Fuck this is not how I pictured our reunion
"Hi Haz" He winced as if hearing my voice hurt him.
"So your back?"
"Looks like it"
"For good or are you gonna leave again and just leave a note"
Ok I deserved that. "We were toxic We were too immature for a relationship"
"Oh please Sutton you just didn't want to stick around as soon as things get hard you leave"
"I didn't have a choice Haz They are things you don't kn-"
"There was choice and you chose to leave and hurt me"
"I didn't mean to" I said silently this is harder than I thought. The hate I see in his eyes almost makes me reconsider my choice to not tell him.
"So where did you go?"
"I have family friends in Sweden"
"I hired a PI you know, I honestly thought I would find you and we would live happily ever after but I should have known"
"Liam told me."
"You knew. You must have had a good laugh Eh?Poor pathetic Harry searching for the girl who doesn't want to be found"
"No Harry it was just as hard for me I loved you"
He laughed "You don't hurt the people you love Sutton"
This is too much, this is the last time I take advice from Emilia. I should have stayed hidden forever.
"The Sutton Payne has nothing to say, I'm shocked. Do me a favor Sutton and stay away from my life I don't need you waltzing back in and fucking it all up again"
I nodded then he got up and walked away.
Breathe Sutton You did the right thing I repeat a couple times which has sorta become my mantra.
