Chapter 40.
Harry's P.O.V.
I laid here silently as Makayla slept peacefully in my arms, my eyes scanned her figure, I couldn't help but notice all the bruises she had on her. Who did this? When I find out who did, they won't live to see another daylight.
Even though I didn't do this I couldn't help but feel guilty, if I hadn't of told her to leave, she would of been safe. But I put her in danger... and the worst part is that she doesn't know that they're coming, she thinks James is bad, but she doesn't even know whats coming for her.
I was snapped from my thoughts as I heard someone outside, I instantly think that its James. I slowly get out of bed and tried my best not to wake up Makayla. She grunted and rolled over, my chest slowly rose up and then fell back down in relief. I hear something brake into the font door downstairs. My head jerks over to my bedroom door and I walk cautiously over to it.
I open the door and slowly crept out into the hallway. I can hear bodies shuffling down stairs and I hear an angry voice hiss,"Where is the girl?"
"I don't know what you're talking about," Niall's voice let out a whimper.
I heard a load slam and then a shriek, then it was all silence, he killed Niall?
After a few seconds I heard footsteps coming up the stairs, my body stiffens and starts to back up slowly until I'm met with a pair of familiar eyes.... Nathan... he found us? He smiles cruelly at me,"Get out of the way Harold, you know what I have to do,"
"I'm not letting you kill her, she did nothing wrong," I say firmly.
Nathan was the leader of all the vampires, he could could anyone he wanted to in a split second. And he's going to kill Makayla, but I never told her, and she won't ever know.
"She knows about us, she needs to die!" He commanded loudly and pushed me aside and stormed into the room. My heart beat raced as I heard a scream come from the bedroom, I stand back up and rush into the room. Regretting what I saw.
There was blood everywhere, and Makayla laid lifelessly on the bed, I felt hot tears stream down my face as load whimpers escaped my mouth,"Makayla!"

I woke up to Makayla shaking me uncontrollably,"Harry wake up! You're having a nightmare!"
I sat up and looked at her worried face, I look around confused,"It was just a dream?"
She nodded and clung onto me tightly, I sighed in relief. We still got time, We can escape before that nightmare becomes reality.
