Smut
Smut, or graphically written SEX, is something you really shouldn't be writing about. Does it attract readers? Sure. But do you really feel comfortable writing a scene of sex? Your answer should be no. Here are some tips if you do decide to go down the route:
-Make sure you feel comfortable about writing smut. If you don't, but feel like your story "needs" it, ask someone who is comfortable to write it for you.
-Don't write about smut if you don't know how sex works.
-If you've never had sex, don't write what you think sex would be like, because - unless your mom is nurse who talks about dirty things like mine - you shouldn't be writing shit about sex. Just don't.
-Smut is a serious topic, so you should treat this topic seriously. If you can't treat it seriously don't write about it.
-If you're readers beg for a sex scene, what the hell do the know? It's your story, do whatever the fuck you want with your story.
Readers of smut:
-If you aren't comfortable with the sex topic, don't read it either. Keep your minds clean and don't go to a school where people have sex in the park next to it during lunch. (shit happens at my school)
-Don't get any ideas. Just because sex is promoted in most stories, doesn't mean you have to have sex. Sex is serious. Cherish your vaginas.
-You dirty-minded people...
