Samantha POV:

“Samantha Jevrin pregnant with Niall Horan’s child?”
“Is the ‘Horan Whore’ pregnant?”
“One direction pregnancy scandal”

It’s all over the headlines. It’s been two days since I posted that tweet, and the media is still in an uproar. After my panic attack the other day I’ve stayed away from social media. It wasn’t worth it to try and explain my situation to the boys’ fans. None of them would believe me. The boys have been told to say nothing to the fans either, but Harry did send out one tweet simply saying “Don’t believe everything you hear. Xx”.

Today we were going to be filming some one-on-one interviews to explain the situation entirely. These interviews are going to be very up close and personal. None of us are dressed super fancy, and none of it is scripted. We are supposed to just talk to the camera and let out all of our feelings.

By midday it's my turn to be interviewed. I sit on a bean bag chair in the boys’ game room, slightly curled up as the nice looking woman and her one camera man with a pretty basic camera begin the interview.

She asks me some basic questions to get me warmed up before delving into the harder topics.

“Samantha, the other day you tweeted a picture of an ultrasound, claiming that you are pregnant. Many people believe this to be the baby of Niall who you have been seen being rather close with in public. Can you tell us a little more about this?” I shake my head, taking a deep breath before beginning…

Samantha POV: (one day later)


“Alright guys, the video is done, we just want to run it by you before we release it to the public.” Announces Geoff, getting our attention as we sit together on the couch. All of the interview clips that we filmed the day before had been edited and compiled together, cutting out the interviewer’s questions so the whole thing was just me and the boys talking. Geoff presses play, and the short video begins.

The beginning is just Zayn addressing the camera in a slow steady voice.

“Hi guys, lately there has been a lot going on, and me an the boys jus feel like you guys deserve to know exactly what’s been happening with us. Sometimes the media gives you guys false information so we wanted to jus tell you everything firsthand and we thought the best way to do this was to jus sit down with a camera and talk to you guys like old times. Love you guys no matter what.”

The first part is Niall’s segment, and he briefly talks about some of the false rumors about him and me, and he very sweetly drops the news that he has his eye on someone else who he cares very very much for. He also says that he is reluctant to go public with their relationship because he is scared of how the fans should react, and says “it really shouldn’t have to be like this guys. You should at least be proud of me and the boys for everythin’ we do. Your words can be more hurtful than you can imagine.” Niall concludes, and the video cuts to a segment of my interview;

“Niall and I are just friends. There is absolutely nothing between us, and the media has mistaken a few friendly embraces for romance. This past month has been, obviously, very very hard for me, and there have been a few times where Niall has noticed me in pain, and he’s been a great friend to me when I need it most.” I pause for a moment to collect my thoughts. “There is so much going on here right now that the fans don’t get a chance to see, and I think that is hurting their perspective of my situation.”

Next is a segment from Harry’s interview, as he explains my situation a little bit more. His words aren’t accusive or harsh, but his voice is low and very serious, pausing after each sentence to let his message sink in.

“One of the pictures that has been released of Niall comforting Sam was taken at the hospital here on the 6th of August. From the picture you cannot tell that we are at a hospital. You cannot know that Sam and the boys had just been swarmed by paparazzi on their way to the hospital, and that one of the cameras had been knocked into Sam’s head. And you cannot possibly know that the reason Sam was at the hospital was to confirm a pregnancy which she had no way to control. Any person would need some comforting after going through all that, and it’s ridiculous that Niall’s simple act of kindness here got completely blown out of proportion."

Harry then goes on to ask all of the fans to work together to stop this kind of behavior. He said he was ashamed of the media and of many of One Direction fans for forgetting their morals, and always jumping to conclusions.

“We love our fans very much, and we obviously wouldn’t be here without them so we care for them all immensely. That being said, they should know that whenever huge things are happening in our lives we will tell them. We owe it to them to keep them involved, but sometimes there are situations that we need to figure out on our own before we can share information with the world.”

Liam’s segment is next, and his message is heartfelt and sincere.

“Our fanbase has gotten so big to the point where rumors catch on and spread like wildfire. An-and sometimes the fans just get a little bit out of control, especially on social media where they don’t have to face the impact of their words. Every day me and the boys get thousands and thousands of hateful messages, and we have learned to ignore them, but I think for people like Samantha, it’s just incredibly overwhelming to have all of that negative attention all at once. I think me and the boys and all of our girlfriends have really experienced firsthand how mean jealous teenage girls can be, I mean it just gets a little ridiculous to be honest. I seriously can’t imagine what kind of girl would just sit at home and think “hey, here's this girl who is probably very nice, who has never done anything at all to make me dislike her, but she gets to spend time with One Direction and I don’t, so now I hate her and I’m going to tell her that she should go kill herself”. I mean, I just don’t understand it at all. The fans should be happy if we are happy, and they should be respectful of our decisions as a band and as an individual!

After Liam’s rant, there are similar clips from Niall, Zayn and Louis’ interviews, asking their fans to be more patient in the future, and to try to keep their harsh words to themselves. Then the video jumps back to me, as I address the issue of the baby growing inside of me.

“The other day I woke up and was very sick, vomiting uncontrollably. Jennie, my nurse assessed my symptoms, and together we came to the conclusion that my period was weeks late, and that I was showing all of the early signs for pregnancy." I inform in a shaky voice. "Jennie wanted me to go to the hospital to get testing done to confirm the pregnancy, and to find out why my symptoms were so bad, so Jennie, Niall, Harry and I went to the hospital that morning. There it was confirmed that I was pregnant, and a DNA test showed that the father was the man who raped me at the One Direction concert on July 5th.” I pause for a few moments, picking at a seam in my pants before continuing. “I plan to keep and raise the baby, and I just ask you guys to be supportive of the decisions I make as I move forwards. I’m trying my best to adjust to this whole situation, but sometimes I break under the pressure, and I hope that you guys can recognize that and be respectful of my faults.”

The video concludes, and the room is silent for a few moments. “It’s perfect,” Harry murmurs from his spot beside me and I could not agree more.

“Alright guys if you have no objections, then we are going to release it to the public now. I’m going to ask you all to post the link on your twitter pages, and we are going to post the video on your websites and other group social media sites.” Says Geoff, getting out his phone to let his team know to release the footage.

Within minutes after the video going public the fanbase is in a frenzy. All kinds of hashtags are trending including #sorrysamantha, #alwaysloveID, #niallsnewgirl, and many others.

For the first time in days I open up my twitter to see that my timeline, which was once filled with hate, is now filled with positivity and encouragement. I feel someone nudge my side and I look over to see Harry reading my twitter feed over my shoulder.

“Feeling better babe?” He asks with a cheeky grin.
