Chapter 2
"Leila!" Luke calls from downstairs. I pop my head out of my room.
"Yeah?" I reply. He sees me and smiles running up to me. He leans down and kisses me.
"Are you ready?" He asks eagerly. I shrug.
"I haven't been back in my country in ever." I explain. He laughs.
"you just love Australia more than Europe?" He jokes. I grin.
"You wish." I tease lightly pushing at his cheek. He rests his chin on my shoulder.
"what's it like there?" He questions.
"the place? It's peaceful, the people. They could get better." I mutter. He kisses my cheek making me giggle. He stands there and slowly whispers into my ear.
"when you gonna realize that I'm your cure heartbreak girl?" He sings quietly. I melt at his words. He knew when I was upset. I turn around and face him. He wraps his hands around my waist.
"Thank you." I reply. He smiles.
"I'm here now, to truly keep you safe you know that right?" He asks. I nod my head. Two years and I'm still like this with a thought of him. I mean after being best friends for ten years and suddenly fighting like that, I can't stop thinking of him.
"he probably forgot about me." I whisper. Luke lifts his eyebrow up.
"Don't talk about any other man in my presence." He declares kissing me again. I laugh and agree.
"sorry." I apologize. His phone buzzes and he answers it.
"Hey Ash." He speaks. "Yeah I'm ready." He says. He says a few more sentences and hangs up. He glances up at me. "ready to finally meet the band?" He asks. I nod my head yes.
