"How was school?" Louis asked with a smile as Madi got in the car. "Okay, I guess." She mumbled, staring out the window. "Are you okay?" He asked, pulling out of the school parking lot. They were home for 2 weeks to visit family. "I- Uhm- Y- Yeah." She said, holding in tears. "Madi.." Louis said, softly. She ignored him and continued to stare out the window. She closed her eyes tightly, and tears ran down her cheeks.

--*drive to the studio*--

Madi gets out of the car and slams the door. She practically ran into the studio and into their room. She sat down in an empty chair and crossed her arms ignoring everyone. Louis followed her and sighed. Harry looked up at Louis and shook his head. "Are you ready to hear Story of My Life?" Niall asked with a smile. Madi nodded and faked a smile. He hit play and they all watched her reaction. 'Written on these walls are the stories that I can't explain..' She looked at them then put her head in her hands and started bawling. Liam looked at Louis and mouthed, 'Want me to take her?' Louis nodded. Liam walked over to her and picked her up, resting her on his hip. She put her head on his shoulder and bawled. He rubbed her back and walked out into the hallway with her, "Shhh... You're okay.." He sat down and held her in his lap. "What's wrong.'' She stood up and took off her sweatshirt, showing her freshly bruised arms, stomach and chest. He looked at her shocked. "M-Madi.. I- Wh- You- What happened?" She shook her head and went in the bathroom. Liam quickly got up and went back in the room. "I- Uhm- I think you should come see her.." They all nodded and walked into the hallway. Madi was standing there. She had taken off her makeup so you could see her black eye. "Wh-Wha- Who did this to you?" Zayn finally said. "People at school.." She finally said. "Why?" Niall asked, nervously. "Because of you." She snapped. "Because I wouldn't get them autographs. Apparently I'm suppose to be perfect because Louis and Harry are adoptive parents! I got hit because I wouldn't get this girl tickets! Her brother and his friends hit me!" She yelled, tears rushing down her cheeks. "Is this suppose to be the story of my life?" She asked, quietly. Louis shook his head and went back in the room. He grabbed his coat and walked out. "I'm gonna go drive. Harry." He said, meaning he wanted Harry to come with him. Harry nodded and went with Louis. "Madi put on your sweatshirt.. Let's go home.." She nodded and put on her sweatshirt.

--*between 12 and 1 am*--

"Calm down.." Madi whispered to herself. She dug through her underwear drawer until she found them. She grabbed her note and tip-toed into the bathroom. She silently closed and locked the door. She grabbed the pills from the cabinet and laid them out on the counter next to her blades. She added her the last sentence to her note. 'I should have have told you everything, I love you. -Madi x' She wiped away her tears and set it down. She took a handful of pills and then sat in the bathtub with her blades. She took a deep breath and dug a blade into her right wrist. She held in her screams as it drug through her skin. She took it out and set it on the side of the bathtub as everything began to spin. She passed out. Niall wakes up and looks at the time. 12:47 am. He got up and walked to the bathroom. He noticed it was locked, but the light was off. He ran fingers along the top of the door frame, trying to find the key. He found the key and unlocked the door. He slowly opened the door and flipped the light on. He saw Madi. He turned pale and ran into Louis' room. "Louis! Get the fuck up!" He yelled shaking him. "What?!" Louis groaned. "Go! In the bathroom! Your child! Tried to kill herself!" Louis got up and ran in the bathroom. He held back tears. "You call 911. I'll go get Harry, Liam, and Zayn up." Louis said frantically. Niall nodded and dialed 911. "Uhm- M-My little sister tried to kill herself.- Yeah- Please hurry." Niall said, tears running down his cheeks.

--*at the hospital*--

The doctor walked out. "Uhm, the parents of Madi Tomlinson?" Louis and Harry stood up and walked over to him. "How is she?" Harry asked nervously. The doctor sighed, "She's okay.. She's gonna need to visit a therapist.. We're gonna have to up her depression and anxiety medications and even put her on a few more.." Louis sighs. "Alright.. Can we see her?" The doctor nodded and led them to her. Madi laid there with an IV in her arm. She was pale and fragile. Her wrist had been stitched up and been put in a cast. She was sleeping. She needed it. "Madi.." Louis said softly. She yawned and turned over. "Can we take her home?" The doctor nodded. "Did you bring extra clothes?" Harry nodded and held up a bag. The doctor closed the curtain so they could change her. Harry slowly changed her, making sure not to hurt her wrist or bruises. The doctor removed her IV and woke her up. Louis picks her up and carries her on his hip. Harry signed some papers and they left the hospital.
Things were gonna change..
