When we arrived at my mum’s house I could tell Maddie was really nervous. I got out of the car and got the suitcases out. I handed one to Maddie and held her hand. We walked to the door and I rang the doorbell. “Harry!” My mum shouted when she opened the door. “Hey mum,” I let go of Maddie’s hand so I could hug her. We went inside and shut the door. Gemma and Robin were in the kitchen so we walked towards them. Maddie was shaking. “Mum, Robin, Gemma, this is my girlfriend Maddie,” I said. “Hi Maddie,” Gemma said and hugged her. “It’s nice to finally meet you,” my mum and Robin said. “Maddie, this is my sister Gemma, my step-dad Robin and my mum Anne,” I told her. “It’s good to meet you all,” she said still shaking. I put my arm around her waist and she snuggled into my chest. “So Harry, this is your 3rd Christmas I believe,” Mum said. “Yeah, we had one with the boys and their girlfriends, then we went to California to visit Maddie’s family and now we’re here.” I told her. “Ah okay, well I’m guessing you’re probably tired so I’ll let you two sleep, Christmas number 3 is tomorrow!” She said. I laughed and grabbed our suitcases. I let go of Maddie so I could take them upstairs. When we got into my old room I sat on my bed and Maddie followed. “Baby, don’t worry, they’ll love you,” I reassured her. She had gone all shy like she was when I first met her. “I don’t want them to think I’m not good enough for you Harry,” she said quietly. “They won’t think that, this is a big deal, you’re the first girl I’ve ever brought home and they know that I love you, you make me happy and that will make them happy,” I tried my best to comfort her. “Okay,” she said. She opened her suitcase and pulled out some pyjamas. She went into the bathroom and got changed. I was already in bed when she came back. She climbed into bed and I turned to face her. “I love you Maddie,” I said and kissed her on the forehead. “I love you too Haz,” she whispered.
I woke up to the smell of pancakes, it was a tradition, whenever I come home, Mum cooks pancakes for breakfast. I turned over and saw Maddie fast asleep. I decided to let her sleep and went downstairs. “Where’s Maddie?” Mum asked as I walked into the kitchen. “Sleeping, she was really tired,” She smiled. “You’ve got a keeper this time Haz, she’s beautiful and she was so nervous about meeting us, it shows she really cares,” I smiled back at her. “I know Mum, I really love her, I even thought about proposing but it’s too soon, we’ve only been together for 4 months.” “Harry, if you love her, go for it. Throw yourself into this relationship and don’t let her go. She makes you happy and if she makes you happy she makes us happy,” She hugged me, “Thanks Mum, now where’s my pancakes?” I asked bluntly, she laughed. “Gemma’s got them,” I ran to Gemma, “Gimme some pancakes!” I said. “Calm it bro, here, don’t scoff them all there are some for your girlfriend there as well.” She laughed. “Thanks Gem, do you like her?” I asked. “Yeah, she’s really nice even if she is shy.” She replied. “She’s just nervous, talk to her and she’ll talk to you. But don’t steal my girlfriend.” I told her. She laughed. “Oh right okay, will do, now go get her or at least take her some pancakes.” Gemma ordered. I laughed and walked upstairs with the pancakes. I opened my bedroom door and she was just getting up. “Morning gorgeous, I got you some pancakes,” I told her. “Thank you Harry,” she said taking the pancakes. She ate them and then got up to get ready. She pulled yet another red dress out of her suitcase. “How many red dresses do you have woman!” I shouted. “About 10,” she smirked. I laughed and she went into the bathroom. She came out and she looked stunning. This time the dress went down to her knees and had a gold belt around the waist. I stood up and held her hand as we walked downstairs. “Good Morning Maddie, you look stunning,” Gemma said. “Thank you, you too,” Maddie replied. We sat down and waited for Mum and Robin. They came in with a present and Gemma ran to get one. Ours were upstairs. “Here you go Harry; it’s for both of you.” Mum handed me the present. I let Maddie open it. It was a photo album which was filled with pictures of us. They had had the same sort of idea as Brooke but they had more pictures. It was really nice. “Thank you so much,” Maddie said, “It’s lovely, it’s like what my sister gave us.” My mum smiled. “What was that?” “It was a framed picture of me and Harry, it’s really nice.” Maddie answered. Gemma came back with two presents. “I didn’t know what to get you as a couple so I got you separate things, sorry,” She said. “Don’t worry about it,” I said. I opened mine. It was some Hugo Boss aftershave. I looked to see what she had gotten Maddie. It was similar. She had given her Nina Ricci perfume. “Thank you Gemma,” Maddie said, “Thanks Gem,” I said getting up to hug her. We went and got the presents. Gemma got a pair of Kurt Geiger ankle boots, Maddie’s idea, and we got Mum and Robin a break in Paris for a week. They all thanked us. We chatted for a while and Gemma and Maddie got to know each other. I was glad that my girlfriend and my sister got on. They even exchanged numbers. It’s the 30th of December tomorrow and we’re going home for New Year’s. We wanted to spend it together with the boys and their girls. We were having a little party so we had to set up.
-Skip to leaving-
Before we left Gemma and Maddie promised to talk regularly and maybe even meet up sometime. They got really close yesterday. Gemma had told me not to break up with her because she likes having her as a friend. I told Gemma that Maddie was for keeps and she smiled like the freaky cat out of Alice in Wonderland. It was so funny. All the way home Maddie slept, she was still really tired from coming back from California. She cannot handle jetlag. We pulled into the car park at the same time as Zayn. I woke Maddie up and got out of the car. “Hey, how was your Christmas?” I asked him. “Great, what about yours?” he replied unloading his car. “Amazing, she gets on so well with Gemma.” I laughed. “Well obviously! They both like to talk. A lot.” Zayn laughed walking towards me. “You should have seen her before we went inside. She was speechless.” I told him. “I am here you know!” Maddie said from behind me. “I know,” I laughed. I got the suitcases out of the car and walked inside with Maddie and Zayn. “So are the others back?” I asked. “Louis and Liam are but Niall is coming back later.” He said. “Okay, well come round if you want, if that’s okay with Maddie?” I turned to her. “Yeah sure it is, where’s Perrie?” She asked Zayn. “She’s at her apartment, she’s sick of me after Christmas!” He laughed. Maddie laughed with him, “I wish I could get rid of this one sometime!” She said nudging me. “Hey, that’s mean.” I said pouting. They both laughed. “Well I’ll see you guys later then, I’ll tell the others.” Zayn said unlocking his door. “Okay, see you later,” I said. Maddie unlocked the door and we walked in. “Do you really want to get rid of me?” I asked. “Sometimes, but I’d be lonely without you!” she said. I laughed. She dumped her bag on the floor and sat on the sofa. There was a knock at the door. I opened it, “Hi Harry,” Belle said. “Come in Belle,” I said. She walked in and saw Maddie. “Hey Mads,” Maddie turned around. “Hey, come and sit down.” She said. “I’ll leave you girls to it.” I said. I went to Louis’ apartment. “Hey bro,” I said walking in. “Hi, where’s Maddie?” he asked. “With Belle,” I replied. “Oh right, I was gonna come round but I’ll tell the boys not to bother,” He said. “Okay, what about Eleanor?” I couldn’t see her. “She’s gone home, she’s pissed with me.” He answered. “Why?” I was confused. “Because I said some stuff that upset her, I was drunk so I couldn’t control myself but she got really annoyed and took most of her stuff from here.” I felt bad for him. He really loves her but he can’t control himself when he’s drunk. “Mate, you can’t lose her.” I told him. “Yeah I know, I’ve tried calling her but she isn’t picking up. I’m going to go to hers tonight.” He replied. The doorbell rang. I opened the door. “Hey, is Louis here?” El asked. “Yeah, come in.” I said. Louis was standing up. “El, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean any of that stuff.” He said. “Yeah I know, I listened to your voicemails. I’m sorry Louis.” They hugged. “It’s okay, you’re here now.” He told her. I went to my room. Not much of my stuff was in here but there was enough. I was going to sleep here tonight. I got a text.

Do you want me to? I don’t mind staying here xx
I waited for a minute and I got a reply.
From: Maddie<3:*
Come back baby xx
I did as she said and walked back next door. I hugged her when I walked in. “Miss me then?” I asked. “Lots,” She said. I laughed and went to have a shower. I went straight to bed after and Maddie did the same. I was really tired.
