Behind The Masks

I picked up a vase and threw it at a wall. I'm pissed, and, for some odd reason, hurt. Hurt overthrew all of my anger. I was hurt that Willow would kiss Jake like how she kissed me. She kissed him with the same passion that she kissed me with. But there was more to that kiss. There was love. Love that I wish she'd give me. I've only known her for a day, and I'm already saying I love her.

"What happened to you, Styles?" I laughed at myself. "Going after a girl whose... What? 4-5 years younger than you? Someone who you've only known for hours and you love her? What about all those other girls? What about Autumn?" The thought of Autumn hurt me more. Every girl I truly loved had betrayed me. Maybe, I'm just meant to be lonely and hurt.

I looked over at the broken shards of glass. Those sharp blades that could easily glide across my skin, slicing it open. It would let the blood, pain, and life drain out of me. I slowly walked over to the broken glass. I fell down next to it. I grabbed a shard and examined it. For no reasons really. I just looked at it, before placing an edge against my skin. Just a simple movement, and my skin was sliced open. I looked at a sight I hadn't seen in a little more than three years, the last months of my depression. Suddenly, all the bad things in my life come flashing back. The stress and pain of the last few months. The betrayal of Autumn. My heartbreak from Willow. Everything.

I sliced a few more cuts. I watched the blood slowly ooze out of the deep cuts. A welcome sight. I heard the doorknob turn. I looked over to the door. I was too weak to stand. I dropped the bloody glass shard and looked at the blood that stained my shirt. The door opened.

"SHIT HARRY!" I heard a familiar voice yell. I looked over.

"Oh. Hey, Marissa," I said calmly.

"Shit. Shit. Shit. LOUIS!" she yelled.

"I'll be fine, Marissa. Don't worry." I smiled faintly at her. But I knew I wouldn't be all right. I was starting to feel more and more numb. Everything was slowly turning black.

"Shit," I heard Louis say. Before I started falling into a dark world.
