♡ Chapter 34 ♡
Lexi's POV
Finally! I'm done texting everyone to vote for Diana as homecoming queen, god I hope this works and this Claire chick helps me out.
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*
"Hello?" I hear my mother answer.
"NO YOU CAN'T JUST DO THIS!" my mother yells.
I run downstairs and there are cops.
"Lexi Rowlands?" asks one of the cops
"Yes?" I reply
"You're under arrest for attempted murder."
Oh Shit.
Diana's POV
I slowly opened my eyes and turned to face Harry. His lips were parted and he was snoring lightly.
I kissed his nose and then his eyelids slowly flickered open.
"Morning sunshine." he said smiling.
"Morning." I replied giggling. I slowly got out of bed but Harry pulled me back.
"This is where we cuddle for a few hours." he said smiling.
"Actually, this is where we have school tomorrow and it's not just school but exams. So this is where I go out, get us food, you get study notes ready and I'll be back soon." I reply kissing his nose.
"Diana but-"
"No Harry, once were done with exams then maybe we can have a repeat of last night." I said smiling.
"Mabye?" he asked smirking
"Mayyyyybe." I replied
I got back from Starbucks and the shops with a shit load of food. I went to my room and Harry had set up books everywhere.
"Nice job Styles." I said smiling.
"I know." he replied taking the food out of my hand.
"Now where do we start?" I asked laughing.
We had been stydying all day and finally Harry and I were going to take some time to relax, then Harry had to go home since he's slept over twice in two days.
Harry and I were lying on the beach. We brought food and blankets and decided to make a picnic out of what we had. I was lying on Harry's chest just listing to his heartbeat and the sound of the ocean.
"If you could fly where would you fly to?" I asked smiling.
"Anywhere you would go." he replied.
"Cheesy much?" I asked laughing.
"Always, how about you?" he retorted
"New York." I replied "I just love the sound of the city." I added
"True." Harry replied.
We laid there in complete silence for what seemed like minutes, but we both knew we had been there for hours.
"Where are we going...?" Harry asked all of a sudden. "Like, where are we going in life? I know we've both applied to Manchester University, but what if we don't get in? All my other University options are different from yours." he said nervously.
"Harry... I feel like even though we don't make it. We will be fine." I reply.
"I know but...I don't want to loose you. For fucks sake, I can't loose you." he replied.
"You won't. I promise." I say laying on top of him.
"Promise?" he asks.
"Promise." I reply kissing his nose.
I got home and went to my room. I looked at the date. June 14th. 6 Years ago tomorrow was the day my mother passed away. I've been so carried away with school, friends and Harry that I almost forgot.
I set my alarm clock for 5am and closed my eyes.
I woke up and I instantly felt dead inside. I slowly got out of bed and went to my washroom. I hopped in the shower and slowly let the water run down my back. I tilted my head back and the water hit my hair and face. The warm water felt good against my cold skin and I felt at peace for a split second. I quickly washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner before getting out and drying off. When I was completely dry from head to toe I did my make-up quickly. Nothing fancy. Where I was going people wouldn't care.
I walked back into my room and slipped on one of my many black dresses and a pair of heels.I quickly packed a casual outfit for afterwards then headed downstairs. I grabbed my backpack and headed out.
I drove by a flower place and stopped. I got out and bought a bouquet of blue bells, my mothers favorite flowers.
I got back in my car and drove. My phone kept beeping but I ignored it. I got to the place and quickly checked my phone.
From Harry:
Morning Love :) <3
From Harry:
I'm going to Starbucks to read over my notes before our exam, you wanna meet me there?
From Harry:
So it's 6am and you're not here I'm assuming you're either sleeping or sleeping LOL, meet me at Starbucks asap :)
I closed my phone without reply and started walking. I passed by grave after grave after grave. Everything about this place was so somber and sad. I finally reached the two graves I was looking for. I knelt down and touched the stone with my hand.
"Hi mom. How's it going?" I slowly put the flowers down and sat crossed legged.
"I'm really confused. I don't know what I want right now. I love Harry, I really do. But what if we don't make it through University. For fucks sake, what if we don't make it through the summer? I just need you here and I know you and dad are watching over me but I really just need a sign. I need a sign that Harry and I should be together, that I'm right and that all my fears are simplify me panicking and second guessing myself. I just need to know that for once in my life I'm right about something and that everything isn't going to go wrong."
A strong gust of wind came along and a leaf hit my face. I slowly peeled it off and the leaf was shaped in a perfect heart.
"Thanks mom. I love you." I say before leaving. I have an exam to catch.
Harry's POV
Where is she? The teacher is just about to hand out the exam and she's not here. Should I go look for her? Did I say something to piss her off? What's wrong? Why isn't she here? Did Lexi try to hurt her again? Have the cops arrested her yet, they found the proof from the school hallway video's, they also found the knife and they have Diana's voice recording of what happened. She has to be in jail by now. Did she escape?
A million terrifying thoughts ran through my head. Just when the bell rang a familiar face ran through the doors and sat next to me.
Thank god. I can't loose my sunshine again.
