Maddie’s P.O.V

I walked into the kitchen followed by the girls and sat down because I started to feel faint. “I have something to tell you all, but you can’t tell any of the guys, even Harry.” They all nodded. “I’m anorexic…” I said quietly. They all looked shocked. “Oh my god, how do you know?” Perrie gasped. “The doctor told me this morning. Harry wasn’t in the room though so he doesn’t know, I’m doing this to prove to myself that I’m not weak but I know I am. I passed out after cutting myself 3 times.” “So that’s what all the blood was from! I’ve cleaned it up now.” Dani said. I nodded and got my phone out.

To: Brooke
About to take on the lads with the girls at soccer. Who you betting on?x

I put my phone on the table and stood up again putting my boots on. “You ready?” I asked just as my phone buzzed.

From: Brooke
Girls every time. Mum said to tell the lads that she said good luck. Even Faye when she was five couldn’t be allowed to win, good luck x

I laughed and then we all walked into the hallway. “Ready?” I asked. “Yep, let’s go.” Harry picked up Brooklyn. I wanted to take her from him but I really don’t have the strength to hold her at the moment. We went next door and did another quick warm up and then went out into the garden with a football. We started playing and I ran past Louis towards Harry. Harry stood in front of me and I moved around him dribbling the ball and then passed to Perrie who was standing near the goal and she put it in past Zayn. We all jumped around high fiving and I started to feel really sick and took a step back to let El take it this time. I looked at Dani and she instantly knew I wasn’t feeling well. “I can’t do this,” I mouthed to her. “Try, we’ll stop soon.” She mouthed back. I nodded and tried to go for the ball but as soon as I got to it I collapsed. “Maddie!!” Harry shouted running to me. “I’m gonna be sick.” I said trying to stand up. Harry helped me up and into the bathroom to be sick. “Feel better?” Harry asked. “I can’t do this, I’m anorexic Harry.” I admitted quietly. “You’re what??” He looked at me in disbelief. “I’m anorexic, that’s why I can’t keep things down, because my body can’t handle it. I wanted to play soccer to see if I could and prove to myself that I’m not weak but I am weak and I can’t play.” I cried into his shoulder. “Babe, it’s okay. Why don’t you take Brooke home and I’ll be back soon.” He hugged me tighter. I nodded and he let me go. I walked into the living room and picked Brooke up. It wasn’t too hard but it made my arms ache. I went back home and put her down on the floor and lay on the couch. How could I let myself get anorexic? I’m pregnant for god sake and I’m putting my baby’s life at risk here. Harry came in and sat next to me resting my head on his lap. “Please eat; you need nutrients to keep that baby inside you alive.” He said. “I know. I just need sleep at the moment.” I closed my eyes. I fell asleep soon after.

Harry’s P.O.V
I watched Maddie sleeping on my lap and felt so bad. If I hadn’t have cheated she would never have cut or starved herself, she wouldn’t be anorexic and weak. It’s my fault. The door opened and everyone came in so I told them to be quiet. “Is she alright?” El questioned. “She will be. I feel so bad, I made her cut again. Again.” I stroked Maddie’s hair. “I need to stop doing this to my wife.” I said. “Well then stop, no one but you is hurting her. She’s ill and got your baby inside her to take care of too so stop hurting her and then she’ll get better.” Liam told me. “I don’t know what to do…” I sighed. “Renew your vows with her! She wants to do that, she told me and the girls. That will make her happy. We all want happy Maddie back.” Danielle said loudly causing Maddie to stir. Maddie woke up and was instantly confused. She sat up and then ran to the bathroom. “How does she have that much sick in her if she doesn’t eat?” Louis asked. “I have no idea.” I got up and went into the bathroom. Maddie was sitting by the toilet and completely pale. I didn’t know what to say. She just kept being sick and I felt hopeless. There is nothing I can do. A few minutes later she stopped and cleared herself up. “I feel better now.” She turned to me. “Good.” I smiled hugging her. We went back into the living room and talked to the others. “We’ll have to reschedule our match for a time when I’m not puking my guts up.” Maddie said. Everyone laughed and agreed. “Did you boys get invitations to go on Ellen?” I turned to them. “Yeah, we all did, Perrie and Little Mix did too.” Zayn said. “What are they trying to do? Maddie’s on then too.” “Maybe they’re just trying to see how we all act together.” Niall suggested. “Yeah maybe.” “I’m not going if I can’t keep my food down by then. I’m not spending 10 hours being sick on a plane.” Maddie said. “That’s fine. I won’t be going if you’re still ill.” I told her. Everyone understood and we sat and talked for a while and then they went home. Maddie decided to go up to bed and I was going to join her once I had put Brooklyn to bed. I went upstairs and into the nursery with Brooke. It took me a few minutes to put her to sleep and then I went and got ready for bed. I got into bed and Maddie moved closer to me so I could put my arms around her. “How come you didn’t see Phoebe for 10 years?” I asked her the question what had been keeping me wondering. “It’s a long story.” Maddie said. “I’ve got time, I feel like there is so much that I don’t know about you but you’re my wife.” “I’m sorry. I’ve kept a lot from you and I hate it but I just can’t explain everything I’ve been through. It would take ages.” She moved even closer to me. “Tell me, I’ll listen, you speak.” I coaxed her on. “Are you sure? My life is complicated. Where do I start?” “What’s the point of us being married if we don’t know hardly anything about each other? Start from where you want.” “Okay,” She took a deep breath. “When I was 12, Phoebe moved over here. We used to visit when Dad was working over here. Then when we got home once, we were told that my Nana had died. She lived near us in California and Phoebe used to look after her. I loved my Nana and she was always there no matter what. I loved her to pieces and when she died I cried for days. Phoebe didn’t even go to the funeral and the next time we went to see her I lost it and blamed her for Nana’s death. I told her I hated her and that if she hadn’t had left then I’d still have my Nana. I never went back after and left the second most important family member to me, my cousin Greg. Nana was the most important. Nana dying was what kick started my depression. When we went home I basically shut myself away from my family. I didn’t want anything to do with them until Faye was born. I looked after Faye and wouldn’t let anyone hurt her. I protected her like she was my own. Nothing much happened until I was 16 and then I got a job as a model. There was a lot of controversy about it because of who I was. I was THE Maddie Anderson, Rob’s daughter. Everyone hated me because my scars were visible and I wasn’t perfect like other models, I wasn’t really skinny and wasn’t amazingly pretty. It was horrible. When I stopped modelling everyone celebrated. That’s why when I started dating you everyone hated me. They knew I was that girl and thought I was just doing it for attention. When I was 18, I made the California Woman’s team for soccer. I was really competitive and we won most matches. People started to speculate when they saw me going in and out of stadiums all the time but they never worked it out. Then I went to college and came here. That’s my life story!” She said. I laughed and hugged her. “Thanks for telling me babe.” I smiled. She smiled back and went to sleep.

-Skip to Day Before Ellen-

I woke up and Maddie was sitting by her suitcase. “Are you sure you want to go?” I asked making her jump. “Yeah, I feel better now.” She said. I nodded and she started packing my stuff too. “I’ll do that.” I walked over to her. “No, I’m doing it.” She argued. “Text the boys and tell them we’ll be ready in an hour.” She instructed. I texted them and got a few okay’s back. I got dressed and once I was ready Maddie had packed everything. “Ready to go love?” I asked. She stood up and brushed her skirt off. “Yep.” She smiled. I got Brooklyn out of the nursery and we went downstairs with our suitcases. The van pulled up outside and we got in and waited for El and Louis. They came out and we drove to the airport. Maddie pushed Brooke in her stroller and I pulled the suitcases. There were quite a lot of paparazzi and Maddie looked scared so she stayed close to me. We checked in our luggage and then went to the gate. Maddie sat and talked to El for the whole time and I just sat on my phone.

To: Maddie<3:*
Hey, I’m lonely :(

I watched as she looked at her phone and then turned to me. “Love you,” She mouthed and turned back to Eleanor. First class was called and Maddie picked up Brooklyn and walked towards the gate. She gave the guy their tickets and walked onto the plane followed by El and Kayleigh. Once I had gotten on the plane I saw that she was sitting with El. My phone buzzed in my pocket and I sat down and looked at it.

Niall sat down next to me. “Where’s Mads?” He asked. “With Eleanor.” I sighed. Louis sat down next to Niall with Sam in his arms. “Your wife is stealing my girlfriend.” He said to me. “Tell me about it.” I shut my eyes. My phone buzzed again.

Are you okay? You look upset xx

I locked my phone and didn’t bother replying. We took off and I could hear Maddie and Eleanor talking but didn’t actually know what they were saying.

Maddie’s P.O.V

“I think Harry’s pissed because I’m not sitting with him.” I said checking my phone again. “Why? We never get anytime together, he gets you all to himself.” Eleanor replied. “I know but I just think he’s upset.” I said. Brooklyn gurgled so I picked her up from my seat and put her on my lap and Eleanor put Kayleigh in her car seat onto Brooke’s chair. “What’s the matter baby?” I asked and she just pointed at Harry. “Okay princess, hang on.” I said waiting for the seatbelt light to go off. When it had I stood up and went over to Harry. “Haz,” Niall shook him. He opened his eyes and looked up. “Hey,” he said, sounding upset. “Brooklyn wants you. Are you alright?” I asked. He nodded and took Brooklyn from me. He didn’t say another word so I went to walk off when Louis grabbed my arm and pulled me back. I looked at him and he told me to crouch down so I did. “He’s upset because you’re with El. You’ve been back with Harry for less than a week and you’ve already given up on him. That’s why he’s not talking to you.” He whispered. “I just want to spend some time with El. He’ll have me at the hotel and stuff; she’s my best friend Louis.” I replied. He nodded and let me go. I went back to El and she looked at me. “What’s up?” “Harry’s upset because I’m with you.” I told her. “Don’t worry about it babe. Just relax.” She said. I sat down and went to sleep. The twins woke me up a few times but I slept for basically the whole flight. We landed and got off of the plane. Harry was still avoiding me. I got my suitcase and the stroller and he came over and gave me Brooke and then got his suitcase, not saying a word to me. In the van on the way to the hotel he didn’t say anything either. We went up to our room and I put Brooklyn on the bed and she fell asleep. “What’s up with you?” I asked Harry. “You ditched me for El. I wanted to be with you but you just ignored me.” He said. “Harry, I love you but I can’t spend every minute with you. I haven’t seen El in the last week so I just wanted to catch up with her. I’m with you now.” I said and he came over and kissed me. “I’m sorry. I love you too.” He said. I smiled and we went to bed with Brooklyn between us.

When I woke up, Harry had his arms wrapped tightly around Brooklyn. She was sucking on her dummy and had her face nuzzled into his chest. I smiled at them and got out of bed and dressed into some jeans and a top just until we get to the studio. There was a knock on the door and I opened it. “Hey,” Louis said. “Hiya,” I replied. “I just wanted to say that we leave in 20 minutes and you might need to wake those two up.” He laughed at Brooke and Harry. “Please don’t make me, they look too adorable!” I said. “Just wake Harry up, the twins are asleep at the moment and we’re not going to wake them up so you don’t need to wake Brooke.” He said. I nodded and he left closing the door behind him. I woke Harry up and he turned to look at me. “Morning gorgeous.” He said. “Morning, get up and dressed and I’ll hold Brooklyn so she doesn’t wake up.” I answered. “Okay baby.” He kissed me and went into the bathroom. I sat on the bed and held Brooklyn in my arms. Harry came out of the bathroom and took Brooke off of me and put her into her car seat. I picked up my bag and he got the car seat and we went down to the lobby. The others were already down there. “Hey, let’s get going.” Paul said. “Yeah okay.” Harry replied. Perrie, Leigh-Anne, Jade, Jesy and Danielle went in one van and the rest of us went in the other one. We got to the studio and were lead to our dressing rooms and El and Dani looked after the kids.

Harry’s P.O.V

We got into the dressing room and our stylist picked out our clothes. We changed and then Lou did our hair. Once she had finished I went to Maddie’s dressing room. I walked in and she looked so gorgeous. I sat down whilst Emily did her hair, Emily left and I went over to Maddie. “You look stunning.” I put my hands on her hips. “Not too bad yourself.” She laughed. I smiled and leant down to kiss her. We made out for about 2 minutes until I was told I had to go on. “I’ll see you in a few minutes.” I kissed her on the cheek and ran out to join the boys. “I hope you haven’t forgotten that Ellen puts cameras in the dressing rooms.” Louis said. Shit. “Please welcome, 5 of out 10 guests today, One Direction!” Ellen said. We went out and Ellen was smirking at me. We sat down and she started to quiz us. Then she came to me. “Harry… We’ve seen some interesting dressing room footage.” She said. “Oh god.” I rubbed the back of my neck. “What did you do?” Louis asked. “Urm…” I stalled and the footage of Maddie’s dressing room came onto the screen. “This bit’s boring, he’s just watching her but then,” Ellen fast forward a bit. “Full on making out.” She laughed. “Maddie’s gonna kill you!” Niall said. “I know…” I muttered. “Let’s see shall we, our 6th guest tonight, is Maddie Anderson!” Ellen said. “Styles.” I said quietly. Maddie walked out and sat on the arm of the couch next to me. “You’re so dead.” Maddie whispered. “So Maddie, interesting footage there.” Ellen said to her. She looked so embarrassed. “They’re always like that, it’s sickening.” Zayn said. “Should we get your wife out here then?” Ellen laughed. Zayn smiled and sat back on the couch. “Please welcome, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Perrie Malik. It’s only Little Mix!” The girls walked out and sat on the other couch. “So, we would have brought Danielle, newly Payne, and Eleanor, still Calder, out too but they’ll have to put up with being in the audience unless they want to come up here.” Ellen looked at them and we looked at them too. They were both shaking their head and Louis and Liam laughed at them. “Well, we won’t make them considering they’re watching the kids.” Ellen said. “The babies are your kids Louis aren’t they?” She asked. “Yeah, they’re cute in the day and then they’re really annoying at night. One cries, the other one cries. We’ve had to get Maddie to come round on several occasions.” Louis replied. “So you’re like the helper then Maddie?” Maddie laughed and nodded. “Yeah, it’s not enough to have my own child; I have to look after theirs too.” She said. “How is your daughter?” Ellen looked at me. “She’s good, growing up too fast but good.” I answered. “So Liam, you got married less than a month ago, how was it?” “It was amazing, definitely the best day of my life.” He smiled and turned to Dani who was smiling back at him. “Louis, when are you going to propose?” Ellen asked bluntly. He laughed. “I don’t know, Maddie keeps bugging me about it but I honestly don’t know.” He replied. “Okay, Niall, you are the only single band member, and the only one who has no commitments what so ever. How does it feel?” “I guess it’s alright but Harry and Louis have kids and Liam, Zayn and Harry are married and I feel a bit left out sometimes. Like if they were to start talking about partners or kids I’d be like, bye, see you later. Purely because I can’t join in.” Niall said. Ellen started talking about our new album and Little Mix’s album and then Maddie’s single. “I’ve got some rumours that I want to check.” Ellen said. We all agreed. “The first one is that Maddie and Harry split up at your wedding Liam, is that right?” “They did but only for a week or so, it wasn’t anything major.” Liam lied. I looked at Maddie and she looked really upset. She hates being reminded of it. “I’ve been doing some digging, and I found out that Maddie used to be a soccer player for California Girls when she was only 18, is that true Maddie?” Ellen looked at her. “Yeah, I was a striker. My sister sent me a picture just last week of me in my kit playing with my youngest sister.” “Awh that’s cute. Next one,” she turned to Little Mix. “Perrie, you’re pregnant?” Zayn spat out his drink making us all laugh. “What??” Zayn said. “No I’m not, I don’t know where you heard that but I’m not. Calm down Zayn.” Perrie laughed. “Leigh-Anne, is it true that you’re engaged?” “Yeah it is. I got engaged last week.” “Well congratulations. What about this one, Maddie and Harry, are you expecting another child? Some fans have said that when you were asked about it on a British show you tensed up and you’ve been wearing quite baggy clothes recently.” Ellen looked at us. Maddie looked down at me and I nodded. “Yeah we are,” Maddie said. “How far gone are you?” “2 months,” Maddie told her. “Is there any sign of a bump yet?” “Not really.” She said. “So you can still wear your famous skinny jeans then?” Ellen said. “Yep, but I’m sure they’ll get banned soon enough.” Maddie looked at me and everyone else laughed. “Congratulations, and the last one, Niall, it is speculated that you’re back together with your ex-girlfriend Annabel Glover.” “Is it? Because that’s not true. I haven’t spoken to her since we broke up and don’t wish to.” Niall said. “These pictures suggest otherwise.” Ellen showed Niall a magazine and on the front cover were him and Belle holding hands. Belle was trying to hide her face and Niall was looking at her like she’s his world. “I don’t know where they got them pictures but honestly, I don’t want to get back with Annabel. She couldn’t handle our relationship so it’s just best if I stay away from her.” Niall told everyone. We finished the interview and all went backstage. Maddie ran off to call someone and I went over to Niall. “Where did they get those pictures? It was obviously you and Belle.” I asked. “I went on a date with her the other day but we decided to keep it low key and not tell anyone but it didn’t go well so we said that we weren’t going to try and be a couple again.” “Oh right okay, well I think Maddie is grilling her on the phone right now.” I looked over at Maddie.
