Never Expected That!!
Dream Job!!!
“R U Crazy, R U Crazy, R U Crazy must be stupid if you think we can start again” played as I got ready for the first day as an outdoor instructor. Even though I would be wearing a helmet I knew I still had to do my hair. Too be honest a girl like me you wouldn’t associate to be an outdoor instructor. I have long dark brown hair that has a natural curl to it, a natural tan (from the surf tour in Cornwall), stunning brown eyes that glisten brighter than the night sky full of stars and natural pink lips.
“And that was R U crazy by Connor Maynard, up after some One Direction, we have some shout outs for some very lucky people out there.” And with that Daryl from the hits radio played Kiss You. I wasn’t a huge fan off one direction but their music was good.
“And now for some shout outs. We have one for a Jessy Smith, starting her new job as an outdoor instructor today. Good luck in the job and that’s from friends and family.” As soon as I heard my name a smile came to my face. You turned your TV off, grabbed your bag, your lunch out of the fridge and your car keys. I placed my curling wand on the kitchen counter and grabbed my shoes from the cupboard. The employer had said to wear normal clothes to work and get changed their as the uniform would be there. I checked the back door to see that it was locked and made my way to the front door, I finally checked myself in the mirror and took one deep breathe before I left to enter my car. Keys in the ignition, iPod plugged in and on my car playlist, full blast I think. I am so glad that I have saved my money over the years so I could finally buy my dream car even though it’s on finance, but hay hoe.
As I pulled in to my new dream job in a newly opened outdoor activity centre car park, people were looking at me, I turned down my music but people still looked at me. Have I said that I own a Land Rover Sport in crimson Red.? I got out and I had on my white converses, rolled up leggings, a white vest top, a collared white sleeveless blouse that showed of my tan and my leather jacket. I nearly forgot my handbag. I picked it up off of my passenger seat and locked up the car after I got my gym bag out the back. I walked into the reception area and my boss was stood there waiting. By the way he looked at me I kind of guessed that it looked like I had arrived to the wrong place. See at my interview I had two parts a formal interview which I dressed for a sectary job.
“Miss Smith, you’re here!! We were not sure what time you would be arriving... Here’s your uniform the staff room is just down the hall where there is toilets in which you can get changed.” He said and I followed him to the staff room. When I entered the room, after putting in the very unflattering uniform, I put my stuff into a locker. By this time everyone else started to pile in. “so for today we aren’t actually open to the public yet but we are going to do some team building so we can get to know everyone.” The boss said.
