Cassie’s Pov
Holy shit this was not happening. There he stood in all his beautifulness towering over me. I could hardly breathe but I wasn’t about to let him see that. By now I was almost positive he had heard about the interview and that is why he made that cute little comment about not blushing. But how could you not. He had a smile that angels longed for and eyes that saw to the depths of your soul. I pulled myself together as soon as they announced our names. He held out his arm and I took it trying to act like I wasn’t nervous. I approached the mic not knowing if I was going to have a voice. He must have noticed because he grabbed my hand and squeezed it giving me an “it will be okay you’re not alone look” Instantly I got a surge of confidence
“Tonight we bring to you a brand new category.Most unlikely Duo.These artist have challenged what we know and have blown our minds with some of the most unlikely of collaborations” I read from the teleprompter.
“Much like the two of us the artists nominated have taken it upon themselves to warp what we know about musical cliques if you will.” Harry finished up
We stood on stage waiting as they announced the nominees. I began to shake facing the giant TV. I felt an arm snake around my waist followed by lips pressed to my ear.
“They can sense fear. I promise they bite.”
I chuckled and was relieved when I noticed nobody saw what had just happened. As the cameras came back to us we got back to business.
“And the winners are” We said in perfect unison
“Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift with “loving the same man’ “
I watched Harry as he cringed saying their names. In the past year Harry and Taylor has gone from bad to worse. She just doesn’t know when to quit. In my opinion she is a closet lesbian. More power to her if she is.They walked on stage beaming. Miley has done a complete 360 from last year’s VMA’s she is actually good now. Music wise I mean.Harry awkwardly hugged them both while I stepped back letting them have their opportunity to thank everyone. To be honest I can’t even tell you what they said because I was so zoned out. I did that a lot when I wanted to avoid awkwardness and this was majorly awkward.
