Harry’s P.O.V
I’ve been back for 5 days now and I’m getting ready to go to California with Maddie. I asked my mum if it was okay and she said that she wanted me to be happy so she doesn’t mind me being away for Christmas this year. She knows I want to ask Maddie’s parents for her hand in marriage and she said that I should go for it. When we get back, I’m going to take Maddie to meet my family for a 3rd Christmas.
Our 1st Christmas is going to be today with all the guys and girls, the 2nd one with her family and the 3rd with my family. I’m happy that she is meeting my parents and Gem soon and she’s excited for me to meet her parents and sisters. Although she has told me that I have to get on with Faye, her youngest sister or she can’t be with me and I think she’s telling the truth. I like to think I’m good with kids though so hopefully I’ll get on with her.
Maddie is currently getting ready to go to Niall, Liam and Zayn’s apartment for our first Christmas. She’s wearing a stunning red dress and the same black blazer she wore in Australia. She looks amazing.
“Ready?” I asked her.
She nodded her head. I held out my hand and she took it. Walking to the boys’ apartment, we could hear the noise of everyone else already there. We’ve agreed to just get couple presents this year but Maddie and I got an extra present for Louis as well considering it’s his birthday on Christmas Eve. We’re all giving our partners presents when we’re alone, it’s more intimate that way, and we don’t have to share that moment with everyone else.
However, I’m going to wait until our 3rd Christmas to give Maddie my present for her. We gave Louis his birthday present first and everyone laughed once they saw what it contained. We got him earplugs considering he is always complaining about our noise.
“Thanks guys, I’m sure I’ll be needing these.” He laughed, putting them to one side.
“That’s your birthday present mate” I told him.
Zayn and Perrie handed out their presents next. They gave us a ‘his and hers towel set’. It makes sense because we practically live together at Maddie’s flat now. Then it was Lou and El’s turn to hand out the presents, I let Maddie unwrap it this time. Maddie burst out laughing when she opened it. Being the jokers they are, they’ve given Maddie some sexy black lingerie.
“Thanks guys, you might both want earplugs now.” I joked.
I bet they forgot about that. We opened the rest of the presents and handed ours out. It was a really good day all in all. I love spending time with these guys. It was 9 o’clock when we decided to watch a film. After the film we all said goodbye, Maddie and I are leaving on Louis’ birthday so we won’t get to see him.
We’re going to be packing all day tomorrow and then we leave at 1 in the morning. They’re all spending Lou’s birthday together and then going home with their girlfriends for Christmas, and Niall, well Niall is just going home. When we got back to Maddie’s apartment, we crashed out on the bed. It’s been a long day.
We woke up in the morning wearing exactly the same things as we were wearing the day before. Maddie got up, had a shower and changed as I just lay on the bed.
“Get up Haz,” Maddie shouted throwing a cushion at me.
“Hey, why do I need to?” I said throwing it back.
“Because you need to pack!” I groaned and got out of bed. I walked into her wardrobe and got down her suitcase and went next door to get mine. I came back and put in the things that I’d left here that I would need. I zipped it up.
“There, I’m done!” I said getting back into bed.
“Harry Styles. Get out of bed!” She threw some clothes at me. “Go take a shower.” I got up and did as she said. She’s really stressed about taking me home with her.
When I came out of the bathroom she was sitting on the floor putting stuff in her suitcase. I went to help her.
“I’m sorry for yelling at you Harry, I’m just stressed.” She said.
“Yeah I know babe, its fine.” I told her. When she’d finished packing she brought her suitcase out into the living room and collapsed on the sofa next to me. She put her head on my legs.
“What are you watching?” She asked.
“Just seeing what the tabloids have been saying.”
“And?”
“They haven’t said anything lately, which is good.” She nodded and got up.
“Where are you going?” I questioned.
“To see Belle, I don’t want to leave without saying goodbye to her.” She told me, making me nod in response and wave. She left and I went back to watching the TV.
About 15 minutes later there was a knock at the door. I got up from the sofa with much reluctance and opened it.
“Hey mate, I heard Maddie leave so I thought I’d come and keep you company.” Louis said. I smiled and let him in.
“How did you know it was Maddie that left?”
“I heard her talking to Belle.” He responded.
“Oh right,”
Maddie’s P.O.V
I’m really stressed right now so I texted Louis and told him I was going to Belle’s and that he should go and see Harry. I went to Belle’s and stayed there for about an hour until I was ready to go home again. Harry was asleep when I got back so I went and joined him, only being woken up by an alarm. It was 10.30pm and we need to leave for the airport. I ran into the bathroom and got changed. I shouted at Harry to get up and he immediately woke up. He realised we had to go to the airport and grabbed his keys off the side before getting his suitcase. I took my suitcase and held his hand as we left the apartment, I’m really nervous about him meeting my parents.
When we got to California, I called my dad and he told me where they were. Harry and I walked hand in hand over to them. When Faye saw me, she ran from Mum straight over to me.
“Maddie!” She shouted.
“Hey Faye, I’ve missed you so much.” I let go of Harry’s hand and hugged her. I walked over to my parents and Brooke. I hugged them all and then introduced Harry. “Mum, Dad, this is my boyfriend Harry.” I said nervously.
“It’s nice to meet you Harry,” My dad said as he shook Harry’s hand. Mum hugged him.
“It’s good to finally meet you, we’ve heard a lot about you,” She said, smiling at him.
Brooke stood up and whispered in my ear. “Your boyfriend’s well fit!” making me laugh at my little sister.
I whispered back “I know,” causing her to laugh as well.
Faye spoke to Harry for the whole car journey home. I think it’s safe to say she likes him. When we got back to the house I went up to my room with Harry.
“Faye likes you, and Brooke thinks you’re fit.” I told him.
“Does she now?” He smirked. I kissed him, smiling to myself about how well he’s getting on with them already.
“You passed the Faye test by the way,”
“Oh yeah, I forgot about that. When you told me if I don’t get on with Faye you’ll have to break up with me. I’m glad I passed,” Harry laughed. “The straight blonde hair runs in the family huh?” He asked.
“Yeah, it looks cute on Faye though don’t you think?”
“Yeah it does,” He agreed with me. We put our stuff in my room and went back downstairs.
“Harry! Come and sit with me,” Faye shouted when she saw us. I walked into the kitchen where Mum was.
“I think you’ve been replaced darling,” She said to me smiling as she watched Harry and Faye. I nodded.
“Yeah, but at least she gets on with him. We’re pretty serious.” I told her. That’s when she noticed the ring.
“You’re not engaged are you?” She asked.
“No, this is just a promise ring, he got it for me when I went to visit him in Australia,” I explained.
She nodded but I could tell she was confused.
“What was he doing in Australia?” Then I realised that I haven’t told her about him being in a band, I guess I figured she knew. I went and got my laptop from my room and brought it back down. I sat at the breakfast bar and typed ‘Harry Styles’ into Google as Mum stood behind me.
When I typed it in hundreds of articles came up, I changed it onto images and Harry’s face was all over the screen.
“Honey, why didn’t you tell me you were dating a popstar?” She asked.
“Because I wanted you to meet him first, I didn’t want you to tell me to split up with him.” I admitted and she shook her head.
“Oh darling, I would never tell you to break up with him, pop star or not, I just wish you’d have told me,” She said.
I walked out into the living room and sat next to Harry, “Hey, stop replacing me,” I said to him, pouting.
“What do you mean?” He looked puzzled.
“I’ve always been Faye’s favourite and now you’re replacing me,” I said.
“Oh sorry, I didn’t mean to,” He apologised.
“I’m joking. I’m glad you get along with her,” I said, kissing him on the cheek.
Harry’s P.O.V
I left Faye and Maddie watching TV and went into the kitchen to talk to her parents.
“I want to ask you something,” I said to them.
“Go on,” her dad said.
“We’re pretty serious now and we’ve been together for over 4 months, I know that’s not a very long time but it feels like years, that’s how much I love her. I want to ask you for her hand in marriage,” I said nervously.
“Of course you can marry her Harry, you make her happy and that’s all we can ask for.” They both said.
“Thank you.” I sighed with relief.
“So, do you have any idea when you are going to propose?” Her mum asked.
“I don’t really know. I just wanted to ask in advance. She hasn’t met my family yet and when I gave her the promise ring she told me that she wants to have met each other’s families before we even begin to think about getting engaged. I’m really serious about her and I won’t let you down.” I told them.
“We know you won’t Harry,” I thanked them again and went back into the living room, seeing Maddie crashed out on the couch. I picked her up and carried her to her room. She’s so beautiful even when she’s asleep.
I know I love this girl, but when I was asking if I could propose to her and said we’ve been together for 4 months it seems too soon. Zayn and Perrie dated for two years before getting engaged. I just need to wait. It is too soon, and I need to give us a bit more of a chance before something like marriage.
Deciding that I wasn’t tired enough to sleep yet, I went to talk to Faye.
“Hey Faye,” I said sitting next to her.
“Thank you Harry,” She replied, instantly making me confused.
“What for?” I asked.
“Making Maddie happy, I’ve never seen her so happy,” She answered and I smiled.
“I try my best; she makes me happy as well.” I admitted.
“Before she left, she was really depressed. None of us know why, but now she’s so happy and smiley, she hasn’t stopped smiling since you got here.” She told me.
“I don’t know why she was depressed, maybe it’s because she was leaving her family. When I first met her she wasn’t upset and when I first saw her she was giggling away with her friend, Belle.” I told her.
Faye smiled. “I know, she was happy when she met you, she told me on the phone. Does she get on with Louis, Niall, Zayn and Liam?” she asked.
“You know I’m in One Direction?” I was surprised.
“Yeah, I’m a fan, but I like you because you make Maddie happy not because you’re in a band,” She said, making me smile again,
“Thank you, and yes she does get on with them. She’s really good friends with their girlfriends; we all get along really well.” I explained.
“That’s cool; but I’ve got to go to bed now Harry, good night.” She hugged me before getting up and skipping off.
“You’ve got an admirer there,” Gabrielle told me from the doorway of the kitchen.
“I don’t mind, she’s really cute,” I replied.
“I’m so glad you get on with her Harry, Maddie adores Faye. She means the world to her,” I nodded.
“I know, she told me that when she was talking about her.” Gabrielle came and sat next to me.
“Before Faye came along, Maddie was the typical teen. Sitting in her room moping around all the time, but then when I had Faye she perked up. She loved Faye so much; she looked after Faye as if she was hers. Whenever I needed help, Maddie would be there. It was so nice to see her like that, that’s why they are so close if you were wondering.” She read my mind.
“I was actually, that’s lovely, why isn’t she very close with Brooke then?” I asked.
“She is they just don’t show it. They adore each other as well. Brooke fell apart when Mads left, it was hard to see her like it. I’ve never seen her so upset. Of course Faye was upset as well but Faye coped with it better. Brooke looked up to Maddie and found it really hard to be the role model herself. She’s adjusted now though.”
“Oh okay, thank you Mrs Anderson.”
“Please, call me Gabrielle; Mrs Anderson makes me sound old!” She laughed.
“Okay I will. I’m really happy that you’ve welcomed me into your home like I’m family.” I said.
“Harry, we consider you family. All the girls adore you; you are part of our family now.” I was shocked to hear the words come out of her mouth.
“Thank you,” I said still surprised. “I hope you don’t mind but I’m going to go to sleep now, I’ve been up for a long time.”
She nodded. “Of course, that’s fine. See you in the morning Harry.” I smiled and walked upstairs. I got ready for bed and got in, putting my arm around Maddie and falling asleep.

This is where the chapters start getting longer, I've got quite a lot of this story done already but I'm going to start a sequel for my previous story now at the same time so I might not update that often but I'll try and continue to for you guys! :)
