Still The One
Chapter 53
~ Capri's POV ~
"This one is from 2003 isn't that-" I cut Liam off in the middle of his sentence.
"Yes!" I grabbed it from his hands and began to read through it. I scanned through the pages quickly, just want to find Kate's name or something.
Dear Whatever I'm Going To Call You, 1/23/03
Today I met the most amazing girl. Kate Johnson. At Starbucks, I spilled my iced tea on her (nice going) and she insisted to buy me another. Of course I wouldn't let her, so I asked her out to dinner. We're going out tomorrow night, and I'm really nervous. I mean, she's way out of my league. Like, way. Her hair falls half way down her back, and her blue eyes sparkle like no other. I found out that she likes giraffes, and she's 20. One year older than me. If that doesn't make me more nervous then I'll be fine on this date. But of course her being older than me is definitely nerve racking.
I flipped to the next page, wanting to read more but stopped my self, and turned back. I held the book out to Harry and he took it in his hands.
"Read." He nodded and his eyes read over the page. He mouth dropped open and Liam took it from him and read it himself.
"See, Capri never lied to you." Liam said to Harry.
"I see that now. Jesus, if only you showed me these sooner..." He trailed off.
"What? Then you would have stayed? You wouldn't have left me alone with our daughter? You wouldn't have taken away our daughter? Harry, those things happened because you didn't give this time. You didn't stay long enough for me to explain this." I said to him calmly.
"I know... I just..." He placed his head in his hands and sighed loudly.
"Got caught up in the moment?" I finished. He nodded his head, and I picked up all of his journals. And placed them back in the box.
"I want to go one more place before we go to the hotel." I stood up and they did the same.
"Where?" Zayn asked.
"The graveyard." I said to him.
"Are you sure? You haven't been in, as it seems, years" Liam added.
"I'm sure. I owe it to him."
We pulled up to the grave yard, and I looked at them
"You guys, can you stay here? It'll only be a minute." I asked.
"Take your time, Love" Liam kissed my cheek and I got out of the backseat. I walked around the yard, remembering exactly where his stone was.
I knelt down in front of it and smiled slightly.
"Hi. I haven't been here in about four years. I'm sorry. I miss you Jacob, I really really miss you. I'm here with my friends today, well their practically family. All, my other family is gone. Like I told you before, mom left. And... now dad's in jail. Their really all I have. A lot has happened in these past couple of years. I got married at 19, had a kid. She's two now, and her name is Darcy. She's beautiful, and reminds me of you sometimes. My husband, well ex-husband, is in this really famous band, called One Direction. The other boys, Niall, Louis, Liam, and Zayn, are like my other brothers besides you. Except for Louis. Louis and I are together. He's really great, you would have liked him. He's a lot like you, actually. Funny, kind, stands up for himself, and others. I wish you were still here with me. I have trouble sometimes remembering that I can't really see you anymore. It sucks. But, I know you're in a better place now, eating all of the pancakes heaven can provide for you," I chuckled a bit, "I should probably be going, because my friends are in the car waiting. I love you." i stood up and then noticed I was crying. Great.
~ Zayn's POV~
I watched as she sat in front of his stone and talked to him. She would occasionally laugh or chuckle at something she had said. Her face would change to devastation and she would wipe away the single tears that fell from her eyes.
"It's amazing how she does that" I said. Harry turned his head in the passenger seat to look at me.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"She can sit there and talk to him, like he's actually sitting in front of her and listening." I responded. he nodded and we all looked back over to her. She stood up from the ground and began walking back.
She opened the door and slid in the back next to Liam. She looked out the window and I started the car up.
"Are you okay?" Liam asked her.
"Yeah." Her voice was shaky and it broke my heart.
~ Capri's POV ~
We pulled up to the arena and I jumped out of Zayn's car and over to security.
"Hello, Ms. Williams." The head of outdoor security greeted.
"Hi. Is Louis here yet?" I asked him. He nodded and let me in.
"Capri!" Paul startled me and I jumped.
"Oh my god! You scared me!" I said to him. He walked over to me and gave me a hug, I hugged back and he smiled.
"Are you okay? And are the other three here?" He asked.
"I'm fine, just looking for Louis, and the boys should be on their way in." He smiled at me and rushed over to the dressing room looking for Louis'.
I opened the door and shut it without knocking and he was getting his hair finished up by Lou.
"Hey, whats wrong?" Louis asked me while getting up from his chair and away from Lou.
"I visited him." I whispered.
"Jacob?" Louis asked while cupping my face in his hands. I nodded and another tear trickled down my face. He kissed it away before pulling me into his arms. My eyes closed and I buried my face in the crook of his neck.
"Are you okay?" He asked. I nodded my head yes and he sighed. He pulled away and looked me in the eyes.
"No, honestly." I ran my hand through my hair and frowned.
"Fine. No, I'm not okay." He nodded and pulled me back for a hug.
"I love you, Capri." He said.
"I love you." I responded.
"I really hate to ruin this so touching, and beautiful moment, but Louis, I really need to finish your hair." Lou said while giving me a sad look.
"Go do Niall's or something." She shrugged and left the room with her supplies.
"So, tell me about it." I sighed and sat on his lap on the couch.
