Chapter 2
Charlie’s POV:
“….I’m sorry?” I stared at Jeremy as if he had just tried to explain the chemical compound of titanium. I tried searching my brain for any sort of clue to jolt me into remembering who the heck One Direction was.
I had scoured Modest’s website! Read up on every single one of their clients. How did I miss this? I guess being an avid Country music fan has its pros and cons; a con being that I didn’t listen to many other genres so I was “behind” on what everyone else was listening to.
Thankfully, Jeremy wasn’t looking at me as I tried to decipher what to do with the situation. After I hadn’t said anything for a couple seconds, his gaze rose to meet mine, and I quickly plastered a smile on my face.
“One Direction? Have you heard of them? I just assumed because you’re right around their age group that you would listen to their music.” I nodded slowly and tried to not let him see my confusion.
“I…uh..I think I may have heard a couple of their songs.” What a terrible lie. I had absolutely NO idea who they were. This was the most embarrassed I had been since karaoke night at the Pub on my 21st birthday.
“Great! They’re a nice group of boys, very polite. You’re a few years older than them, so just consider them five younger brothers!” Great, more brothers, not like I needed that because I was already the only girl in a family of four children.
I weakly attempted to put the most genuine smile I could muster up on my face, “Sounds great. I’m looking forward to meeting all of them and starting work!”
As soon as the words left my mouth, I heard a knock at the door and turned around to see Dorothy peek her head in and give Jeremy a quick head nod.
“Well how would you like to meet them right now? They just arrived in the office for some last minute preparations for their tour.” Jeremy got up from his chair and started making his way to the door.
It took every muscle in my body to pick me up off the seat. Why was I so nervous? I knew coming into this that I would be meeting celebrities, but I guess it had finally sunk in.
I think the added stress of not knowing who the hell they were made it a little harder to follow Jeremy down the corridor. We stopped in front of a huge conference room where I was welcomed by five breathtakingly gorgeous faces staring up at me through the glass walls.
Jeremy opened the door and allowed me to enter the room. He situated himself next to my right shoulder and extended his hands towards the boys, “Charlie, I’d like to finally introduce you to One Direction.”

Notes
So this was a fairly short chapter, kind of a filler to get to the next chapter, where Charlie will actually have interaction with the boys! Woo!Just an update, I added a little paragraph into the first chapter about a previous relationship Charlie had while she was still living in the States. If you'd like to check it out, feel free!
I'm going to start working on the next chapter right now, I feel like I'm on a roll and don't want to slow down just yet!
Make sure to comment, rate and subscribe to find out more!
Thanks!
