Kidnapping
First of all, if your story is about the band, or one of the boys kidnapping someone you better back the fuck up. They are an internationally famous boy band under the watch of public eye almost 24/7, yet they can get away with kidnapping? That shit just doesn't work. However, say the boys aren't in a band and kidnap someone. In that context, it would be okay.
If the main girl, or any character for that reason, are getting kidnapped by someone else, you better have a good reason to back up why they got kidnapped. It may be for money, revenge, family history (guilty), but you have to have a reason.
Kidnapping, however, is just a slight bit overused; whether it be the main plot or a small portion of your story, it just is. I am guilty of using this line when I got writer's block, but I'm never going down that road again.
Time to write. Starting off your kidnapping scene make sure the way your character gets kidnapped is logical. Chloroform is the most common way of taking the kidnapped, but guess what, it's not available for the general public. You can't just get chloroform anywhere, and it is highly toxic. If you can smell it, your already above the exposure limit. Just because you see it in the movies or on a TV show does not make it real!
Try thinking more realistic here. Ever heard of those vans that give out free candy? Sometimes they don't need chloroform to open their trunk and take the prettiest lollipop they see walking down the street. Ever heard of an alley at night? Sometimes men can just happen to pull guns out of their pockets and hold them to that same dum-dum's head.
When writing about kidnapping, time is a must in my book. Don't have the character be kidnapped and immediately be saved; it's boring. Extend the length of the kidnapping over time to keep readers on the edge of their seats. Not only will your readers be excited, but for once they might actually consider commenting on your kidnapping relevant story.
