Maddie’s P.O.V
Harry looked at me amazed when I came out of my room, I don’t know why. It was kind of strange. He seems nice though. If I give him enough time, we can maybe become good friends. I didn’t want to annoy him anymore today so I went and knocked on Belle’s door.
“Damn girl, you look gorgeous!” she said after she’d opened the door. “I’m sorry Mads but I’ve got to work.”
I replied, “Don’t worry about it, I’ll just unpack.” I walked back to my apartment and opened another box. This one was full of pictures. I decided to place them all around my apartment. There were some nails already in the walls so I hung some up as well. When I was finished it was around 3pm. I looked around to admire my work, I’d done well! Then there was a knock at the door.
“Hey!” Harry shouted, enthusiastically.
“Hiya, do you want to come in?” I asked him.
“Why don’t you come round to mine? We can get to know each other properly.” I nodded and grabbed my keys. We walked next door, before he opened the door he paused, “By the way, I have a roommate, I hope you don’t mind.” He told me.
“Oh no, that’s fine.” He smiled and unlocked the door.
“Hi. You must be Maddie!” A brown haired boy cheerfully said, emerging from the kitchen. “I’m Louis; it’s nice to meet you.” He smiled at me.
“Yeah, it’s nice to meet you too Louis,” Harry led me to the couch.
“Would you like a drink, Maddie?” He asked.
“No thank you.” I replied and Harry walked out of the kitchen with a glass of water in his hand.
“I’m going out Haz, see you later.” Louis called to him.
“Yeah okay, bye,” Harry waved. The door shut. “So, what brings you to London?” Harry asked.
“I’m going to be attending London University. It’s always been my dream to come here and here I am!” I told him, excitedly.
“So you’ll be sticking around for a bit then?”
“Yeah, 3 years but if I like it over here I might stay. It all depends on how my little sister copes with me being away really.”
“Oh right, how old is she?” He seemed interested.
“She’s 7, her name is Faye. I have another little sister, Brooke, but she’s 15 and has dealt with me leaving way better than Faye.” He nodded.
“I moved here from Cheshire. It was hard at first but now I don’t even miss it that much. It’s nowhere near as far as California though!” He laughed.
“Yeah, it’s pretty far.” We talked for hours until it started to get dark, time passed by so quickly, I didn’t even realise. We talked about loads of stuff. “I’ve gotta get going, I’ve still got to eat. I haven’t eaten since you left this morning.” I told him.
“Okay, can I have your number so I don’t have to knock on your door to get you to come round?” He questioned.
“Yeah sure,” I gave him my phone and he put his number in and I did the same to his. I saved my name as ‘Maddie<3:*’. “See you later!” I shouted walking out of the door. I went back to my apartment and made myself some dinner.

Haha, nice name but mine wins. Come round anytime tomorrow if you want.
I read the text. I was going to leave his name as that in my phone, I liked it.
To: Harry<3<3xxx
Yep, yours wins. I’ll come round about 12, but wake me up if I’m not there by 12.30! See you tomorrow x
I laughed and pressed send. I can already see a really good friendship working out between us.
Harry’s P.O.V
I got a text from Maddie telling me she would come round at about 12. Lou had just gotten home.
“Hey Haz, how’d your date go?” Louis said walking into the kitchen where I was sitting.
“It wasn’t a date, I don’t want to ruin things between us, she’s really nice, and we’re just friends.” I told him.
“Yeah yeah, if you say so,” I shook my head and walked to my room. I was so tired that I decided to go to sleep. It’s only about 9pm but we’ve just gotten back from the States so it’s normal to be tired.
