Anything Can Happen
☺ Chapter Three ☺
To be, or not to be- that is the question: Whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing end them?
I sighed happily and put my book down. The only thing on my mind was that tomorrow I'm leaving for England. University of London, to be exact. I had this strange tingly feeling dancing inside of me. Finally, my dream is coming true...
"I bet your mother would be so proud of you," gram said interrupting my thoughts. I nodded sadly. Then she added," I'm going to miss you, you know?" I smiled and went to give gram a hug.
"Oh, I'm going to miss you too, gram." She hugged me tightly, crushing my body. I didn't care. I was going to miss her. Gram was my father and mother at the same time. My role model. My friend. I sighed and embraced her tighter.
We finally pulled apart. "Gram, I'm going to go for a walk. Is that okay?" I needed to clear my mind.
She nodded. "Just be here in time for lunch. Don't talk to strangers. Behave." I chuckled.
"Gram, I'm eighteen. I can take care of myself, don't worry." It looked like she was about to cry.
"Oh, don't remind me that!" She squeezed me one more time, and retreated my room. I looked at myself in the mirror. It was my mother staring back at me. I touched the glass delicately, as if it were to break. "I need you," I whispered. I pulled my hair up in a ponytail, grasped my camera, and went out the door.

I enjoy taking walks in the park. It helps me clear my head. I also like watching the little children play. They're so young, and so innocent. It's sad to think about that they'll be exposed to this cruel world.
I sat down on a bench and looked at my surroundings. There was a cute little girl playing tag with two other adorable girls. I remember when Victoria, my old friend, and I used to play like that. Sadly, she had committed suicide last year.
I saw a girl in a swing and a guy pushing her. Probably a couple. I smiled. Ah, this is what I was telling you about earlier. Life is so beautiful..

I thought gram was going to break me as she embraced me into a tight hug. This was our third on this day. We were at the Los Angleles airport. I was about to board the plane, but gram wouldn't let me. I was going to miss her so much!
"I love you Grey," she said as I wiped a tear of her wrinkly cheek. My heart ached seeing her cry.
I smiled. "I love you too, gram. I'll call you when I get there."
"You better. Now, you better go before you miss your flight. Good luck," she said, her voice raspy. We hugged again one more time and I went to chase the adventure of my life...
