Sisters, forever and always

im sat in the court room.

There official people every where. Men and women in suits with wads of paper. Scribbling things down, looking at me, taking in my appearance and noting things down again.

I tried to make my self look presentable. I tied my unruly blue hair back in a pony tail.

I'm wearing a grey pencil skirt with matching blazer with a white hairy and black courts.

Everyone's seated now, I'm sitting next to my lawyer nibbling at my nails Chipping all the varnish.

I look down and see how tacky my nails now look. I place them on my lap under the table.

"RISE"
i shakily stand And push my chair back as the judge enters.

She looks late 40s with wisps of grey hair.

"You may be seated."

I sit down. And control my breathing.

"Right hmm" she's reading her notes.

"Go up to the chair!" My lawyer nudges me. "And keep your temper!l she warns.

I stand up again. I should have chosen flats. I shaking like mad and it's making it very difficult to walk in these Heels.

"Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?" A police man says, I nod.

He raises his eyebrow.

I swallow and mange a "yes"

he he looks to the judge and nods.

And women walks up to me. I hadn't noticed her bbefore. Behind her, where she was sitting is the witch who has landed me in this situation.

"Your name is Katherine Scott, yes?"

Ugh j I hate my surname, I never ever use it. Or my first name for that...

"yes"

"you are the elder sister, to Megan Scott?"

"Yes"

"only sibling?"

"Yes."

"No..I have here a record of a half sibling? Chelsea Scott?"

"Her surname isn't Scott and I don't count her as being related to me in any way."

Ha that gets me a stern look from my lawyer.

"I see and why is that?"

"Because I hate her and only found out we were related 3 months ago."

"I see, is she from your mother or fathers side?"

Ha oh I bet shed love for me to say Father, to bad bitch.

As if she needs to know this information anyway.

"Mother."

"Oh.. right well let's get straight to the point, why should your sister live with you?"

"Because I'm her only family she has left. We were doing fine together!"

"You are not her only family she has her mother!" She sound exasperated

"she does not!" I rise out the chair." She never has and never will have a mother! That women's worthless to both of us!"

"Katherine sit down." My lawyer hisses at me.

I shoot an apologising look towards the judge, then look towards my hands.

"You have a bad past is that correct?"

"Yes." I say through gritted teeth

"and your sister has been part of it? Knows it all?"

"All the ins and outs." I can feel anger boiling inside of me.

"Yet she's coped"

"better than me."

"Maybe you should be in the foster home then!" She laughs, and she receives some from some others in the room.

"Yeah too bad I'm 17. I have loved to have been in one when I was younger, you know about 11 when I was practically bringing up a 7 year old!" There In shock. "Such a pity, you weren't around then." I smile sweetly.

She gives a wary look to the judge then takes her seat.

I walk down of the seat on the podium .

It goes on for another hour. My layer going up, then the witch then her lawyer.

Im furious about some of the things being said, when the bring up my father I'm using all my self restraint not you upturn the table and strangle them.

Finally the judge speaks.

"after looking carefully at this situation, I don't believe Megan can be in Katherine's care until she is 16."

I slam my fist on the desk.

"WHY? Ive managed Before! Well! Really we'll! I managed when we had no one! No mother no father! Please!"

The he judge just shakes her head sadly.
