Out of the Darkness

Louis POV:

The concert was great! The crowd was so energetic, and we all had a great time. We all just finished showering, and since the crowd has cleared out and the stadium is empty, we are going back on stage to get some photos done (ugh).

I walk into the main room backstage to find Harry, Liam and Niall already in there, on the couch laughing as Harry describes an encounter with a desperate fan earlier today. I grin, and run over, leaping onto the couch and squishing them all (haha). They all groan and laugh as they shove me off, and Niall jumps up to retrieve his pizza which had gone flying.

"Hey, that's my pizza!" yells Niall as he grabs it off the floor and starts chasing me around the room trying to hit me with his now ruined pizza slice. Zayn comes in, and pretty soon we are all running around howling with laughter.

We finally calm down enough to go out for the photo shoot, and the five of us plus the camera crew troop out onto the stage. Looking out at the empty stadium, it is hard to believe that a few hours ago it was filled with fans, all here just for us. Sometimes it is overwhelming to think about how successful we have been these past few years.

My sentimental thoughts are interrupted when someone turns on the bright lights and we can no longer see past the edge of the stage. I hope this doesn't take too long. It's already passed midnight.

We cooperate for a while, posing for the camera guy, until Harry prances up behind Liam during his single shot, and yanks down his pants.

All hell breaks loose as we team up against Harry and begin chasing him around the stage. (I think the stage crew should reconsider their choice of red-bull as a backstage refreshment for us). We get him cornered on the left side of the stage, right near some massive speakers. Seeing he has no other option, Harry carefully leaps off the tall stage, and runs around behind the speakers yelling and laughing.

All of a sudden Harry's laughter breaks off, and we hear him swear loudly. Curious, we all start to make our way off of the stage to see what's up. He probably just tripped or something. I jog around to the back of the speakers to find him frozen in place. The smile fades from my face as I follow his gaze to see a small dark figure crumpled on the ground in front of us.

Fuck.
