Chapter 6

"Hey, Sammy" Nana greets me.

Louis opted out when I told him to come in, saying he had somewhere to go.

"Hey, Nana" I empty the containers from my lunch bag into the sink and start washing them before hanging the bag up and letting the dishes dry out.

"So what's this about you wanting to join the gym?" I ask Nana at dinner.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. Sam, I think it would be nicer and healthier if I was more physically active"

"So I'll jog down the street with you every morning"

"Sammy, you can't be worrying about me 24/7, and if I get into Louis' gym then he'll be there"

"You don't even know Louis, Nana. I love you and I can't have you putting yourself at risk everyday"

"I get restless around here"

"Cheeky, Romeo and Juliet are here"

"Sometimes I get bored with them too, Sammy. I can see that you trust Louis, however you two knew eachother but I can see that. If you can trust him, I'm bloody sure you'll find it in you to trust me too"

"Fine"

***

"SAMMY!!" Nana beckons from the bottom of the staircase.

"Coming!"

Nana has been going to the gym for a week now, against all my constant protests. I warned her to not push herself and to always moniter her heart-rate, and knowing how stubborn my grandmother is, I had to inform Louis of the same things just to be on the safe side.
Now she and I would walk together and I would leave her at the gym, making sure either Louis or Olivia the receptionist was there to receive her before running off to attend my own lectures on campus. In the afternoon's Louis would take Nana home and come back to coach his afternoon team and I would leave around the same time he did so he would drive me home as well. I tried on numerous occassions to not implicate himself but he was pretty steadfast. Louis and I spent an obscene amount of time together in the past week, we would text eachother in any free time we had or even meet up or coffee. Nana kept poking fingers at us but I easily dodged them. Unlike Nana, Ella was less enthused to hear about me dating Louis.

*FLASHBACK*

"Sam, you can't trust a guy like him?" Her voice loud and angry

"A guy like him, what kind of guy is that?" I retaliated

"Some who's reputation can't get much worse. Sam, you're my best friend and you can see why I don't want you around him"

"You're telling me this but not telling me why. Tell me why, Ella"

"Well, he's pretty violent, he is well known at all the bars for starting a fight and the women he's been with don't have a clean record either"

"Prostitutes"

"Not exactly, but shallow enough to be prostitutes. Do you have any idea how many charges for assault were laid against him, from those women? I know you may like the badboy type but honey, this is one above that and I don't want you to get yourself into a situation you'll regret"

Of course, Ella's words had made a tiny part of me doubt Louis and I was automatically more cautious around him but eventually, I saw no reason to feel that way. He was a gentleman to Nana - which was most important - and never resorted to violence as far as I know. Louis and I had what he likes to call a 'connection' but obviously afterwards he would double over in laughter and I would stand gingerly beside him unsure of what my next action should be. For me, this is the first time I've ever spent so much time in the company of someone like Louis.
Everything about Louis intrigued me, I found every tiny detail about his personality utterly fascinating but we never spoke further about 'who he was'. Louis had an overprotective and passive anger vibe to him, lashing out for the tiniest of things as long as I was involved. At first all I wanted to do was give him an aspirin and tell him not to bust a vessel - obviously never voicing my opinion - but as time flew by he calmed down - or so it would seem - with only his muscles tensing if something were to anger him.

The energy between Louis and I had become more apparent between us, it was hard to ignore everytime we touched. Our relationship was nothing more than hand-holding and stolen kisses - mostly on Louis' part - and I was too afraid to take it any further. I've never been with a guy - or girl, to clarify - and I wouldn't know what to do. Despite the flood of various emotions and feelings I have for Louis, I'm not ready for more. Not yet.

"See you later, honey" Nana kisses my cheek when I leave her at the receptionist table in the gym. Regular check-ups with Nana's doctor informed us that the exercise was actually beneficial to her and that her health was improving.

Today was Monday, the first day of the busiest week I'm ever going to experience because my class was due to have full-time classes the entire week - including Tuesday - from Monday to Friday with the next week being our study time. My classes that day were jam-packed one after the other with no breathing space in between. I had to stay in late at the library though to get some information from a few books only our library had. At 18:00 I had returned from Starbucks with a cup of fresh coffee and settled into a tiny booth in the corner of the library with dozens of textbooks opened to various pages all around me. My mind struggled to focus after a hard day of paying attention in class and not actually having solid food in my stomach, which now growled for sustenance.
At 20:15 the librarian approached me with someone behind her but I couldn't see who.

"Excuse me, Sam?"

"Yes"

"Someone is here to see you" she moves out of the way and Nana is standing clutching her gym bag in one hand.

I immediately rise and walk up to her, full of worry.

"Nana, what's wrong? Why are you here this late?"

"I completely forgot my housekey at home this morning and my phone is locked inside the house"

"Oh, Nana, its so late why didn't you at least bring Romeo with you?"

"I hadn't reached home yet when I realised it"

"Okay, come on"

We packed everything away and greeted the librarian on our way out. The air was cool and dry, whipping around both of us sending chills deep into my bones. I sling my arm around Nana's shoulders and pull her closer to the side of my body, in an attempt to keep as much cool air away from her as possible. She responds by wrapping her arm around my waist and ocassionally squeezing gently.

"Oh and I didn't tell you, I have to drive out early on Saturday because the committee wants to hold an urgent meeting and I will only be back on Tuesday." Nana whispers to me

"Oh man, I'm gonna miss you"

Despite it being so early on a Thursday, nobody was outside. The bars had a few people sipping cocktails or chugging beer after a gruesome day and apartment buildings had very few lights on indicating that most of their tenants were asleep.
It wasn't a long walk and we had three more blocks to go when I noticed a couple of hooded figures coming our way. My mind debated on whether to cross the street or to just walk right through them, neither having a satisfactory outcome. By their sloppy walking and constant yelling, it was evident that this gang was drunk and walking through them was a terrible idea so I pull Nana to a halt at the edge of the sidewalk getting ready to cross it when someone lays a hand on my shoulder. Nana's grip around my waist tightens in fear as my head rotates to see who the person is.

"Can I borrow your cellphone?" A bald guy from the group is standing very unsteadily behind me. With every word he speaks, a whiff of unwelcome alcohol-tinged breath hits my face.

"I don't have one, sorry" I lie to him turning back around to face the street.

A very familiar SUV pulls up infront of us and the window is rolled down.

"Get in" Louis' voice is dark and stern.

"No wait, I still want that cellphone" the bald guy continues to talk after I open the back door and let Nana in first then jumping in myself.

"Use a payphone" Louis barks at the guy and drives off without rolling up his window.

The drive home was short and extremely tense. Nana's hand gripped mine and I hadn't noticed until now that she was shaking. My eyes glance worriedly at her but she reassures me with a smile. When we pull up in front of our home, we all get out and I hand Nana my keys and tell her I'll be right in. I watch her clamper up the path and into the house before turning to Louis. His hands were buried in his pockets as he leaned against the car. He had bags under his eyes, serious ones but did he even sleep?

In the time Louis and I spent together in the past month I came to know a lot about him, that he isn't all bad could be a real softie at times. We went for a walk in the park one day and he awkwardly tried to hold my hand, I obviously didn't mind and let him hold it.

"Have you slept at all in the past week?" I pose the question

He seems taken aback and responds only after a solid five minutes.

"I-i don't sleep. Why?" His eyes are focusing on the very intricate design of the road tar while he answers me.

"Your eyes, they look tired. You don't sleep at all?"

"We do but only if we want to"

He glances up at me but not allowing me enough time to look at his face. I step forward and force him to look at me by holding his chin. The bags under his eyes are a single shade darker than his eye colour and the tiny veins under his eyes are slightly more visible. His face is pale wearing an exhausted expression.

"What's wrong?" I whisper

"Nothing" he avoids my gaze unsuccessfully as I nudge his chin upward so he is forced to look at me.

"Tell me, please"

His arms wrap protectively around my waist pulling me to him. My palms flatten on his chestin an effort to put some space between us but he is stronger than I am and manages to hold me close enough to nuzzle my neck. His breath is warm as puffs of it graze my skin.

"Tell me" I repeat

His sigh is loud and his breathing is laboured, he refuses to move his head so I can look him instead his teeth graze my skin and I yelp in surprise.

"Its not um, well I haven't eaten in a long time"

Surprisingly, I don't feel afraid knowing fully what he meant by 'eaten'.

"How long?"

"Two weeks"

"When do you have to um, eat?"

"Every five days or it starts to take a toll on us"

"Why haven't you eaten?"

His grip tightens but not enough to hurt me, his face still resting in the crook of my neck buried in my hair.

"A friend needed it more than I did so I let him have my place in the group"

"Group?"

"Yeah, we go h-hunting in groups"

This causes my body to tense not in fear because I knew Louis would never hurt me but because he could put himself at risk the way he did. What would happen to him if he didn't eat soon? As much as I didn't want to talk about it, I have no choice.

"Hunting?" I tease

"Not really, we say 'hunting' to make it sound more exciting but its no more fun that bird-watching, really"

"I sincerely hope it isn't" my laughter comes out in a huff

He lips move against my skin as he speaks.

"Will you go to the carnival with me?" His voice is shaky and unsure

"The carnival?"

He nods with his head still fit snugly in the crook of my neck.

"Sure" I grin but he can't see it

My response gets him to lift his head and peer at me quizzically.

"What?" I ask

"You'll really go with me?"

"Of course. Why wouldn't I?"

The sides of his mouth pick up in a wide grin as he leans in for a kiss. I happily accept my reward but am fully aware that Nana is spying on us from inside the house.

"When is it?" I ask

"Thursday"

"Awesome, I'll see you at the carnival"

"Its a date" his accompanying wink leaves me breathless

Nana has never seen me with a guy so she tried to act as natural as an overly-excited seventy year-old can act while washing up dishes. There were no dirty dishes in the morning, though. I give her a peck on the cheek and head up to my bedroom to shower and hit the hay knowing Nana is itching is ask me about Louis.

The morning is cold and rushed as Nana tries to get her stuff together. I stand tapping my foot as I watch her pace around the room convinced she is forgetting something.

Classes were their usual tiring self with long hours of sitting in a brightly lit classroom with a professor speaking animatedly about the human circulatory system. The last lecture was an hour long and all I could think about was going home so I took out the small pen-sized voice recorder I always carried and presses 'Record' so that I could play it back later at home. The guy in front of me began stretching his arms and was leaning backwards onto my desk. In his hands was a small white paper folded at least three times, the page was dropped onto my desk and he retracted his arms.
Not knowing if it was for me or not, I waited for the lecture to be over and then decided to ignore it and pack up my things. My legs were numb and lazy from sitting for majority of the day and my eyelids were heavy from constantly staying open.

The guy in front of me rose and turned around, I tapped his shoulder and held out the note.

"You dropped this" I say and wait for him to take it.

"Its for you" his voice is loud and arrogant. He has dark untidy hair with disturbing green eyes. A five o'clock shadow was prominent on his face and he had a bossy look about him.

"What is it?"

"Open it"

Slightly afraid that it may be some kind of prank, I hold it at arms length from me and slowly peel it open. Its slightly moist from being held so tightly in his palm and the edges were crumbled and bent. It read:

'Nice seeing you again'

I look up bewildered at him trying to recognise his face but his features do not ring a bell.

"Have we met before?" I ask

"Not properly. I'm Tony" he holds out his hand but I don't touch him not knowing where its been.

"Where did you see me, Tony?"

"Last night. On the street. My pal asked you very nicely to borrow your phone"

The memory of the gang run-in is unwelcome in my train of thought but it makes it's appearance anyway.

"Oh ok" I sling my bag over my shoulder aware that we are the only people in the classroom besides the professor.

He is taller than I am and makes an annoying wall as he stands still while I try to walk away.

"Where you going?" He asks loudly

I don't answer and finally, he let's me walk past him but I hear the professors voice echoing through the room as he calls me. Our new professor is Charles Copperfield and he is definitely better than Mr. Dellarosa. The love and passion he has for his subject is unmistakeable in his speech.

"Sam, can I talk to you down here for a second?" Mr. Copperfield asks

"Sure" I shove past Tony and jog down the steps.

The professor waits for Tony to leave the room before talking.

"Sam, how do you feel about travel?" He leans againt his deck with his neat grey suit creasing slightly at the back. His eyes are a dark blue and dirty blonde hair adorn his forehead.

"Travel? I'd love to travel one day, why do you ask?"

"Well, I'm sure you heard of the huge disaster in New York? The hurricane that hit"

I am familiar with the hurricane, its said to be one of the worst that's ever hit the Northern Hemisphere. Thousands of people who were wealthy are now almost homeless.

"Yes, I am"

"How would you like to fly to NYC with me to be part of the medical team. Obviously, you won't be going alone. You can choose a couple more students to come with you"

The offer is undeniable and travelling to New York would be amazing, to help those who need us will be a cherry on the dessert.

"I'm inclined to accept. Yes, I already have a few names of students who would love to come along. When do we leave?"

"Perfect, we leave on Monday" he says and dismisses me

The excitement bubble out of me as I shove open the main doors and run down the stairs. A grin is plastered on my face on my walk to the gym. Louis questions my mood and is just as happy for me as I am for myself - almost. Though the regular hesitations about me travelling so far away is there, he makes sure not to upset me.

On Thursday Louis picks me up at 17:00 and the trip to the carnival adds no more than five minutes to that time. Couples - old and young - hold hands and walk to different stalls in the hubbub of the carnival. Bright colours and lights flash everywhere hurting my eyes, Louis' eyes are no better from yesterday. The colour beneath his eyes has darkened and I suggested not going to the carnival but he insisted he wanted to take me.

"So what do we do?" I ask innocently rocking back and forth on my heels - I'm wearing sneakers.

"What do you mean?" He licks his lips and looks at me

"Which stall do you want to go to first?"

"Don't the girls always choose?"

"Don't generalize us"- I stick my tongue out at him -"some of us are clueless when it comes to carnivals"

"Okay, let's start with shooting"

"Shooting who?"

"You choose: clowns, ducks or penguins" he points to three different stalls all displaying different creatures to shoot.

"Let's go with clowns"

We walk up to the stall and Louis hands over five quid and the stall holder hands him a bow and three arrows.

"You want me to shoot?" He offers

"Can I try first?" I beg

He hands me the bow with a single arrow. My high school in South Africa had archery as an extra-curricular activity and I was one of the best shots in the class. My left hand steadies to bow and the right hand secures the arrow in the correct position; I aim at the first clown head the bottom of a pile of three and release the arrow. Its a hit.

"Yes!" I shout in a victorious cheer as the entire pile tumbles to the ground.

"Have you shot before?" Louis raises his eyebrow at me

"Nope" I lie

The attendant hands us a stuffed penguin the size of my arm. Louis takes it from the attendant and holds it out to me. I gleefully accept it and hold it tightly in my left hand.

"You're a good shot, Sam" Louis comments and grabs hold of my hand entwining our fingers.

"Thanks" I keep my eyes on the ground because I don't want to fall over.

"So where to next?"

"Um-" I scan all the stalls around us and my eyes fall on a tiny one at the far edge of the field -"donuts" I grin up at him.

***

The rest of the week flies by and Friday arrives too soon. Today is the last day of lectured before the week of leave we get and tonight is the briefing for the NYC trip on Monday, plus Ella is forcing me into accompanying her to a party tonight. The team I have chosen to travel to NYC with Mr. Copperfield is Ella, myself, Edward Hodgens, Danielle Pritcher and Zack Dawson.

"Okay, students I know you're all so psyched to go to that party tonight and this won't take long so settle down" Mr. Copperfield silences our buzz and begins the briefing for our team that's heading to NYC in two days.

"Okay first up, equipment. Here are all your lists so take one pass 'em on" he gives Zack who is sitting in the first row, he removes a sheet for himself and passes the stack to Ella and I sitting directly behind him.

"The items on there are very important, not many food supplies and medical equipment can be trusted in NYC right now so we're gonna have to carry some of our own stuff. Next is our daily schedule while we're there"

He went on to tell us exactly what we'll be doing at which time and that we had no curfew but to steer clear of any deserted areas, etc, as it might not be safe.

"Alright, you can all run along to your party now" he dismisses us. I'm surprised to find out he even knows about the party, maybe he'll be there.

Ella drives through a busy street while I sit next to her texting Nana to tell her I'll be a little late. A loud rythematic thumping is being emitted from a large building at the far end of the street. I see several students from campus hovering around getting thoroughly drunk and I feel extremely uncomfortable.

"You didn't tell me we were going to a bar" I scold Ella

"You didn't ask" she winks at me

"Not funny, you know I hate these places"

"And I don't understand why so let's go find out" she hops out of the car and I have no choice but to follow her.

She allowed me some time to go home and change so I threw on a black and white horizontal striped dress with short sleeves and pumps. I can't help but feel I'm overdressed.
She pulls me over to the corner of the bar where a dozen of our classmates are standing and socializing. Cups are everywhere, a few glasses are broken with there contents spilled all over the booths. Fear of contracting some foreign disease dominates my thoughts and I decide to lean against the booth with my phone in hand.
I keep a constant eye on the time while trying to map out mentally where we are exactly. My home should be over twelve blocks away and to walk now in the darkness of the night outside would be extremely dangerous, even in London.

"Hey. Sam, right?" A very tall guy with dark hair walks up to me armed with a glass tumbler filled with a golden liquid.

"Right" I smile courteously not wanting to 'lead him on'.

"Who's class are you in?"

"Sorry?"

"Who's class, as in the teacher?"

"Oh, Mr. Copperfield's class"

"Ah! The teacher who took over Dellarosa the Pedo"

"The Pedo? As in pedophile?"

"Yup"

"Why do you call him that?"

"Because he has a record of harassing kids a fraction of his age. Sexual assault is one of the charges too"

I shrug and look back at my phone screen pretending as if Russia has just emailed me their launch codes.

"So who are you here with?" He presses

"What?" I try to be heard over the blasting music

"Who are you here with?" He repeats stepping closer

"With me" a steady male voice responds from beside me. Both our heads turn towards the person, its Louis. He's wearing a dark jacket that's covering a navy t-shirt with black jeans.

"Awesome. Catch ya later, Sammy" the guy who's name I still don't know lifts his glass in a salute and leaves.

Louis resumes the unidentified guy's position in front of me only a little closer.

"Why are you in a bar?" He seems angry, I don't blame him.

"I've been asking myself the same thing"

"You have a very smart mouth, you know that?"

"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

His mouth twitches into a sexy smile as he comes closer, pressing my back against the booth wall with his hands on my waist.

"That depends"

"On wha-" I'm interrupted by Ella's voice calling my name.

Louis let's go of me and I walk towards the sound with Louis closely behind. A circle of students - and otherwise - are surrounding Ella and another brunette girl about our age with short legs and a huge bosom. She has a tight-fitting sleeveless white shirt on with a very low cut and jean cut-offs.
I shove through the people who are no more than carcusses at this point, and stand next to Ella.

"What happened?" I whisper

"Your ho over here was all over my guy" the brunette shouts with her hands making various pointless gestures in the air.

"What happened?" I repeat to Ella.

"I spilt my drink so I offered him tissues and this one started overreacting" Ella keeps her eyes on her opponent but speaks to me

"This was all a misunderstanding, I apologise. Let's go" I tell everyone in the circle and grab Ella's hand to leave when another hand gets hold of my other arm yanking me back.

My left hand let's go of Ella and grabs the hand holding mine. I spin around and bend the brunette's hands around her back. I haven't studied any martial arts but a thorough knowledge of the human body can come in handy. My left hand presses down on pressure point on her neck causing her to crumble to her knees in pain.

"Why did you have to do that?" I ask her and let go.

She gasps for breath and stands when I already left the circle with Ella. I turn my anger to her.

"Why must you go around causing trouble?" I scold

"I didn't cause trouble, I merely tipped my glass so I tried to dry it up" she responds clearly drunk

"You're going home, Ella. Now"

"No problem, I got a ride"

"You're not driving"

"Who said I was?" She winks at me and saunters off back into the crowd. Ella may be drunk but she could defend herself if someone got to her.

"Ugh" I put my hands on my waist and stand alone in the middle of the bar.

"So now I know you can fight too" Louis appears out of nowhere - again.

"I don't. I just study medicine"

"Of course you do" he sounds unconvinced

"Your eyes are still dark, Louis" I step closer to him

"Yeah, I know. We should leave, I think the brunette just got her gang together"

"Ella's still here"

"No, she's not" he points outside to where Ella's car is supposed to be parked. It isn't there now.

"Oh no"

"Calm down, I asked my friend to drop her off at home"

"Really?"

"Aha. Come on" he grabs my hand and leads me to the exit.

He drives cautiously on another foreign street with multiple apartment buildings on either side of the street. We're going in the opposite direction of my house. He pulls up infront of a very expensive-looking apartment complex and jumps down. Oh no, we're at his place.

The chilly air is cut off when Louis shuts the door behind me. The apartment has a long passageway down the middle leading to a staircase at the end. The kitchen is on my left and a living room is on my right. The air in his apartment was warm but not stuffy - thank God - and the buzz of the fridge is suddenly loud enough to block out my thoughts.

He removes his jacket and throws it over the back of a sofa before turning to face me.

"Do you want something to eat?" He offers nudging his chin in the direction of the kitchen. I glance over at it and it looks very inviting but my appetite is still in the car.

"I'm good, thanks"

"You sure?"

I nod and look down at my knotted fingers.

"Well, this is my home" he spreads out his arms and turns around once to indicate the entire apartment.

"Its very................roomy. Do you live here alone?" I ask

"Yup"

Louis walks over to a light switch on the kitchen wall and flips it on. The room is brightened by the powerful bulb; the stainless steel kitchen appliances are shining from the light. Now with the clear lighting I can see that Louis' eyes look much, much worse. His face is page-white and the contrasting navy blue beneath his eyes make it look as if he is wearing a mask.

"Louis, your eyes. It looks really bad" I move closer to him and reach up to examine the bags beneath his eyes.

"Yeah, I know" he takes a step back and pinches his nose between his index finger and thumb.

"When will you actually get to.......you know"

"Hunt?"

"Aha"

"Soon"

I shrug not knowing what the polite response to that would be. Although knowing that Louis is walking around practically surviving on fumes, I think.

"Is there no substitute for the um......b-blood?" I ask putting my hands on my sides.

"There is but I don't have any"

"Louis, this is serious and I'm pretty damn sure this can be dangerous too"

"What do you want me to do? I can't hurt anyone" he holds my gaze while I try to think. I can't believe I'm going to do this.

"Me" the word is out there and I can't take it back.

Louis' sharp intake of breath is loud and surprised. Obviously telling him to take blood from me is serious and it makes both of us uncomfortable. I ignore my doubts, thinking that Louis is at risk because he refuses to 'drink'. If I had to offer my blood - some of it - to keep him healthy, I have no problem with it.

"What? Do you even know what you're saying, Sam?" His voice has become hoarse

"I kinda do" my shoulders rise in an effortless shrug

"I can't do that, Sam. Are you mad?" He turns around and walks toward the TV

"Hey, look at me", I put my hand on his shoulder to stop him and walk around so that I can look at his face. I place my finger below his chin and force him to look at me, "You're not going to hurt me, I know that"

He presses his forehead to mine and takes deep breaths. He leans forward and kisses me passionately, his left hand cupping my face. My hands fist his shirt as his hands travel down to my waist and pauses.

"You drive me crazy, you know that?" He says against my lips. My only response is a grin and he pulls me into another deep kiss.

His hands going lower over my bum to the back of thighs and hoists me up. My legs wrap securely around his waist and my hands travel to his hair entangling my fingers.
I feel like we're moving and when I pull away I see that we're in a different room. A large bed takes up space in the middle of the room. This really is happening, isn't it?
Louis doesn't allow me much time to think as he lowers me onto the bed with him on top. He continues to kiss me while his hands travel back down to my thighs. His hand goes higher taking the hem of the dress with him and eventually gives up.
My back is lifted off the mattress and his hands reach the zipper starting at my nape. I tense as he slowly tugs on it and gently pulls it down.

"Do you trust me?" He looks earnestly into my eyes and nothing but a 'yes' manages to come out.

He deftly lifts up the entire dress and let's it fall. He gets off the bed to remove his shoes and shirt before returning. Lying in just my undergarments on Louis' bed is nothing like what I thought it would be, I imagined me being nervous and scared but now I feel safe and comfortable because frankly, I'd rather be with Louis than anyone else.

His lips travel from mine to my neck and lower, exploring, kissing and nipping. A groan escapes from my mouth when he reaches the base of my neck. His teeth bite the skin but not hard, enough to leave a small bite mark.
He continues his venture and lifts his head to look at me when he gets to my chest. My nod is slight but he needs nothing more as he slips off my bra and drops it onto the ground ontop of the other clothing.
My train of thought derails as Louis leaves a wet line between my breasts and I gasp when he takes my nipple between his teeth and then let's go. He travels further down my stomach, his tonge dipping at my navel and nips the skin below before reaching the band of my underwear.
This, I may be extremely nervous about but without asking for permission he tugs the sides down and letting it drop as well. A scream is stifled when I feel a finger enter me.

"You're so wet"

Due to my lack of relationships, feeling like this has never made an appearance before for me. My breathing speeds up when the finger gets a partner and they move tauntingly slow in and out of me. When the fingers are removed and I glance at Louis who slips the fingers into his mouth and pulls it out slowly.
It was strange seeing him do that and as if to respond to my thoughts he brings himself back up and hovers above me with hands on either side of me. He dips low and presses his lips to mine, the taste is salty.

"I want you so badly" he pulls away and breaths heavily.

"Then take me" I breath back

He looks me with a surprised expression, as if he hadn't heard me properly.

"Are you sure?" He sounds just as nervous as I am

I respond with a nod and reach up to plant a soft kiss on his lips, he kisses me back with enthusiasm. Once again he gets off the bed and unbuckles his jeans to let them fall to the ground. He distracts me with a passionate kiss, our tongues moving as one. He moves in between my legs and keeps his hands on my hips.

"I won't hurt you" he whispers into my ear. Those 4 words had an underlying meaning, one that I would have to decode over time even though it seemed pretty obvious. I felt safe here with Louis, I always felt protected when he was around or even when he wasn't with me, I somehow felt at peace knowing someone other than Nana actually genuinely cared.

My nails dig into the skin of his back when as he enters me, my back arching in pleasure. Louis holds me to him, our chests pressed together in mid-air as if letting go meant I would disappear. I didn't want him to let go, I wanted to be with him. Always.
His name escapes from my mouth in breathy gasps and screams, him only encouraging me and whispering things into my ear that make my insides melt everytime. He pulls out but not for long, his thrust hits a spot that drives pleasure right through my veins, dominating my thoughts and actions. His hold is firm on my hips as he slowly thrusts into me, his mouth being permanently planted on mine and my hands tangled in his hair.

"Are you sure?" His voice is low and very uncomfortable. I knew what he was asking permission for and granted it instantly knowing that it was beneficial to him.

His lips travel back to the base of neck and plants a soft kiss to a spot just above the base. I brace myself unsure of what to expect and I feel a very sharp and quick pain when his teeth penetrate my soft skin. My hands hold onto the back of his neck as he keeps his mouth against my skin, taking what he can without causing harm. The beginning of light-headedness begins to arise but Louis makes no attempt to move, oh no.

"Louis" I gasp his name. He immediately releases me, placing a soft kiss on the punctured skin.

He brings his face into my view resting his forehead on mine and we lay there for several minutes, inhaling eachother's breath with our lips centimenters apart but not touching. Louis is the first to move, getting off the bed and tugging on a new pair of boxers before handing me one of his t-shirts.

"Wear this" I take it from him and pull it over my head, leaving it to fall down to just above my knee.

He climbs back into the bed beside me and wraps a protective arm around my waist, pulling me to him. His body radiates a comfy warmth and I don't stop him when he tangles our legs together and places a kiss to the back of neck.

"Sam?" Louis whispers but I'm too tired to answer.

"Sam?" He repeats.

"Hmm" I mumble into the soft pillow

"I love you"
