Harry’s P.O.V
Maddie took the news way better than I had expected her too. I thought she was going to be mad that I was leaving her with Brooklyn but she didn’t even mind. I’m going to be around at night but she’s not really going to see me. She’ll be in bed when I get in and still asleep when I have to leave. I don’t think she realises that. I’m going to miss being with her and Brooklyn so much. I’ve spent the last month at home with Brooklyn and Maddie so I don’t want to leave them. Anyway, today I start back at work. It’s 6am and I’m already up getting ready. I got a text.

From: Louis
Van’s outside, see you in a bit

I sighed and pulled on my shoes. I ran down the stairs and got into the van. “Hey,” I said climbing in. “What are we going to do about Zayn?” I asked them. “He’s not going to come back from his honeymoon is he? We’re just doing solos and Zayn is going to have to do extra hours to catch up.” Niall said. “Well I didn’t want to leave my daughter but I’m here.” I moaned. “None of us wanted to leave our girlfriends Harry; you’re not an exception we have to work.” Liam said. I sat back in the van and waited until we got to the studio. When we got there we were greeted by our management. “Good morning boys, today we need to focus on your solos for the new album, as Zayn isn’t here you’ll be finishing all your solos this week and Zayn will need to catch up when he gets back,” They told us. I just kept thinking about Maddie waking up alone and having to look after Brooklyn by herself. “Niall, you’re up first, Harry stop daydreaming,” Kylie, one of the people who works for Modest!, said. I sat up and tried to focus on what Niall was singing. I couldn’t focus at all. “Look Harry, we know you’ve had to leave your girlfriend and daughter but they’ll be fine. You need to work.” I was annoyed by that.

Maddie’s P.O.V
I woke up in an empty bed; Harry must have already left for work. I went and checked on Brooklyn before getting dressed and having some breakfast. I decided that I’d go grocery shopping and then just go for a walk today. I changed Brooklyn and got her stroller ready. I saw a note with Harry’s keys on it. It read: ‘If you go anywhere, take my car, I’m not letting you have Brooke in yours. Harry xxx’ I laughed and picked up his keys. I called El and asked her if she wanted to come, she was next door so she came over in about 5 minutes and we left. “Why are we taking Harry’s car?” She asked when I unlocked it. “Because my stupid boyfriend is overprotective and won’t let me take Brooklyn out in my car.” I told her. She laughed. I handed Brooklyn to Eleanor and she put her in the car whilst I put everything in the trunk. We climbed in and drove to the supermarket. There were a few paps but not that many so we just walked straight in. I didn’t need much so we didn’t bother getting a trolley we just got a basket. I went round getting everything and we went to pay. The cashier recognised us, we really need to do better than some sunglasses. “You’re… You’re Maddie Anderson and…” “Eleanor Calder yeah we know our names, can we just pay for our stuff?” El interrupted. I laughed and the cashier scanned all of our shopping. I paid and we walked back to the car. “You must get fed up of hearing that,” I said to her, “Yeah I do, that’s why I interrupted her.” We unpacked everything into the car and drove to the park. We walked around for a few hours and talked and then went home, we knew the boys wouldn’t be back until quite late so we decided to watch a movie. When it had finished I looked at the clock. It was 10pm and they still weren’t back. “They’re always this late, don’t worry.” El said. I sighed and El went home. “I’ll see you soon Maddie,” She said before she left. I showered and went to bed. I heard Harry come in and check on Brooklyn before getting into bed himself. I turned over to face him. “Hey,” he said. “Hi, do you always work this amount of hours?” I asked him. “Yeah, I’m sorry. Everyone was annoyed with me because I missed you and Brooke.” “We missed you too.” I told him and kissed him. “I see you stuck by my rules, I saw the news. Why did one fan tweet about El being rude to her?” He asked. “She wasn’t being rude, they were doing the whole Oh My God you’re and El finished her sentence for her, she’s fed up of hearing it!” I argued. “Okay, go to sleep.” He said putting his arm around me. I held it and fell asleep. I was so tired that I nearly fell over when I went to see to Brooklyn. Harry got out of bed, “Go back to bed, I’ll see to her, you’re exhausted.” He said. He came to bed about 10 minutes later and we both fell asleep again.
-1 month later-
Harry has been working stupid hours for about a month now. He’s just putting the finishing touches to the album and then he’s off. We’re going to plan our wedding and get married before he goes off on tour again. Zayn and Perrie are back from their honeymoon and acting just like any other newlyweds. Zayn was so annoyed when they both had to go back to work. They both work stupid hours so they never see each other whereas me and Harry see each other for about 10 minutes every day. It’s hard to look after Brooke on my own but I’ve kind of gotten used to it. Because I’m on a gap year from Uni, we might go on tour with Harry and the boys. I don’t want him to miss anymore of Brooke’s life and he hates not seeing her. It’s the perfect solution. Paul, his tour manager, has agreed that we can go because Harry is always miserable away from home. It’s going to be Brooklyn’s first time travelling as well. Back to the wedding, Harry is going to do as much as he can in his time off. His best man is of course Louis and my maid of honour is Eleanor. The groomsmen are Niall, Liam and Zayn and my bridesmaids are Brooke (My sister), Faye, Dani, Perrie and Belle. Brooke is bringing Faye over tonight so we can go dress shopping tomorrow and the boys are going looking for suits when they get time off. Everything else is pretty much done. We’re planning on getting married in two weeks so the girls are staying over here for a while. “Maddie, I’m home,” Harry shouted from the door. I stood up and walked to him, “You finished your album now?” I asked. “Yes, so I can be with you and Brooklyn and we can plan our wedding!” He said picking me up. I kissed him and he put me down. I walked towards the nursery. Brooklyn is growing up so fast. It’s mad how much she’s changed in a month. Harry hardly ever sees her so it’s just been me and her. He followed behind me. “Maddie, how do you feel about getting a house? This apartment is getting pretty crowded now Brooklyn’s growing up.” I hadn’t really thought about a house. “I guess, but what about the others?” I asked. “Well Liam, Louis and Niall would still live here but Zayn and Perrie are getting a house. We could always get a place near theirs.” I thought for a moment. “Okay, we can start looking in a few days after I’ve got my dress picked out.” I told him. “Okay,” He took Brooklyn from her crib. “Hey beautiful, I haven’t seen you in ages,” He said rocking her. I laughed and went to make some dinner. Harry came out of the nursery when dinner was ready and we ate our dinner together. I got a call from Brooke saying they had just landed. I got my shoes on and ran to the car. When I got to the airport she was waiting with Faye. They walked over to me and I hugged them. “Hey, what’s the matter Faye?” I said sensing something was wrong. “You didn’t bring Brooklyn…” She said miserably. “She was asleep when I left and it would have taken too long to sort her out baby, come on, let’s go and see her shall we?” I said holding out my hand. She took it and we walked to the exit. I put their suitcases in the trunk and we got into the car. “Your car is really nice Maddie,” Brooke said on the way home. “Thank you,” I replied. “Where’s Brooklyn’s car seat?” Faye asked from behind me. I laughed. “Harry doesn’t let me take her anywhere in this car, I have to use his.” I told her. Both of them laughed. We got back to the apartment block and Faye was really excited. They got their things out of the trunk and walked inside. We got outside the room and Faye was jumping up and down. “Now, you need to be quiet just in case she’s still asleep.” I told them. I unlocked the door and Harry was sitting watching TV. “Hey, is Brooklyn still asleep?” I asked him. “Yeah, she has been since you left,” He said turning around. “Hi girls,” He got up and hugged them. “Harry? Can we please see Brooklyn?” Faye asked. “Sure you can,” He said leading them to the nursery. I followed after them. “Awwh… She’s so cute!” Brooke said admiring her niece. Faye was standing right next to the crib. “Hello Brooklyn, I’m your Auntie Faye,” She said quietly. Harry moved back and stood next to me in the doorway, I hugged him. Faye continued to talk to Brooklyn for about 5 minutes and then we told them it was time to sleep. They went into the guest room and started talking. “Faye is going to be a mini you, I can tell,” Harry said when they shut the door. “I know she is, and she’s going to be an amazing Auntie to Brooklyn.” I answered him. He smiled and walked into our bedroom. I texted Mum because I knew Brooke wouldn’t have.
To: Mum
The girls are safe and sound at mine, loving Brooklyn already, love you xxx
I went to get ready for bed and got a reply.
From: Mum
That’s good darling, have a good couple of weeks, see you on your wedding day, love you too xxx
I smiled and put down my phone. I climbed into bed and we fell asleep. I was woken up a couple of times by Brooklyn but Harry got up and sorted her out both times. I woke up at 9am and went to get Brooke and Faye up. They got ready and had some breakfast whilst I got dressed and sorted Brooklyn out. We were taking her with us because the boys are going to look at suits today. At 10am the girls arrived. I introduced them all to Brooke and Faye and Faye was a bit star struck by Perrie. “What’s wrong with Faye?” Perrie whispered to me. “She loves Little Mix, you’re her idol.” I whispered back. Perrie laughed and went to talk to Faye. “Hey Faye, I understand you like Little Mix?” Perrie said and Faye nodded. “Well, don’t be shocked by me, I’m just a normal person, I’m your sisters friend.” She said. “Come on, let’s go.” Perrie took Faye’s hand and led her out of the door. Harry was letting me take Brooklyn in my car for once because he needs his car. I took the car seat out of his car and gave him the keys. I put the car seat into my car and Perrie put Brooklyn into it for me. Brooke and Faye got into my car and the others all went in Belle’s car. “Drive safe!” Harry shouted from the other side of the parking lot. “I will, don’t worry!” I shouted back. He started to run over to my car. When he got here he handed me some high top sneakers. “Put these on, don’t drive in them,” He said pointing at my high heeled sneakers. I laughed and changed my shoes. “Good, now have a good day,” He kissed me and walked off to his car again. I got in the car and Brooke and Faye were laughing. “What?” I asked. “Harry is so overprotective!” They laughed. “Tell me about it,” I said before putting the key in and starting the car. I put on my seatbelt and pulled out of the parking lot. Belle was following us because only I knew where the dress shop was. We got there and El sorted out Brooklyn whilst I went inside to check they were ready for us. “Yeah, they’re ready, let’s go.” I said grabbing the stroller. “Miss Anderson, it’s a bride and 6 bridesmaids yes?” The lady at the desk asked. “Yeah,” I confirmed. “Do you have any baby dresses?” I asked. “We have a few but it’s a very limited selection.” She answered. “Can we look at them as well please?” I said. “Of course you can, Miss Anderson.” She said. “Follow me,” We walked after her into a room with hundreds of dresses. It’s going to take hours to decide! “Feel free to try on whichever dresses you would like, I’ll just go and get those baby dresses.” She said walking out. Faye was admiring all the dresses. Eleanor walked around and picked up 5 different wedding dresses. “Here, try these,” She said handing them to me. I walked into the changing room and tried on the first one. I walked out and Dani cringed. “Definitely not that one,” Brooke said. I laughed and changed into another one. I showed them. “Hmm, not bad, but not perfect.” Perrie said. I tried on about 10 more dresses before we found one we all really liked. “That’s it. That one is perfect.” El said standing up. “Now for the shoes…” Belle said. Faye sighed, she knows how long I take to find shoes. I looked around and found a really nice pair of strappy heels, I tried them on, “Perfect,” I said showing them. “Them ones.” Faye said standing up, “Is it our turn yet?” She asked impatiently. “Go on then, pink ones only!” I shouted after her. I got changed out of the dress and took it back to the chairs. They all tried on a different dress so I could decide on one. I didn’t like any of the ones they were wearing. “No, try some more.” I said studying them. The woman came back in with the baby dresses. “Thank you,” I said, “How are you doing?” She asked. “We’ve found a wedding dress and some shoes but now we’re looking at bridesmaid dresses.” I answered. “Ah okay,” She said. The girls came back out wearing more dresses. “Brooke’s one.” I said immediately. “We knew you’d say that!” They all said and went to try on the same dress that Brooke was wearing. We had already been here for about 3 hours. I was looking through the baby dresses and I found one I really liked. It was white with a pink rose on it and Brooklyn looked adorable in it. The girls all looked stunning in their bridesmaid’s dresses. We’ve found the one. It was a floor length one strap dress of light pink colour with roses on the strap. As for the wedding dress; you’ll have to wait until the wedding. When we had finished it was 3pm. “Let’s go get some food.” I said to them. We went to a restaurant and had something to eat before going home. “Did you find the dress?” Harry asked as we walked in. “Yeah, suits?” I asked. “Yep, we’re all sorted! What about Brooklyn?” he said taking her out of the stroller. “I found her a dress at the shop, it’s adorable!” I told him. “All set then?” he queried. “Yes, I can’t wait Harry,” I revealed. “Do you want to look at some houses tomorrow?” He questioned. “Yeah okay,” I replied. Brooke and Faye sat and watched TV before Faye begged to hold Brooklyn. We let her but under supervision. She’s never held a baby before.
