A New Beginning
Chapter 11
Louis's POV
"A walk?" I asked confused my expression matched the tone of my voice. She laughed and readjusted in her spot so that she was no longer leaning on my chest but facing me.
"Well, we don't have to walk. We could drive, some of them are a little farther away I guess." She was now standing in front of me. I just continued to stare in confusion. What the hell was she talking about? She rolled her eyes and grabbed my hands, yanking me from my comfortable spot on the sofa. I groaned but let her lead me to the stairs, when we reached the base of the stairs she let go of my hand and ran eagerly up the carpeted stairs, leading to her bedroom. I smiled as I watched her open the door, how did I get so lucky? Lida looked back and noticed me standing at the base of the stairs, she frowned playfully before grinning and gesturing for me to follow her. I shook my head to clear my thoughts and ran up after her. When I reached the top I grabbed her from behind and wrapped my arms tightly around her waist. She squealed and giggled, leaning back against me and resting her head on my shoulder.
"Grab some shoes, we're going to go see how many of my friends still live in the same houses," she said while walking over to our bags and opening one of them and began looking through it. I watched her as she grabbed a pair of tattered toms that she wears all the time.
"Lou?" I blinked and saw that she was looking back at me with a worried expression on her face. "You okay?" she asked as she set the shoes on top of the bag and walking towards me. I put a smile on my face.
"I'm fine love," I said. I smiled and grabbed her arms, pulling her towards me. She smiled back and stepped foreword, almost closing the space between us. I bent my head down and rested my forehead on her. She sighed and closed her eyes, smile still plastered on her lips. A moment passed before she opened her eyes again, I admired the amount of green that countered the brown making her eyes just that beautiful. It's funny though, when we first met I could've sworn her eyes were all brown, then all green. I'll have to ask her sometime.
Lida's POV
We were still standing there, our foreheads resting on each other's just looking at each other. I was lost in his beautiful blue eyes and we was staring back into mine. I lost track of time and was unaware of anything else happening until his eyes flickered down to my lips, awakening me from my daze. I blinked and let my own eyes wander down to his lips for a second, signaling to him that I noticed, he blushed lightly. I smirked and wrapped my arms around his neck, preventing him from moving. I tilted my head up a little, connecting our lips and he kissed me back with passion. We broke apart to someone clearing their throat, I looked over my shoulder to see my brother standing awkwardly in the doorway with his fiancé next to him trying not to laugh. I sighed and rolled my eyes.
"Hey Matt, hey Becca," I groaned.
"Hey guys," Becca giggled. "Having fun?" I rolled my eyes again.
"Yeah, very much thanks, enjoying the view?" I asked with irritation clear in my voice. Louis snorted from beside me and I turned to him ready to start glaring but it turned into a smile quickly when his eyes met mine.
"Impressive," my brother spoke up. "You're the first who can calm her down." I grinned and smiled proudly at Louis. It's true though, he's one of the only people who can calm me down. Only Sarah, and one other person were ever able to do that.
"Weren't we going to see your friends?" he whispered in my ear.
"Oh! Yeah!" I exclaimed while grabbing my toms and actually putting them on this time. Louis walked up beside me and grabbed a pair of his own shoes. Slipping those on and them we walked past Matt and Becca hand in hand. I turned around and stuck my tongue out at them as they watched us walking down the stairs. We began walking outside when Louis pulled me back inside and handed me a jacket. I noticed that he had one on himself, I glanced outside to see a few light snowflakes. I grinned and laughed, grabbing the jacket and putting it on. I followed Louis to the car and I beat him to the driver's seat again. I laughed as he got in and turned the heater on, I took off down the driveway. I decided I'd start off close by and then farther away, we pulled up to to the house closest to mine. Time to see who remembers me. I doubt any of them would recognize me, I've become more grown up, my eyes have begun changing more drastic colors. When I was younger my eyes would begin to change shades of brown but the colors are much more drastic now. Even though I dropped out of college, the time I was there definitely increased my maturity level. I took a deep breath and grabbed Louis's hand. After taking another breath we walked up to the door and I knocked. We heard some rustling from inside, I stood talking to Louis while waiting for my friend Raynee to hopefully open the door. My back was facing the door when it opened.
"Lida?" I heard a voice ring out form behind me. That was definitely not Raynee. It kind of sounded like- no. I couldn't be. Really. I turned around with confusion lighting up my features.
"Is that you?" I looked at the man standing in the doorway. Oh no. I could take anybody but him. Not him.
"Hey Connor," I spoke nervously, already trying to back away towards the car. But he didn't get the hint, he stepped foreword and wrapped his arms around my waist. My eyes widened and Louis's face started to get red. I gave him a look trying to tell him to calm down but while I was Connor caught me by surprise and pressed his lips up to mine. Bitch. Please. I pushed him back, with my hand firmly on his chest. I stepped towards Louis and stood next to him.
"Uh Connor, this is Louis. My boyfriend." I mumbled awkwardly and place my hand on Louis's arm in attempt to calm him down. It wasn't working. Ohhhh shit.
