how wonderful his hugs were. We started to catch up completely ignoring our assignment.
“I forgot how funny you were,” I said laughing as Liam reminded me why we had been such good friends. I hadn’t seen him much since elementary school. I asked how he knew Louis.
“He’s been one of my best friends since the 4th grade. I guess you never met him.” He shrugged it off looking down at his phone and over to the curly haired kid who had rudely shooed me away earlier. “Give me a sec.” He got up and walked over to him, handing over his phone and sitting back down next to me.
“What was that about?” I question, tilting my head to curly.
“He doesn’t have a cell phone and, his girlfriend knows we have this class together,” I guess that’s explains who Sasha is.
“He was kind of a jerk to me before,” it slipped out before I could catch it. Liam laughed.
“He and his girlfriend are going through some things. She slept with his best friend, Nial, last month and he’s pissed, they’re trying to work through it and he’s been, in your words, kind of a jerk.” Liam said with a laugh, I was staring at curly and he looked up our eyes locked. I turned away. I looked at Liam who was watching my hands, I was braiding my hair, terrible nervous habit that I have. He laughed.
“Do you really still do that?” he chuckled motioning to my hair.
“Shut up,” I said punching him in the thigh and continuing the braid. He just laughed harder.
