I need you
Chapter one
"Hey Jannie!" A popular guys yells me name. I feel my heart begin to race.
What? Who? How?
I find myself trying to run out of the room, but he catches me.
"There's a party at my place tonight you should come." He smiles sweetly. I tried to make eye contact but I found myself staring at my desk.
"Hey Austin what are yours turning her about now?" Another guy yells from behind me. I feel my glance go behind me to him, making him blush when we make eye contact.
"Back off boys she's mine." Lydia teases coming up to me, giving me a massive hug. I blush at her words.
"Lydia, I just want her to go to the party." The one supposedly named Austin begs.
"My innocent Jinnie? No way pretty boy, you may always get what you want but not this time." Lydia hisses..I peek up at him and try my best smile. He notices and returns it.
He smiled back!
"Um, I want... to go... Lydia." I use all my strength to say. She stares down at me not so pleased.
"Jinnie, you shouldn't." Lydia whispers. Austin smirks.
"Let the girl have what she wants." He laughs. Lydia looked both mad yet unhappy.
"Jinnie you're going, but with me okay?" She gives in. I beam, shaking my head continuously.
This may be the chance to get over my fear of men.
--
I stare at myself in the mirror.
Was a hoodie and pants normal? Or too normal?
"Jinnie!" My mom yells. I stare one last time into the mirror before heading downstairs.
"Lydia told me you're going to a party. I have to admit, I'm proud." My mom smiles. I return her smile and take my leave. I couldn't get past this with Lydia making everyone stay away from me.
